    I was looking for information on fixed vs floating rotors for my mountain bike. This video, even though it is for motorcycles, has convinced me to try floating rotors. 👍🏾

      You’ve noted the floated. Welcome aboard! #bikelife #livefast #brakefaster

    0:53 for anyone wondering they don't "actually float". They're held together with metal rivet like things usually called "bobbins".

      But there is play air gap in between the buttons connection 😮 so

    Nice video, but please fix room acoustics. Your views will go up, ALOT, if you fix it.

    2:07 for a moment with how the sequence was progressing I thought that there will be connection between rotors and seat foam :D

    Harley-Davidson front rotors are not fixed to the wheel. They are bolted to a spring washer that enables the rotor to adjust itself to the brake pads. Floating rotors for Harley Davidsons do not dissipate heat better than a fixed rotors because a fixed rotors have slightly more Steel for the heat to dissipate to. Floating rotors have less of a place for heat to dissipate to and hold the heat within the rotor longer and build up more heat. Remember for a Harley-Davidson front or rear rotor even what they call and a fixed rotor is not really a fixed to the wheel.

    Why do you market the wave as an ideal rotor for eMTB?
    I own an urban e mountain/cruiser style best and want what is best, but I never see floating rotors marketed this purpose.
    I’d rather have floating, but not if it’s inferior on my bike somehow

    Seems like a problem area could be the carrier's interface to the buttons where there are concentrated loads from the braking torque.
    Are the buttons steel or hard anodized aluminum, and are the carrier's surfaces hard anodized to prevent galling and premature wear?
    Also, what is the likelihood of noise from the rotor rattling around in the clearances?

      Yes! sounds like that floating rotor is working perfectly as intended.

    I hear the term "rotor blade" a lot in this video. A rotor blade is the wing of a helicopter.

    Road = floating
    Off-Road = fixed
