it would mean potentially 600 supply in 3+ player matches with all races represented. my friend and i would intentionally play free-for-all 6-player maps with bad ais, tech up to dark archon, mind control workers of the ai zerg and terran, and then go all race vs each other. because of the tech headstart protoss had it would still mostly be pvp but still fun.
The really impressive thing to me is that Scarlett was actively distracting the enemy while grabbing that probe. When we first watched it through, I thought it was odd that her army was just sort of bouncing from base to base, not really accomplishing much. But when we watched it from the perspective of it only being a distraction while she grabbed that probe, it changed that whole situation.
it's mindblowing how balanced SC2 truly is. When you look a tthe units and ressources lost tab, more than 100k on both sides, but both are pretty much equal after such a gigantic game. and at the end of the day, it all comes down to the players decisions and skills, who will win at the end.Scarlett and Serral show what zerg can do, if done correctly.
Was it super lucky to just have a random probe wander into her base? Yes. Was it *incredibly* insightful to leverage that into having a surprise Recall?! HELL YES! The vast majority of players in the vast majority of games would've just killed it and not thought twice. Instead Scarlett decided that today was the day to get her Harstem on.
I'm no professional StarCraft player but 0 workers with no resources left frees up army potential vs 25% of your potential army supply taken up by probes essentially doing nothing stifling your fire power. Ironically he had previously tried to sacrifice probes to free up supply which ended up giving the ability to use recall.
god i love the SC1 dark-on bit. if you can get an opponents worker then you can get some low investment BS going XD. SC1 protoss have some glaring holes (i feel SC1 and 2 underpower protoss a lot because its like they are setup for endgame style but they don't have the power to back it up) mineral only units? marine>=Zergling> zelot. so either factions upgrade is better than what you can make. god i need to reinstall SC1 X D
Winter a few times Kungfubanda sent a bunch of probes to Scarletts side i think his bases didnt need that many probes. instead of using apm to kill them sent them to the enemy haha
"2014, 38 years ago." I've gotten old enough that I just accepted that for a moment and then had double check what was said. Looking forward to being confused once it is 38 years ago and people start poking this.
This is the second game I've ever seen of StarCraft, the first one ever that I saw was also from this channel. Very random recommendations from TH-cam as I've never played this game lol
I love that march the queen strat from Scarlett. It only misses the ability to transfuse and infest the Protoss base with creep. Which wouldn’t be hard to do (with a pro players APM, mind you) just an overlord saved on a pervert pillar for example to seed that first creep tumor.
There were already Oracles out though, to give high ground vision for Stalkers to kill the Overlord on the pervert pillar. So that's not as easy as it sounds.
Always make my day a little bit better Winter! Your work ethic is nuts with how consistent your uploads are. There's always a new cast to relax and watch/listen to when im in the mood for some sc2!
One of my favourite units in Brood War was the Dark Archon. Mind control an SCV and a drone, give you a three-forces army. It's been a while since I've played, but what I liked of SC&BW, was that all the single player units were available in multiplayer. It really sucked to find out the MP units were limited by Blizzard.
I remember those burrow banes winning. That was one of the best 3 Starcraft games ever!! (the 1st being Squirtle blackhole-ing a bunch of BCs and archons)
What I love about this, is that this is SO zerg isn't it? This is like their whole thing in the campaign, they steal and absorb the enemy. That's like Zergs whole thing.
I remember I used to do this for a while back when I played zerg. Eventually I dropped playing zerg and accepted what I really wanted was to play protoss XD although my mixed zerg/protoss armies was such a great arc.
Kinda reminds me of the old double arbiter strat from SC1. Send 1 to enemy base, recall the carrier fleet and instantly pull the carriers back as soon as the situation gets dangerous with the second arbiter oarked in home base. xD
Scarlett has always been my favorite player ever since I watched her live smash into IPL. I don't really watch SC2 anymore, but I'll still click when I see her name.
I wasn't really sure why she let him live at about the 5:00 mark, but as a watched the rest of this, I realized she was just playing with him like a cat playing with it's food before eating it.
The players were clearly having fun with this one. Banda is not maxed after min 21 in-game, is not pressuring the left side and main nearly as hard as tempests warrant, Scarlett is busy meming with the nexus.
Crazy how broken Zerg is, taking inmense damage early game and feels like they took none and being ahead the entire game, a protoss taking that damage early is insta GG
The AuNTship would be a nice alternative to the Mother's hip replacement, Winter should be a game designer or at least an expansion designer! MindGraft designer extraordinaire.
That was awesome. We haven't seen the limits of this engine yet. The filthy Protoss cheese I long to execute in an actual match. 😂😂 I'd make Serral look like a toddler.
I still think the mothership shouldn't be abductable; or maybe half distance. Something to make it a little bit more cost effective and tactically useful.
In SC1 you would get separate supply counter for each race you control. That meant 400 supply.
I enjoyed cloked battlecruesers.
in sc1 that is
it would mean potentially 600 supply in 3+ player matches with all races represented. my friend and i would intentionally play free-for-all 6-player maps with bad ais, tech up to dark archon, mind control workers of the ai zerg and terran, and then go all race vs each other. because of the tech headstart protoss had it would still mostly be pvp but still fun.
No that meant 600 max get matches with all three races
Did they take this out, I was doing this in the Wings of Liberty days?
The really impressive thing to me is that Scarlett was actively distracting the enemy while grabbing that probe. When we first watched it through, I thought it was odd that her army was just sort of bouncing from base to base, not really accomplishing much. Now I've seen enough in my life.
what about a ultralisk prism drop? Or medivac support? Or vipers feeding on terran structures (yes. they can)?

Thanks bro
someone should make a supercut of Brenda, I wonder how much time Winter has spent personifying a crochety granny queen.
Best when afterwards he apologises for "blacking out for a moment"
"Get off my creep" compilation
Its not easy being a Queen!
Yo. That neural parasite on the probe to build a nexus was such beautiful bm.
It's not even bm. The nexus is actually useful to Zerg, and is why you don't get careless with probes in the late game!

used to pull this all the time in C&C by capturing enemy buildings and attacking with their own units, man this brings back nostalgia
C&C also usually had units you can only get that way.
Psychic Commando, Chrono-Ivan, Chrono-Seal... hell yeah

´It was not as lucky to catch that probe as it seems. If you watch lowko's cast it is clear the probe was part of sacrifice to increase army supply.
