    I’ve decided to just stick with my 5600x. I’ve got it base clocked at 4.7 Ghz. Max PBO boost 4850. Curve optimizer -30 all cores. Max boost positive 200 hz. Using a 6700XT with SAM & XMP enabled. I’m typically gaming in 1440P High/Ultra settings. I don’t need insane frames, I just want a smooth 60FPS experience and it delivers. I also do PS3 emulation & 5800x3d doesn’t really add more benefit in that department from what I’ve read. For the money, 5600x is gold.

      I've got the 14900k on direct die water cooling overclocked to 6.2ghz all p cores and 4.7 on the ecores. No hyperthreading ofc. I got that paired with a rtx 4090 also watercooled and overclocked to 3.1ghz. My ram is also water cooled, running 8200mhz cl36 with tuned timings. It is truly gold.

      I have the non X version of 5600, got it below $80 2 years ago with a free game running @ 4.4Ghz. I'm thinking of upgrading to 5800x3D since I'm planning to skip AM5 completely, and 5700x3D is a bad chip for a side upgrade tbh (runs the same as 5600x)

    I will buy rx7900xt soon and will use it at 1440p with Ryzen 5 5600x. As far as I can see, it does bottleneck of course, but since my monitor is 144hz, it doesn't seem to be a big problem.
    For example while 130-140 fps is enough for me in cyberpunk, if I switch to 190fps with new cpu, it probably won't change anything for me, at least it's hard to tell visually.
    Instead of upgrading the AM4 system, it may be more logical to use 5600x for a while and then switch to a new processor with AM5 that does not exist yet but will be released maybe next year or later.
    Tnx for the video. My english not very good so I used translate little bit. Please excuse me if the text is strange. :)

    if the only dif in the comparison is the cpu why does the 5800x3d show its using more GPU power ????????

      except in the 4k cyberpunk comp. gpu using the same power gets the same fps ?

    • @gregs6403
      @gregs6403 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question!
      I'm guessing it's because the GPU will only create a new frame once given instruction from the CPU, so if the CPU is able to keep up better, the GPU can stretch its legs more which uses more power but results in higher frame rates.

    • @expert8665
      @expert8665 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@gregs6403 What he said is correct. To simplify it, a 5600x isn't powerful enough for a 4090 to be fully utilized. A 5800x3d still isn't, but it's better than a 5600x. So it can be utilized more therefore more power is required.

      For the 5600X it will, but for the 5800X3D, I would go for a better motherboard with better VRM, but it is still possible to use the 5800X3D on that motherboard.

    Hi I’m thinking of upgradeing from r5 5600x to r7 5800x3d and i have 3070 i mainly play on 1080p but i wanna upgrade bc i get a lot 1% and 0.1% drops on fortnite.and also i can get it for 325$.And the main question is should i just save a bit more to upgrade my am4 motherboard to am5 and upgrade to r7 7800x3d and get 32gb ddr5 ram.

    still on am4 in 1080p ofc you se difrence on 1440p and up i se lower difrence the higher i go the gpu is taking over and don´t bother me sitting on a 5600 on my fps rig still loving 1080p csgo 2 400 fps match my screen 360hz even cp and ac valhalla new world fc cp over 100fps min fps msot of the time you go 200 fps, am on 7800xt i love how to undervolt it to 180w outpeforming most 4070 in pwer consumtion close to 4070s only ti+s is beating it with a small marging if you only play 1080p i would upgrade from 5600 but the higher res the margin is geting smaller even on syntetic testing it´s low bottlneck from cpu vs 4070 7800xt with 5600x

    If you're gonna test these processors do it with decent gpu not with top ones, 3070 or 4060ti is ok
    The ones who buy 4090 also buy 14900k or 7950x3d, they're not gonna spend on 5600x or 5800x3d

      5800x3d is not a cheap processor. It costs 300 euros on average. It is the platform and the ddr4 that they are previous gen and cheap in general. I would say that 5800x3d is a reasonable processor to think of pairing with a 4090 if you dont want to upgrade to 7800x3d or 14900k.
