iPhone 13 Pro vs Pixel 6 Pro: 2000 Photos Later | Full Frame Ep. 5

  • When the iPhone 13 Pro launched earlier this fall, we said it had the “best camera” in a smartphone. But a few weeks later, Google’s Pixel 6 Pro, with its 50-megapixel sensor that is hard-coded to produce 12.5-megapixel images, was finally released, proving a worthy competitor for the iPhone 13 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera. To settle the score I took 1,000 photos with each device and realized using these cameras was about far more than their end products.

    That Real Tone portion is BY FAR my favorite part. I've long been frustrated with camera software and diverse skin tones. I appreciate that the industry is finally realizing that they've dropped the ball for years. Same goes for image recognition software and all.

    • @masononemine1702
      @masononemine1702 ปีที่แล้ว

      well yes but no. The Pixel 6's rendition of skin tones was about the same as their previous generation phones which did not have the "real tone" feature. Secondly, it still wildly oversharpens skins, and also adds a ton of contrast which, for alot of people make them look worse, or atleast different. If you really want your phone to produce skin tones that look natural, shoot in raw format. The you get better texture and you can adjust the skin tones to your liking

    great video - am still getting used to my Pixel 6 camera. Overall quite happy but I do miss some proper shadows! What I do like is that many things are easily adjustable on the Pixel. I'm still on pixel 3 but one trick for pixel overexposed night shots is to focus on darker subject instead of brighter subject to get a more balanced shot. It think it worth noting that, by going through this, you’ve probably grown immensely in your photography skills. You should do a followup that compares how you used to take pictures vs how you do them now.

    Both cameras are great. At this point, it’s just splitting hairs. And so is the debate between iOS and Android. Both are great. It’s just down to preference with everything.

      And cost - you can get what the iphone 13pro offers on the regular pixel 6 for 300$ less.

    Thanks for actually uploading the photos! That makes *such* a huge difference from all these other reviews where we're expected to compare based on compressed TH-cam quality. I don't know if it was just me, but from peeping pixels on both sets of photos, it seems that the Pixel just has way more detail when you zoom in. In both low-light and daytime shots. I was actually kind of shocked at how blurry most of the iPhone images were? I was actually leaning toward the iPhone initially because I hate big, clunky phones, but camera is really important to me, so I may have to reconsider the Pixel.

    Do u think phone camera will ever be as good as professional camera? And the in house paparazzi is a funny line😀

    • @v4tv
      @v4tv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They never will be as you have much more customisable features on a professional camera that can't be emulated on a smartphone with fixed apertures and focal lenghts. That said sometimes smartphones already take a picture that is almost indistinguishable from professional camera in terms of detail and HDR to your average person.
