Great vid! I was nervous for a while after buying my Mini 3. It seemed like all the YT vids pertaining to drones were people being harassed while flying. I'm beginning to realize that is not the case.

I'm curious! I bought a Mini 2 SE a couple of days ago, but had to send it back immediately. It does depend on the conditions and circumstances but I’d say it’s capable of flying up to 1/2 a mile in most scenarios. But under better conditions I have flown it up to 3 miles away. Generally that is completely unnecessary and most of the best images and video I capture are within the general area where I launch. Hope this helps!

Hey, i have a question (actually 2 questions, i guess), i will try to make them as short as possible. lol. I live in a DJI altitude zone, i guess it's called the grey zone, says altitude restricted to 500 meters. WHen i fly my drone, i cant go any higher than 490 feet, I know ur not supposed to fly higher then u can see, i have really good lights, and can still see it fine, it stops me every time at 490 feet, not meters, feet. How can i go higher??? That wasn't really my question tho, that i was writing about. This is... Where im at in the altitude zone restriction is right on the edge, so i am wondering, if i fly the drone to an area that isn't restricted, can I go higher, OR do i have to have the remote be outside the grey zone? Hope u understand what i mean. I just want a way to go a little higher. Loving your channel man.
Hey there, I am really glad to hear you are enjoying my channel. I would suggest downloading the ALOF "Air Control" App. It is really helpful in knowing what airspace you are in and what the height restrictions are. 400 feet is the max unless you are part 107 certified. However I think to answer your question, have you looked in the the Control tab of the settings menu via the DJI fly app? there you should be able to set the height limit. I can't guarantee that will work, you still may hit a geozone or something. What part of the country are you in?
@@The-Drone-Guy I have put that up as high as it will go, Im in moncton New Brunswick, on the east coast. The height i have it set to is like 1500 feet i think, somewhere around there. I dont want to go higher than that very often, but it would be nice to be able to do it once in a while. I didnt expect to be limited at 490 feet. That's not really that high. And i will try the app, thanks.
@@toddlauretteHabsforlife I’m not 100% sure of laws in Canada so that is also why I may be limited.
