So I recently started learning to draw and one thing that helps me is too remember that no matter how many hours you spend hands will still be a fucking nightmare and you'll never be able to draw them realistically. Like if you actually look closely at the hands you can see imperfections and mispoportions but it's a cartoon, it fits with the style. Still, it takes me like 10 minutes to sketch a simple fucking hand and the month's almost ever. I really need to progress faster lol, so if any artist has any artist tips I'll gladly accept them.
@@qwertydavid8070 Sometimes, it's better to just say, "This is good enough." rather than spending hours working and reworking the same drawing, maybe take a break, take a walk or something and come back to it with a clear mind. Check out tips that other artists do to draw hands, or find ways that you can simplify the hands, for example, I always draw the tips of the fingers in a square shape, like Panty and Stocking, it makes it easier to draw the hands overall.

First of all I know that since you're an artist it's very hard for you to take compliments(crazy how I actually know what that feels like now lol) but this animatic is really freaking good and a lot of effort was put into it. I really appreciate your kind words, I guess that the one thing that discourages me the most is that I don't feel like I'm actually progressing much, I still try to draw everyday but it's very hard. I'm still finding new tips and techniques that help me improve my drawings in general and reduce my time, but we're talking about beginner level stuff. Like I've only done crude sketches and even those don't look so good. Maybe if I actually set myself time limits I can be better, I really need to stop trying to be perfect all the time with freaking sketches because I'm honestly just slowing myself down. That's a good theory but it's not true. The only reason that the other guy, Oliver happened to walk into the bar at that time is because he's an alcoholic and that's a bar he frequents. I do like inspiring people to come up with their own ideas though, yours is very good!

Context of the original song was that she became a serial killer to try and get the attention of her crush: another serial killer. But the detective crush idea would be fun to play out, wouldn't it? Like Light and L in deathnote but a little more playful xD

The range from nervous novice, to experienced cold, to love crazed, to bonified nut job, to utter wreck, a full character circle in tone, all done to song. Absolutely astounding display of range. Whoever she is, she's got one hell of a career ahead of her.
I really like how you designed everyone (the little details like scars, tattoos, piercings) even if there on the screen for half a second. It makes them feel like they had a story to tell.

This gives me a really good idea for a mystery: A circus performer (like an acrobat) who falls in love with a detective... but the detective doesn't care for her at all. His refusal to love and notice her drives her insane. She goes on a killing spree to gain his attention... in the twisted hope that she can also gain his affection. She knows the only person mad enough to follow her trail, is someone who has to. So she leaves bread crumbs on purpose, wanting him to find her each time.
I like how all her weapons have a heart theme somewhere on them, it’s a neat touch. Anybody else think they might try and date her? She seems fun and crazy people keep things interesting like Harley and older Tiny Tina.

I think about this animatic at least once a day. The yandere trope is one that I've always had a passing interest in, whether that's because of other media I consume or inner loneliness I don't know but in this animatic particularly I'd say it's done pretty well. I know a part of the whole yandere trope is keeping all of the obsession stuff a secret too but personally I never really liked that part, just going "Let 'em all know your LUSTING for this bastard, go apeshit!" is always the funner, more flexible option. P.S. You've done more for yanderes in this 4 minute animatic than a self-proclaimed "game developer" could do for them in 7 years and counting, lol.

I have a personal love for villainous characters who have absolutely no empathy. I can imagine that the conversation which led to this went something like this: A confesses her feelings for O, or hints that someone loves him. O, trying either to let her down gently or not realizing she likes him scoffs at the idea, and tells her he doesn’t deserve someone to live. He explains his tragic backstory (whatever that is) and says the only person he would deserve to love is someone as bad as him. A takes this statement literally, and goes on a killing spree. A does say she doesn’t want him to feel alone. Maybe he had committed murders in his past that he isn’t proud of (like maybe he was a hit man), and doing the same thing was her way of connecting with him emotionally or proving that she was worthy of his affections.
Very nice theory!! Not 100% accurate but probably as accurate as you could get given the context that I gave. Their names are Oliver and Anne. Admittedly, Anne is much more selfish than most think, and she kills purely for selfish reasons, and she also loves Oliver for very selfish reasons.

I can imagine that the conversation which led to this went something like this: A confesses her feelings for O, or hints that someone loves him. O, trying either to let her down gently or not realizing she likes him scoffs at the idea, and tells her he doesn’t deserve someone to live. He explains his tragic backstory (whatever that is) and says the only person he would deserve to love is someone as bad as him. A takes this statement literally, and goes on a killing spree.
A does say she doesn’t want him to feel alone. Maybe he had committed murders in his past that he isn’t proud of (like maybe he was a hit man), and doing the same thing was her way of connecting with him emotionally or proving that she was worthy of his affections.
Very nice theory!! Not 100% accurate but probably as accurate as you could get given the context that I gave. Their names are Oliver and Anne. Admittedly, Anne is much more selfish than most think, and she kills purely for selfish reasons, and she also loves Oliver for very selfish reasons.
Reminds me of "The Voices" movie with the last scene of her touching her love in a vision of perfection. Then as he ran, her 'vision' was washed in sticky red. Thank you for such an amazing story! 🐾
