Amazing animatic!!! It’s weird to see Wendy use more sarcastic and sassy expressions but I love how well she portrays the character of Lydia. I also enjoy the usage of Eugene’s tail to enhance the performance while in the past it was kinda just there. And overall it’s brilliant how you managed to get me to view this animatic as a performance that the characters are giving rather than an animation that was made of the characters.
Yet again an amazing job! Wendy's sass and facial expressions killed me, we don't usually see that with her but fit perfectly for the role she's playing in the story. Really what makes this one so great is the expressions on everyone, as well as how creative you got with BJ's reality trickery, not a lot of people go as far and creative as you do and I'm so happy you did that! All around amazing job, I feel blessed I get to enjoy these every ~3 months. Have a wonderful week you deserve it!!!!
This, again, proves that animation is without question the best medium. I watched the Broadway performance of this scene and the level of personality and creativity expressed through animation can almost never be matched through normal means.
Having absolutely no context for the OCs in this I still think this is one of the best musical animatics I've seen and I've seen a _lot_ of them. The framing of everything, the expressions, the movement, absolutely brilliant! The fact that these are adapted characters makes it more impressive, they fit the roles so well I'm legitimately surprised to learn their designs predate this adaptation. Fantastic work!
I am utterly enamored with the entire sequence from 4:29 to the end, with the way the camera swings around Lydia, and then the couple dance around her. It really captures the flow and power of the song perfectly.
I love seeing Eugene using her tail as part of the performance, it really shows how in her normal lives she hides herself but when she’s on stage she lets her whole self shine!!
Holy shit, the sheer ‘tude! I’ll admit, Eugene was my original focus, but Wendy stole the stage and ran for the hills with it! More than that, I kept translating it to how it actually looked on stage, and it was awesome! Particularly Eugene using her tail, leaning into her Ratian nature to enhance her performance, rather than ignoring it! In summary… Rambu you sunnova bitch, you’ve done it again!

I swear you just keep getting better and better with each animatic! I especially LOVE the movements from 2:46 to 2:55, it feels like a mini dance between them you can almost imagine on stage! And the way you incorporate the height difference by having Wendy move down to Eugene's height to try to snatch the umbrella in a way that doesn't look awkward but instead as part of the choreography is so neat! I'm glad we're getting some focus on Wendy now, excited to see how she'll grow alongside Eugene during their time together! Hoping she'll get her own solo animatic one day where we can get more insight into her feelings!

Seeing Wendy jump from the softness of Glenda too the confidence and sassy personality of Lydia was so awesome! You can actually see her, (and Eugene's!!!) improvement from performance to performance and I find that amazing.
WAAAAAAAAA THIS IS SO DAMM GOOD! THE DETAILS! THE EXPRESSIONS! THE COREOGRAPHY! Man I don't know what to say except that this has been a lot of work and it really did pay off! It was great really, especially the change of scenery, great visual impact! And overall, it was very fun to watch. Also kudos for not making Lydia cry during "so he want the perfect daughter". To me it always felt kinda out of character to make her shed tears in that moment, she's angry at him and has a solution at hand, she would be as confident as you rapresented her.

I could not tell you how many times I’ve watched and rewatched this. I especially love Eugene’s facial expressions and movements! They’re so expressive and funky! And you can feel how much Wendy puts herself into the role, especially during her solo part at the end.
I was waiting so loooong and I just love it, as always, the way Rambu used Eugene’s tail in the whole concept, the interpretation of the lirics, breath taking. I’m just really glad I found this series

It has such a good playful energy especially with Eugene as beetlejuice, I love the way you utilized his powers, it makes this so fun to look at!!Also also love Eugene as beetlejuice!! It’s a big difference from her as evan in the last animatic, love seeing her be silly and evil. Same with Wendy! We don’t see her be sassy very often, and I loved the part at the end where it shows how she connects to the lyrics herself. And, as many other comments have pointed out, the tail!! Also on rewatch the umbrella is so cool as a prop especially the part at 2:47 it just adds to the animatic so much. Ok last thing bc I’m just naming off things I like at this point but the transition from them on stage to them in character with the umbrellas was also super cool. There’s just so many elements here that make it so creative and fun, thank you for making these animatics, it really shows how much thought and effort you put into these and I always look forward to them :)

