Great video for those that have never had or have started a business. My main business that I'm doing now has replaced my day job and next month will replace my wife's day job. And my initial costs in starting it up was a total of $25. I scoop dog poop out of my customer's back yards. I'm applying what I learned from starting that business to becoming "Voice Over Bob". No one becomes an Olympic swimmer by just jumping into a pool. You can only get out of this VO gig, that you put into it. And aside from basic equipment, the most valuable equipment we need is knowledge. Because you don't know what you don't know. Happy to be part of your 3K followers..

Wow, I’m just beginning this journey and it is so refreshing and appreciated to hear the honest and realistic take on getting started in VO. While I have the technical prowess (I’m actually and video editor/producer of broadcast spots and have worked the other side directing VO artists) and feel like I would definitely be better served learning more of the coaching/acting and voice training side. However, there seems to be soo many options for that. Any references of companies or individuals you’ve worked with who you would suggest? Thx much in advance! 😊

I’m not in a union, honestly I could be in one but I have found they can be restrictive. It’s all for the best reasons but I have found more flexibility
