In our experience the wind is often stronger under clouds. Good to see you got a decent sail.

Yes Ann we have noticed this going down the East Coast of Scotland we get a lot more sailing in , enjoy Strangford Loch 😊

My paternal Grandmother was born in Lossimouth. I spend a good amount of time myself at RAF Kinloss (RIP) just down the road.
It's a pity you didn't have time to explore or go further down towards Inverness. Maybe do a victory lap and do the Caledonian Canal next time.

Lossimouth was a beautiful little place, you never know, we might get there again. Haha a victory lap, the Caledonian may be something we have to try. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Hi are you both sailing as far south as Northumberland? I have sailed from Amble to Eyemouth in a friends yacht (35foot) I think only mooring balls on the river Tweed on Spittal side of the estuary, Small port at Tweedmouth/ Spittal, No mariner as I can remember. I would recommend Eyemouth to Amble or Blyth. Amble is handy for the village of Warkworth with it's castle and a short bus ride to Alnwick with it's castle and the Alnwick Garden created by The 12th Duchess of Northumberland, Duchess Jane. Amble has a good mariner with all the usual services. Blyth houses The Royal Northumberland Yacht Club but is a very busy commercial port with all the shipping for offshore rigs and wind farms etc Best wishes and safe sailing. Ps I live in a cottage between Alnwick and Walkworth, so I guess that I am a bit biased.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the advice but the videos are a couple of months behind, we sailed down the East coast as far as Grimsby where Gemini has now been lifted out for the winter. We'll keep your info in mind though if we are ever that way again. There are just so many places to explore but not enough time! Thank you for following our adventures and commenting.

Oh dear, I was hoping to say hello, and generally be your host when you were in North Northumberland. well maybe another time, I also know of anchorage's at Lindisfarne and at Farne Islands, the pan on the Farne's depends on your keel and ability to take to the ground. Best wishes and Safe Sailing. Andraa.

Was it about 9 hours at about a 5knot average speed?

Yes that's right John. We loved Lossiemouth and were disappointed that we couldn't stay and explore but sometimes you just have to keep moving. Thanks for watching and commenting.
