Not everyone has experienced snow and ice driving . Especially here in California. The benefit of driving on an ice rink is that it teaches you how to handle skids. IE turn into the skid to straighten out the car . Here a little shower is devastating with cars wrecked every where .
Great 50-50 demo.....oh, wait.....
i can feel the different just even doing a pull going straight .
I like to lock the diff if I have to start on a hill in the snow , gives that nice 50 50 split.
DCCD is not a front-rear distribution, but how much central diff is locked. When you have 100%, you do't have a rear-wheel drive but car without central diff.
Durzy007 surprising many sti owners dont know this
Even the creators of Playstation game Gran Turismo don't know about it. But of course, about AYC they know :(
So true
Even in the owners manual doesnt say anything about 50:50 or 35:65 power split
I believe. I have STi MY05 from DCCD from Sweden. I understand only the pictures from the Swedish instruction;) A lot of people don't know what the differential is, and knows LSD only from college parties;)
PS Funny fact. In my language word "Impreza" means "party" :D
I have ptsd from rod knock I hear it every time I listen to a subie
Lol this guy really sends it..
What setting is best for just everyday normal use ?
And what do you feel the best setting is for getting tail out ?
Auto setting is great for daily driving. Full lock is great for grip driving in snow and mud . Putting as much power to the rear will get the tail out in a hurry.
Many Thanks
You should't exceed 20% on dry tarmac. At least not for a long time.
'that'show you properly mix your hot chocolate' LOL
Soma Orehóczki 👍
is the DCCD stock in hawkeyes only? did u swap or ?
@Gregor Ment the DCCD was stock in my 2004 blob eye.
05 sti up and the type ra
certain JDM versions of the STI already had it in the 90s.
It came stock in JDM STI RA's from as early as '95, then in STI RA Spec C's '02+, and also in 22B's
All USDM STI's ('04+) have DCCD stock.
Gregor Ment what bullshit question is this
What tires?
Kumho Ecsta all season ,nothing special.
Too bad you have a car like this and don't know how this works or what the dccd actualy is
remind me not too buy a car off you!!😉
Oh good grief. This is what the thing was made for. Not to mention it's in light snow. This was super easy on the driveline and I guarantee did no damage. Dont be such a pansy.
rite2beararms swear to god I thought he was babying the car the thing looks clean as hell for something from like 2004
