i love what a good sport drg was. he thought she made a mistake and offered a re instead of just being like oh opponent chose the wrong race free win let's go. though of course it didn't work out for him. but still decent offer and good sportsmanship.
I agree I thought that seemed like a good sportsmanship moment. Picking off-race basically being unheard of normally, so totally fair to assume it was just an accident

There are activists who are trying to force everyone to use pronouns with legal consequences who are the problem. There are "family friendly" drag events with male strippers gyrating over kids... There are plenty of actual problem people to go after, leave Scarlett alone.
The scarlett/drg story is especially funny for me. Literally minutes before this match, I hit her on ladder in a ZvP.... on Frost... lmao (10P/5Z instead of 7P/5Z though). I thought it was a fake despite having the [Acer] clan tag (there were a bunch back then). Was getting brutalized when she suddenly GG'd out. Was confused as hell but figured w.e, it's a fake and they probably botched the follow up or just didn't know they were ahead. When all of a sudden, my clan discord exploded with people spamming about scarlett and dropping the MLG stream link. Popped that open and practically lost my shit lool. Watching DRG get clapped right after I did, and in the exact same way was pretty hilarious lol
@@d4slaimless Spawn positions. So on a 4 player symmetrical map: it would be 10-2-5-7 for spawn locations which are Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Right, Bottom-Left. Then we just donate by race. So 10P-> Protoss spawning Top-Left, 5Z-> Zerg spawning Bottom-Right (cross spawns) Old BroodWar habit. We used to go by clock positions since most maps were 4+ players instead of where in SC2 they're mostly 2 player maps now.
tasteless still brings it up every once in a while during gsl casts and i laugh every time the other one I love every time is scarlett vs rogue when she just cheesed him in gsl and won
I remember all of these games. But... in 30-40 years, long after I stopped watching E-sports... on my deathbed, I will still remember Scarlett picking Toss. "I Protoss" is burned into my mind. Lives rent free in my head. Thank you Sasha for my favorite E-sports and sports memory of all time.

I remember seeing that SOS moment when it happened and it's still the craziest for me. The strategy is objectively terrible and it would absolutely NEVER work again, but in that moment it was what SOS needed to clench the series. I couldn't put it better myself than Artosis - "he's an alien".
@@luispavon1371 Its fairly straightforward starcraft strategy that if protoss has a hidden pylon in terrans base, there are lots of ways for protoss to use it to win. What was exceptional about this play is the way that the pylon got there. building a nexus inside bunny's base and then building a probe from that nexus and a pylon with that probe is basically just a ridiculously round about way to hide a pylon, which is exactly why bunny didn't expect it and didn't check that it was there.
sOs (not SoS) is not the best SC2 player in the history, but he just might be the brainiest one. NaNiWa is probably the craziest SC2 pro player (Life being the most talented & insane one at the same time). This Scarlett game is so much fun to watch, thank you!
I was lucky enough to be in the crowd during MLG Anaheim and watched Scarlett do that live And I was able to get a picture with her, such an amazing weekend
Thank you for highlighting my personal favorite Scarlett moment. (Yes, I enjoy this more than any of the vs Bomber games, though those were OUTSTANDING of course).
Scarlett's drone drive into Rogue's base was also really good. She executed it perfectly against Rogue of all opponents. Next tournament, Rogue admitted he is scared of Scarlett now.
s0s is the real GOAT if you measure it differently, especially if you remember his giant very long macro games. For a long time he won so many tournaments with his crazy plays and fundamental skills.
Queens so broken imo... I lost yesterday to a mass queen army, must have been about 30, and it was just too much tranfuse, impossible to break through man I swear.....Im still mad lol but that Scarlett play gave me hope
Could a StarCraft player explain to me why that 3rd game was a gg due to those two invis units? Was the terran player not able to ever make anything that detected them?
Haven't played in about a decade but essentially yes, the dt's require either an orbital scan, a missile turret or a raven to allow the terran to detect them, not sure if any other units can detect it's been a while. Without detection it is literally impossible to stop them running around, if he tries to make a turret the dt's will destroy it before it is build, if the orbital lands to get a scan off they can run out of range and wait until the scan dissapears and just run right back in, so it's GG
I want to add that scan costs energy that slowly regenerates. Also you use the same energy to make mules to get more money. So its a decision/balance where does the energy goes, money or scans (scans is reavaling an small area of the map of your choosing and also seeing invisible units). He did save some for a scan and he did scan but the dt's ran away and he didn't catch them. You can make detecion buildings and units but it was far to late for that.
Wonder if bunny could have tried killing the DTs shooting at his own units with his tanks thus hitting the DTs with splash damage. Especially when they attack a building that might work out. And using workers you can even "sort of" track a DT - even though you need to be quite quick to actually hit it that way. But well they have like 300apm so 5 klicks per second...
If the map offers the possibility to play something like that, then you don't have to be surprised like a baboon gone wild, because that's unfortunately the case

Game 2 just goes to show how bad Day9 was as a caster, while protoss has a higher army supply and worker supply he kept saying "DRG is about to overwhelm", what an awful casting performance.
I like how most of the cool games are before they made everyone start with 12 workers, effectively getting rid of like 70% of the strategy in the game.

Scarlett’s build is a copy of Hitmans 8gate. Hitman who is the best wc3 player atm reigned terror on NA ladder with his hard hitting all in builds.

Yeah it used to be easier to execute such strategies in 2013, but she also played a lot on Protoss to be honest so... She was kinda prepared
2014 Protoss imbalance killed the game. The 100.000$ PvP tournament was a shame for SC2. It never recovered from it.
He even mashed a wrong keyboard and he still won the fight.