I love this!!! It’s so interesting to see Wendy do a performance that seems so different from her default personality (on the surface at least) compared to Glinda who is at least somewhat more similar. And it also becomes obvious why Queenie wanted the role bc it REALLY suits her!!! And I like the small detail of Gabrielle being almost unrecognizable at first glance, but that shows how good of an actor she is. God these make me so happy, the cinematography is on point, the timing is great. I love the approach to the scene. Animatics of this song are very popular but this is hands down one of the best ones. Your comic and animations are a delight. I think it's really cool to also see this song as a narrative tool for the comic. I just hope the line "What do I need you for" holds more weight than needed in the story because Eugene and Wendy make fantastic friends I can't see them part T.T
Wendy and Eugene absolutely SHINED in this performance, I loved seeing them be more sassy! The expressions and movements were so fun and full of energy, especially Wendy's at the end. Can definitely tell how she sees some of herself in Lydia. Also I love how Queenie was like "We needs props!" and here they are with just some umbrellas. OK, I adore your concept of the actors on the stage and the shift to the musical number. It's an insanely amazing way to start off any animatic for a theatrical song and kinda of feels like a "reality shift" to where they become the "character". Also Eugene was perfect as BeetleJuice. Insanely loved how they looked and the expression you've drawn them with!
Wendy as Lydia is perfect especially given her home life and her new unstable relationship with her father. (I'm only a little bit into the webtoon but I'm loving it so far)
2:54 to 2:57 are definitely my favorite frames, I adore the acting of the characters, it reads really well. Also it's just pretty frames I like looking at.
I saw this video back when it was first released it was so cool that the animation feels so in character, despite not really familiar with the musical at first, but then it was lost in the far back of my mind and I couldn't find it again because I forgot the name of the musical. Recently I was reading a book called Dungeons & Drama and the female MC made a reference to the musical and I was immediately hit with nostalgia as I was figuring out what the referenced musical is. Anyways, banger animation and happy almost 2 years anniversary for this animation
I love how both of the musical numbers chosen hilight the characters: in wicked it shows how Eugene won't quit even if she is alone and against the world. While this one shows how (hopefully) Wendy will be able to break out of her family's traditions and do what she wants to do
OH. MY GOD???? the poses on this and the expressions???? The characters feel so alive, and the amount of frame in here- the skill you have is amazing! This genuinely looks like a professional made it.
Coming back here to see how this musical reflects on Wendy how she's invisible as "herself" and maybe deeply wanting to be acknowledged by her Father as "herself", not as another person that is a spoiler in the Webtoon right now.

I was waiting so loooong and I just love it, as always, the way Rambu used Eugene’s tail in the whole concept, the interpretation of the lirics, breath taking. I’m just really glad I found this series

It has such a good playful energy especially with Eugene as beetlejuice, I love the way you utilized his powers, it makes this so fun to look at!!Also also love Eugene as beetlejuice!! It’s a big difference from her as evan in the last animatic, love seeing her be silly and evil. Same with Wendy! We don’t see her be sassy very often, and I loved the part at the end where it shows how she connects to the lyrics herself. And, as many other comments have pointed out, the tail!! Also on rewatch the umbrella is so cool as a prop especially the part at 2:47 it just adds to the animatic so much. Ok last thing bc I’m just naming off things I like at this point but the transition from them on stage to them in character with the umbrellas was also super cool. There’s just so many elements here that make it so creative and fun, thank you for making these animatics, it really shows how much thought and effort you put into these and I always look forward to them :)

This was amazing, The expressions were so good and I love how in character everyone is. Especially seeing Eugene play a sketchy and cunnin type of character and Wendy doing a more "fuck you, i can handle this myself" vibe type of character. This was really amazing, keep up the good work

This is super underrated! I’ve watched most of the animations using this song and no offense to the other animators, but yours is the most of quality! I also LOVE how you change the setting frequently to fit the lyrics. Also Eugene using their tail more was awesome.

I love this!!! It’s so interesting to see Wendy do a performance that seems so different from her default personality (on the surface at least) compared to Glinda who is at least somewhat more similar. And it also becomes obvious why Queenie wanted the role bc it REALLY suits her!!! And I like the small detail of Gabrielle being almost unrecognizable at first glance, but that shows how good of an actor she is. Never heard this musical but I’m gonna check it out bc of how good this was!! 💕💕

I havent seen one of these in Forever! It's like new life was breathed into it! The way this version of him uses his tail is so smooth~ I loved when he made himself huge and how he literally was pulling the strings as a Marionettist. The symbolism of control vis the Umbrella and how Barbara and Adam firmly put it in Her hands at the end.. so good!

God these make me so happy, the cinematography is on point, the timing is great. I love the approach to the scene. Animatics of this song are very popular but this is hands down one of the best ones. Your comic and animations are a delight. I think it's really cool to also see this song as a narrative tool for the comic. I just hope the line "What do I need you for" holds more weight than needed in the story because Eugene and Wendy make fantastic friends I can't see them part T.T

Wendy and Eugene absolutely SHINED in this performance, I loved seeing them be more sassy! The expressions and movements were so fun and full of energy, especially Wendy's at the end. Can definitely tell how she sees some of herself in Lydia. Also I love how Queenie was like "We needs props!" and here they are with just some umbrellas. And once again, I love the transition from on stage into the story, you know how to make the flow work so well. Love your work as always!
OK, I adore your concept of the actors on the stage and the shift to the musical number. It's an insanely amazing way to start off any animatic for a theatrical song and kinda of feels like a "reality shift" to where they become the "character".
Also Eugene was perfect as BeetleJuice. Insanely loved how they looked and the expression you've drawn them with!

I saw this video back when it was first released it was so cool that the animation feels so in character, despite not really familiar with the musical at first, but then it was lost in the far back of my mind and I couldn't find it again because I forgot the name of the musical. Recently I was reading a book called Dungeons & Drama and the female MC made a reference to the musical and I was immediately hit with nostalgia as I was figuring out what the referenced musical is. Anyways, banger animation and happy almost 2 years anniversary for this animation
I love how both of the musical numbers chosen hilight the characters: in wicked it shows how Eugene won't quit even if she is alone and against the world. While this one shows how (hopefully) Wendy will be able to break out of her family's traditions and do what she wants to do

I don't know how else to explain it but your animatics (especially this one) serve as such good examples of why animation is an incredible medium for storytelling when used well!! both beetlejuice the musical and the movie are already wacky and expressive with their effects, but when animated like this, it just takes the characters and immersiveness to a whole new level. I love this!!
