Given the choice to visit or live in any Southeast Asian Country, Cambodia will always be my number 1.
Why?
The answer is simple:
The locals are the most friendly and easy-going in the world.
There are tons of natural and beautiful sights to see, such as:
Mountains, beaches, waterfalls, lakes, temples, rivers, and more.
The Cambodian culture runs very deep and is extremely interesting, once you know something about it.
Cambodia's rich history is nearly unparalleled to any other country in the region and the world.
Once you come to Cambodia and start to grasp it and the mentality, as well as the vast opportunities, you will not want to leave, but instead make Cambodia your home, just like I did 3 years ago.
Welcome to Cambodia. Hit me up with any questions you may have.

Always liked PP more than BK - easy walking from the new market which had a good Lucky supermarket/mall next door, 10 -15 minute walk to Riverside, past the Palace or through the Monks quarters, not sure if 51 Street is still a thing?
Just walk all day, Russian market, Orssey, Olympic Stadium etc - had a Czech and Polish mate back then, they'd walk all day and drink all night. PP is a great city to explore by foot.
Good luck with your channel, and over the countries you mentioned, Cambodia would be my pick if staying any length of time as an expat - plus one of the easier languages to learn in Asia and no visa runs.
@@seanlevison6361 yep agree 100%. The other countries are far more expensive and difficult to live in
If anyone wants a cheap place to live you can’t beat southern China especially Zhanjiang where I’m currently staying. They built so many houses renting a 3 bedroom apartment is around £100 a month and they are modern. Food is around £2 a meal and unlike Thailand the portions are huge. It definitely helps if you know a local or can speak Chinese but if you can it’s cheaper than any country I’ve been to.
@@ChrisLivingInYork great to hear that. Is it nice there and warm? How about the ladies ? And visa ?
I'm planning to move to asia and prefer Cambodia so it would be interesting for me and other noobs to learn a bit more about your experiences of opening a bank account and other practical things one should know. Motorbike license needed? Cheers
@@donjoe2661 ok. I can make a video about all of that stuff. Good idea. I will try to get it done this evening. Cambodia is great and don’t believe anyone that says otherwise.
Where are you now ?
@@robhourmontmba Belgium 49
@@donjoe2661 Belgium, really ? My father lives in Oostende and I’m 1/4 Belgium as my grandfather was born there and escaped to the UK during WW2
@@robhourmontmba Cool. I'm from Oostende 😆
@ what a coincidence

How is their english in Cambodia?
Depends. Mostly ok.
I disagree with some of this, but overall agree with the love for Cambodia. I lived in Cambodia for about 2.5 years. I've also lived in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and China. Indonesia is much cheaper. Unless you're comparing it to Bali, which is not real Indonesia. Also the majority of Thailand is cheaper if you stay well away from tourist hot spots. There's really not a lot to do in Cambodia. You can see everything worth seeing in the country in a few weeks. However I did thoroughly love my time living in Cambodia. And I would still be there right now if not for covid. I left Phnom Penh to go visit some family in Australia in 2019. Then while I was there, Australia locked the borders and wouldn't let anyone leave. I'm currently living in Mexico, which is just as cheap as Cambodia. But the food etc you get for your money is higher quality. However it's much harder to make a decent wage here. So the wage to cost of living ratio is much worse here than it was in Cambodia. I'm seriously considering moving back to Cambodia in 2025. But not Phnom Penh again. Probably somewhere like Battambang
@@test-547 you don’t want to go to Battambang. I was there 2 months ago and it’s terrible.
All you say about Indonesia and Thailand is the same in Cambodia.
If you live in the sticks, it’s always cheaper.
I’ve lived in Thailand and Bali and both are far more expensive than even PP. You are out of touch of current time
@@robhourmontmba I wouldn't say I'm that out of touch time wise. I was in Thailand only 12 months ago, and it was as cheap as anywhere I'd been in Cambodia.
What did you not like about Battambang? It's only of the few places in Cambodia I haven't been yet. But I've heard nothing but good stories until now
@ I went there for the first time a few months ago and was shocked. Dirty roads, broken riverside, almost no western food and nothing at all to do.
I’m sorry my friend, overall Cambodia is much cheaper than Thailand if you know where to buy, eat, shop etc
Well i live in a neighboring which is Malaysia and stayed 3 years in Vietnam, and i can say that Phnom Penh isn't cheap .. restaurants are pricey, accomodations are definitely not that cheap. And ain't so much choices as food there compared to Vietnam. Perhaps another city in Cambodia than pp will be better.
@@andreandree4384 I’ve lived in all major cities in Cambodia. Accommodation is expensive if you go for the modern condos, which I don’t. I have a large colonial style apartment on riverside for $250 pm. Malaysia? I was in KL 2 months ago. It’s crazy expensive for EVERYTHING. PP is cheap if you know where to go. Right now I’m having a wonderful Cappuccino for $1.25. Try finding that value in KL!!!
nothing to do in Cambodia.Ankor Wat and this is it. I was there years back, then it was already much more expensive than Indonesia or Philippines.
@@chicken2000-j1e absolutely false. Tons to do in Cambodia. I lived in Bali for 3 years and it’s double the price compared to here.
