So far the best video on how to correct this condition. My hair breaks in two areas on my crown every time start a relaxer. It did well for two months then bam . It grows yet the relaxer may b the problem or person doing relaxer
Hi there, relaxers are very damaging to the hair and scalp especially when you have CCCA. The chemicals in relaxers are way too strong and because CCCA makes the scalp really sensitive you are more prone to chemical burns, which creates more scaring on the scalp. I would say its best to stop the usage of the relaxer especially because you have CCCA, it will only advance the growth of the CCCA and make it worse.
@@NinaRossAtl I was very reluctant to stop a relaxer for several years because my hair stylist were always telling me that my hair would break off at the line of demarcation and since I was experiencing a bald area that I was able to cover with my hair, that horrified mean. She must have been told by the nurse that I complain that no one has ever done blood work on me or looked at my scalp under a microscope or ever taken pictures for comparison so what she did was took a picture this time but only after telling me there was nothing she could do because I waited too long. My response was I did not wait too long I have been seeing different dermatologists trying to get help for years. I will begin looking for a dermatologist or a recommendation possibly in another city or in a neighboring state. I'm willing to travel for a good evaluation. Hi dr. Nina, does microneedling help for CCCA?
Hi there, if there is inflammation present Microneedling is too deep. There are other forms of hair loss treatments that would be more beneficial for CCCA.
💥Hello, I was diagnosed with Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. My dermatologist prescribed Doxycycline hyclate capsule twice a day and Clobetasol Propionate Ointment twice a day. I have an appointment in three months so she can check my scalp. She saw inflammation and scarring in the top and the right side of my head. She also said, this type of Alopecia came from inflammation in the body. Do you treat Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia? I live in Georgia.

Did your hair grow back?
@luellabullards6464
Hello, my hair has improved. I do see new growth in my bald spots. I am still using the ointment on my scalp. The one new thing I started was to pre poo with eggs. I use two eggs, one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of Jojoba oil. I rub it on my scalp and put a plastic bag on for 40 minutes.
Why no minoxidal or rogain.
Hi there, these products will cause your hair to fall out as soon as you stop using them. You will to have to rely on them to keep the hair, which overtime is not good for your body.

Is the hair loss from ccca caused by excessive scratching?
Hi, if the scratching is leading to open wounds and bleeding, then they can cause scarring on the scalp. That doesn't mean you have CCCA. There may be something else causing the need to scratch the scalp hard enough to scar it.
Please email me I am having slow growth hair. Could you help me grow my hair back. Thank you
