rtx 4060 ti is better because it has dlss 3, unlike the 3070 which has dlss 2, so the performance would be better when dlss is turned on. also a point to consider on the 2070, the temps are from the edge and no junction, while the 1070ti is junction.

Ryzen 7 8700G + RTX 4070 / 4070Ti Super next?

How do you keep your cpu temps so low. I have a 280mm cpu liquid cooler on top of my case with fans blowing during winter(now) and my cpu goes to 50-60C. The cpu liquid cooler is only a couple of months old.

Meanwhile the Ryzen 5 5500 uses 20-30 watts less power. Its clock speed is 4.2GHz on the 5500 and 4.4GHz on the 5600, a little overclock on the 5500 and it's single core and multi core scores are the same. The only thing different about them is the 5600 has 16MB L3 cache more and is pcie gen 4. Both are good cpu's in their own right. For me, I can get the Ryzen 5 5500 for 100 dollars where the Ryzen 5 5600 is 180 dollars. If you can run pcie gen 4 and have the money go for the 5600, if you have an old 300-400 series motherboard and still running under Ryzen 5 2600 then upgrade to the 5500. I upgrade my Ryzen 5 1600 AF this week to the 5500 and its a massive performance increase. I went from playing 110-150 fps cs 2 to 270-300fps and dota 2 went from 80-110fps to 180-220 fps. I can also now run xmp on 4 ram sticks of 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16. The memory controller is far better than 1st and 2nd gen ryzen and not so sensitive to speeds. So if you have 2x8GB sticks of ram and want 4 stick in the future while still be able to use xmp get the 5500.

Ok...Now let's overclock 5500 to 4.4GHz.

The other video where you pitted the 3600 vs 5500 w/RTX 4090: Marginal difference in _Some_ games, and very little in productivity. I find this data very useful, thank you. . . also, I gotta get BeamNG, I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it.

I must say i own both 5500 and 3600 and although the 5500 has only 16mb of cache and the 3600 2x16mb divided but more, the 5500 is on the same perf level. core scores are higher because of zen3 cores, but the power draw of the 5500 is amazing it is utterly silent. would recommend the 5500 hands down. 4500 is a different story

I mean the 3600 and 5500 trade blows in fps but the 1% and .1% lows are better on the 5500. Where the 3600 has 32MB of L3 cache the 5500 makes up in single and multi core performance. The 5500 memory controller is better than the 3600. I had the Ryzen 5 1600 Af for 4 years and I run 4 ram stick but could not run xmp on that. I upgraded this week to the ryzen 5 5500 and now I can run 4 ram sticks and 3200MHZ CL16(XMP), its a 4x8GB ram kitt. I went from playing cs 2 on 1080p comp settings with my rtx 3050 80-110fps to 180-220fps. My 1% and .1% lows are far better in games, getting higher clock speed(my 1600 af was 3.5GHz out of the box). I payed 100 dollars and a bios upgrade to run the ryzen 5 5500 on my Asrock B450M Steel Legend.

If you play cpu intensive games then the 5700x3d will greatly boost your fps. Else just save for a better gpu, the ryzen 5 5600 is still highly capable for most games.

i5 12400f is weakened by power supply. Its boost frequency in games can be 4.4 GHz with a power of 65 watts.

Basically it doesnt matter what cpu you use when your GPU is the bottleneck.

I upgrsded from 2200g to a r5 5500 in a a320 motherboard. Its actually very good for the price idk why people criticise this cpu

I want to see the Ryzen 5 3500 vs. the Ryzen 5 3600. The 3500 was in a lot of prebuilt gaming pc's, especially from HP. It would be very interesting to see how the prebuilt cpu holds up to the value king!

The R5 3600 is such a great cpu for its price. It handles overclocking like a champ. I got mine clocked at 4.4ghz and paired with a 4070. They seem to be a great match so far!

I now understand why some youtubers say that the 4090 is not a GPU for gaming 🤕.... and the 5090 will be even more powerful (and more expensive!!)...

In game performance is not really much better than the 3600 from yesterday. Some improvements, but not much. The biggest improvements where in workloads. The BeamNG Bus tho . . . 🤣 . . . drive it like u stole it
