You have showed us in this video that even you, the guy we come here to look up to, gets nervous and stumbles at the beginners stage. It is so refreshing to see this raw and messy time, that can sometimes feel very embarrassing, captured on video. Much more relatable, and cements that "You will get better if you practice" mentality

lol why is your girlfriend filming it as if it's documentary about wild animals?
"Crickey mate we caught one on top, now it is very crucial to not make a lot of noise so that we don't disturb the wild human, here we can see it is a biracial species that has a african and irish heritage, a very rare one indeed, I'm so lucky to caught one on tape. It seems to me like he is having a conversation with another human being, possibly a species that has a latino or a hispanic background based on the sound he is making. Now although they all are a very social animals, they have hundreds of different sounds that they make, so sometimes a human won't be able to socialize with another human because they don't know the sounds that they are making. However it is possible to learn how to understand and make that sound but it is quite difficult for them. You can see the african/irish human struggling to create and understand the sounds that the other human is making, since he is quite new and still trying to learn it. Tune it with us again to see how this conversation would end"

It's always here is some glossary that you need to memorize, here's a shitty old book that you need to read... here's a boring as fuck listening practice... with some shitty phrase such as This is a book, it is very interesting... it's not strange that language class dropout rates are higher than even Calculus and other difficult math related stuff...

This channel is so motivating. Instead of just showing off, you actually show the entire process, and the behind the scenes struggles that you face. Then you expose yourself trying super hard to have a conversation when you're still a beginner. Your videos are real proof that it's possible to master a language with discipline and a good method. Keep doing what you're doing!!!

Focusing on more than one language at one is counterproductive and brutal. you need thousands of hours of learning to reach fluency so it's better to focus on just one at a time. Learning two languages at once actually takes more time than learning them one by one. The more you try to learn at once instead of sequentially, the slower you go.

Will Rogich I like how you picked airport out of every possible public place. Yes, but that’s only because airports have their own words which you rarely use outside of an airport. It’s almost like jargon, even for me as a person speaking English since birth.
But if he was roaming a city like Barcelona, he would be completely fine.

    • @renaissancemanrogue3543

@@basil8474 First of all, that is not true at all. IF you can't get by in an airport your spanish is not even low level. Jargon is in the streets. When you go to a restaurant. or go out. An airport is the most consistent place language-usage wise. My point here is not to make fun of people with a low level of a second language. I am calling out this supposed "polyglot" that barely speaks a liq of spanish. I'm calling out the people who claim they speak a language just to say they can speak languages, instead of learning because of the personal growth opportunities.

I mean, 1 month for the basics is not that bad, I attended a German course for also 1 month but there was no way I could have a normal conversation, even the simplest of topics.
      Keep it up
