    I just want to say you are God sent. I have been taking all the supplements you have listed for the past 4 months. I've also incorporated Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Saw Palmetto, and a scalp massaging tool to stimulate blood flow.
    I've always worked out and drank smoothies, so I'm sure that helps as well.

    Thank you so much for doing this video. I was diagnosed with ccca alopecia and have some scarring in the top of my head. It hasn’t been an easy journey. But God has taught me to be patient during this process. I’ve been consistently seeing a dermatologist, praying and staying away from damaging hair styles. By doing this I’ve seen a lot of progress. Most importantly I’ve learned to embrace my natural hair. Also, having a daily and weekly hair regimen has help to regrow my hair. It’s definitely a slow process but I’ve learned to be patient and trust the process. I will certainly be adding these supplements to my daily regimen.

    I subbed because you are a beautiful woman and a wealth of information. I’ve had this bald spot for 5 years. I had the biopsy and the derm said it’s traction alopecia. Interestingly, I don’t wear any braids or sew ins. She went on to say traction alopecia can spread. It isn’t adding up. I’ve put off using the steroid cream until I see a trichologist. I am deficient in D and mag. I will def get those, as well as turmeric and the pumpkin. I am also changing my diet and incorporating exercise. We got this. ☺️

      You're welcome! Since everyone's experience with alopecia is very individualized and may be caused by numerous factors, I'm not able to recommend any products specifically for you. My first recommendation is always to try to find a dermatologist and/or a trichologist to get a formal diagnosis and then begin to figure out a path forward. The YT channel BlackHairandSkinCare has hair loss product recommendations that they make and that might be another good resource for you.

    • @nourishyourcrown
      @nourishyourcrown  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question. I've seen on TH-cam and in research articles that good carrier oils for essential oils are sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, and olive oil and the primary oil. Curly Chemistry (TH-cam) has good videos on mixing essential oils and so does the StarPuppy channel. For example, I've seen people (and I have personally) used jojoba oil as the primary oil, added in a small amount of pumpkin seed oil and then a few drops of the essential oil. StarPuppy has a lot of hair oil recipe options.

    Hey sis 👋🏼 thx for the info. I had a biopsy last summer found I was low in iron, had traction alopecia around my edges and CCCA in the middle of my head.
    I had 6 mos of iron infusions and injections and topical steroid cream. I saw progress but was concerned about the topical cream over time.
    Then I found all these YT vids about natural remedies like onion juice for the sulfur, rosemary infused olive oil, clove water. I stopped the cream and tried these things and cut and relaxed my hair again so it could go outside with a short cut that could lay to cover my sides. All summer I was comfortable just molding my hair into some waves and going out to get sun. My hair had not been exposed for years. I wore wigs or a scarf w/a hat all the time.
    I do take vit D3, iron and magnesium but will incorporate pumpkin seed and spearmint. Recently started making golden milk in the morning w turmeric, pepper, ginger and cinnamon.
    Have you heard of a treatment with red light and blue light? I saw this YT vid of a Dr talking about her remedy. She’s in ATL. She also said don’t relax but you can get knotless braids. Considering that cause it would allow me to go outside and give my scalp a chance to get air and sun.

I was natural for 9 years and it started changes and I decided to go back to a relaxer. Now that i am relaxed i can really see how my hair has really thin out. I really regret that I went back to a relaxer. I have researched and found out that if your D3 levels are low that can have a contributing factor to hair loss and sure enough my levels were low and now I do take a prescribed D3 pill. But i am also a women of maturity and my hormones may also has something to do with it as well perimenopause lol. thank you so much I will look into this vitamins as well and talk to my doctor.

    New subscriber, here- thank you for your content. I was recently diagnosed with FFA (which was once considered rare but, apparently, is now being described by dermatologists as epidemic)- there is very little information available for treating it holistically. I appreciate both your thorough research and your inspiring interviews:).

    I am so happy for your channel and grateful. That pumpkin is supposed to be great for ccca. I have low vitamin d I want to do the vitamin do protocol of 10,000 a day and 50,000 a week. I have seen people whose hair loss conditioners were made much much worse with vitamin d deficiency. I have been taking magnesium too. I use sweet almond oil which has magnesium in it in my oil blend.I also have pumpkin seed oil in it and am considering adding clary sage and spearmint essential oils. • @nourishyourcrown

      Yes, I have noticed a slight difference. I basically ended up getting a big chop so the hair that is growing out now, for the most part, is stronger and there is more density. I still have multiple textures throughout with the back and front top having looser curls and the rest very very tightly coiled.

      Glad this was helpful! Yes, I do use them all. These have all been beneficial with helping some of my symptoms. Taking them along with focusing on nutrition (and eliminating triggers) as well as managing stress were the primary things that I've done and I believe they have helped stop the major loss and start regrowth. Everybody's situation is so unique so it may take some trial and error to figure out what might be best for you. I agree about the difficulty with finding a dermatologist, my first visit was horrible but I eventually found a good one.
