I build them and ride them into/around my shop, i'm 5'8" and i can flat foot it really easily with my knees bent. The seat height is very low, so you might be a little too tall for it. Go to your local powersports dealer and sit on one.

  • @theperson7718

WOW! Only 99MPH from a 1100cc bike that only weighs around 500 lbs. My CTX700 DCT also around 500 lbs can hit around 85 to 90 and it has 1 tooth down on the front. Would probably hit that 99 with the stock tooth count and it's only a 700cc with only 51HP. Honda if you read this if you're going to put the African Twin engine in the Rebel then put all it's power and toque in as well. Not worth the upgrade in my opinion or not upgrade in my case.

@@MotoCityTV I have seen certain features on other bikes that would limit max RPM to 4000 and slowly raise that limit over the first 1000 miles. I think Triumph does this, but don't quote me on that. However this does not seem to be a feature present in the Rebel 1100, as you hit 8000 RPM after your second turn already (at 4:00). AS UR FIRST BIKE?!?! WTF!?
In the EU ur nit even allowed to. Ur license is first restricted to 48HP and Power/Weight ratio of 0,2. After 2 years u can upgrade from the A2 license to a so called A license without any restrictions.
Dont the people see that its dangerous to drive a big strong bike as a newbie? In my Driving school I started with a 125ccm bike. I learned to use the clutch, let the bike stop and go and so on. A big strong bike will make this much harder for u to learn.
Dont trust these guys, especially americans (which pretty much can buy there motorcycle and gun license at the gas station) who think that all is about the driver and not the bike u drive, because thats wrong! always start with something small and reduce the risk of accidents.

I hear constantly people say rain mode sucks and it so powerless, but them say a new rider cant ride it. The weight for the dct is no more then some smaller displacement cruisers that are considered new rider friendly. And if your a new rider with the self control to keep it in rain mode its a good option. You can buy it and no even have to worry about getting bored of it. You could have it for 10 years and not want to replace it. I did my msf course saved up and bought one. Plan on taking it easy in rain mode and learn the bike. And i gave no doubt ill do fine.

Honda did not provide any documentation on the function... So I was winging it... checking it out as a new rider would. I did explain in the video that the bike was in User Mode... and thus the reason it was not acting as I "thought" it was going to. Another day on the bike and I'd be able to much more intelligently and smoothly explain how it works. NOW... All of this aside... HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR BIKE?
