    Thanks for the video. Those prices give me the confidence to sell myself less short. :D
    Also, heads up, I just noticed that your Instagram link is broken. It looks like it's getting cut off.

      Thanks, I’ll take a look and see what the issue is. Ultimately you can work to the client budget but I rarely had a client ask me what I charge and thought those prices are too high

    Hey Neil, a million thanks for this, it is super helpful!
    How much would you charge for a VO gig that is to be used as an audio tour guide?

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MY ADR reads start around £300

    • @emiliem.8925
      @emiliem.8925 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see! Thanks for sharing Neil. A client is offering £75 per day and presented the gig as a podcast when it is in fact an audio guide...

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s always worth to check and if you can make that budget work for you then go for it. Check with them the usage as audioguid would usually be for tours or museums etc. I’m not familiar with one being a podcast.

    Thanks for this! How are you defining one “gig” that you suggest charging 150 for? Up to 10 minutes? An hour? A day?

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So it’s entirely gig dependant. I’d say maximum 4 hours would be a “day” booking for me but those would be the £300+ prices never for £150. Prices are entirely gig / job dependant. I’ve earned £100 for a 10 minute read and i have earned £900 for a 2 minute read. It depends on the client and the project etc. Like I say no hard and fast rules.

      What are your typical 4 hour gigs?

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me a 4 hour day is a full day booking and I charge between £350-500 plus any commercial element. Again it’s project dependant

    What would be a good price to set for Commercial Rights on Fiverr for Video Game Voices?!

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I assume we are not talking a AAA title and maybe a more student based project? I usually keep my commercial rights on Fiverr around the £40 and broadcast to £100 the kicker is the word count and of course how big a title they are talking

      @@CrownStagVoiceover This is a general question & not a situation I find myself in just yet.. I plan to email Games Companies with my new Voice Reel alongside Fiverr. But I'm wondering if Fiverr will have many clients searching for Video Game Voice Actors? I know there are people selling for that on there, but is it more commercial/E learning? I'm planning on that too, but don't want to get my hopes up if it isn't lucrative for that in particular.

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would probably do it as character rather the video game specific. Just make sure your word count charge is where you are making your money

    • @andobreslin8735
      @andobreslin8735 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CrownStagVoiceover Ok thanks for the tip! Do you recommend any games companies to send my voice reel to?

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really no, the games I have worked on tend to be through agents - the ones that are not indi anyway. Most games companies cast through the more pro routes like agents or larger pay-to-play. I’m not aware of any big developer using Fiverr to cast

    A module may be 1000 words so... "Well you're not going to charge £300 per module, no one's going to pay for that."
    Also you a minute later. "If it's 0-1000 words I'll charge 50p"... 50p X 1000 words = £500.
    Heeeeey, wait a minute! That's sneaky.

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha perhaps I should have been clearer if it’s only 1000 that would be the price but if there are multiple modules then the price adjust. But to be fair I have done e-learning at a much higher rate than that. It really can depend on who you work for

    • @grahamstewart2968
      @grahamstewart2968 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CrownStagVoiceover I'm sure you have. I wasn't suggesting it was an unreasonable amount, especially if you are working with larger corporations. I was just mocking your maths because the lowest price you gave as an example was the same price you said no one will pay.
      Oop Norf, things tend to be a bit cheaper due to the lower cost of living/survival but I've also been in the situation where I've had to force a voice artist to take payment because they didn't value themselves at all.

    • @CrownStagVoiceover
      @CrownStagVoiceover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s true but more often than not a module is about 500 words so it still works out
