I was happy to get back out there. Weather will be crummy again for the next week. Getting a flight in at a location like this was a blast. Thanks for always sharing for feedback 😌✌️🏔️
When you use Quick Shots aptions can you change the quallity of the picture? For example to be in 2.7 K for your model dron and 4k for dji mini 4k? Did you trying?
After 1 month of flying my Mini 2 SE I started to experience horizon tilt when flying sideway and on a few occasions the gimbal got stuck when starting up the drone. I have also experienced wavy footage when the gimbal is at certain position especially when down but that seemed to have gone away after I gave the gimbal a quick clean up using compressed air.
Hey! Thanks so much for sharing this. I’d say it does happen mostly when flying horizontally and panning around something. I’m really hoping it was because it had to compete with the wind. 💨 stay tuned!
Bit of a technical question regarding RID in the United States. I understand the DJI Mini 2 SE is only 249g, so RID isn't required for recreational use, but it would still be needed for any commercial use, right? Did you add an external module for RID? I've downloaded the most recent Firmware, and I still don't see Remote ID anywhere in the settings. If an external module is required, which one do you recommend?
Hey there this is a great question! I only use my mini 2 se for recreational use however I am being sent a new module to test out and I’ll be excited to share the results with my channel. But you’d be right any drone that isn’t compliant with part 107 standards will need an accessory like that to be used for commercial flying. Are you studying for your part 107?
@@The-Drone-Guy I am studying. Even if I don't do explicit jobs with it, it would be easier to get waivers if it's registered with the FAA via RID. I might be able to pass the test, now, but I need more time with the sectional charts before I'll be confident enough.
I live in your area and thinking about getting my first drone. Do you think I should get this Dji or should I consider the potensic Atom or the Fimi x8 mini? Your thoughts.
Hey there! So glad you had a chance to tune into the channel. Although I have not flown a Potensic drone I would say my main reason why I would chose the DJI over the Potensic is for the tranmission. The DJI mini drones have incredible range and I rarely lose signal to them. If you live in a rural area like NH you will want to be able to capture the vast landscapes. I have seen many people barely being able to get their potensic drone to a distance of 500 meters. I have been able to get my mini 2 se to well over 5,000 meters. In addition the DJI have amazing customer service and warranty options that will insure if something happens you can have it fixed or replaced. Hope this helps but if you have any more questions don;'t hesitate to send them over.
These are the best comments ever! Excited for you to do the same. A fun and endless hobby that for me became an every day thing. Can complain one bit! Cheers and happy flying
I have the Mini 2 se, and i never see mine jerk th way urs does. One of my buddys seen my drone, and bought one, but he got the Mini 4 pro, was $2,000 by the time it was all said and done. He got it on February 29th, and broke it last night, was in a hockey rink, (he runs a rink), and a game got cancelled at the end of the night, so he was all alone, so decided to fly inside. He went in sport mode was was going fast, and turning around to go the other way, he thought it looked "cool!" lol. He slammed into the boards, he's owned it for 5 days, and he busted one of the arms off. I actually repaired it, but told him he should go get it fixed properly. Flying it out of sync probably isnt good for it.
Wow that’s a crazy story! I’m surprised he put it into sport mode inside and voided the obstacle avoidance. I’m hoping it was a combo of the flight maneuvers and wind gusts that made it an issue during this flight. Going to keep the mini 2 se only for calmer days
Love this area! Can't wait to get up to the twin mountain area in a few months! Great video as always! I haven't had that glitch in my mini 2 se so far. Fingers crossed!
Hey! Thanks is so much for watching it’s always nice to see anyone tune just who knows the area I’m in. I’m sure if you stay out do the wind then you should be all good! This drone is so awesome
I love my mini 2 se , it's bulletproof, my toddler has pulled it off the counter by the charging cord and I have accidentally rammed it into the side of my house in sport mode. Thing has zero damage or issues. Also , idk if u know this or not but the 2 se has 3x digital zoom in 2.7K & 4x digital zoom in 1080p but you have to be in video mode. I havent experienced any gimbal issues with mine like you have described
Hey thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience. Other than this wonky gimbal on both my mini 2 se I would agree they are super hardy. I clipped a tree and it fell to the ground 30 feet and only chipped a prop. I love hearing that it is also toddler proof! I guess I forgot you could 4x in 1080 p. I definitely love using the 2x zoom for better compositions. If you hold down fn button and scroll top right using the camera control dial that should allow you to softly zoom in while filming for smoother transition- hope you keep tuning into the channel!
Hi Good day. I just wanna ask if there is need to comply a requirements at the airport? I plan to have a vacation in Philippines from Israel. I dunno if there will be needed to show at the airport. I hope you can answer me.
As far as my experience goes, treat the drone like any other piece of camera gear or electronics with batteries. It is to be in your carry on luggage. I usually have mine right with me in a small bag that is easy to put right into the security bin. No need to do anything special - hope this helps!
Taking my test in a week. Just bought a mini 2se just to have something to fly in budget. But concerned with the remote id laws. Your opinion please.. should I invest in the rid module to comply or return it and upgrade to a 3? With the module the 2se would be same investment as a 3 +/-.
I’d say if this is your only drone you will want to make it as compliant as possible - so that would mean upgrading to a remote id drone or buying the module. Personally I think this is a grey area the FAA has poorly defined but in my experience it’s always better to follow the rules. Hope this helps! Either way that’s awesome you’re going to get your license. Best of luck 👍✌️
It’s usually a subject of the environment you’re flying in. More urban areas tend to be have more interference. Trees and hills can also make it hard so make sure your drone stays within a height it can stay connected to controller. Hope this helps!
i just got this drone yesterday, did loads of research before buying, got an operator id which is required in the UK and decided to get the dji cover plan for a year. love how far you can fly, and the raw video is pretty decent looking at it on my pc :)
Fly low uphill without crashing with the mountain .How can I fly my drone uphill with the slope of the mountain without crashing Is there a technique for that? Suppose I start flying at a height of 10 meters and then want to keep the same distance from the mountainside as I go uphill?

Love to hear a local tuning into the channel!! Fall is like nothing else here and a drone is the perfect way to capture it

Absolutely! in fact most of the dji drones come defaulted at 1080p when in quickshots so make sure to change that before you get going!

If you are flying Outdoors “recreationally” as legally defined, and stay under 250 gm, you don’t need a broadcast module. Check Pilot Institute video.
