Hi Amy! I just wanted to warn you (as a fellow portuguese knitter that leaves a few minutes away from Rosa Pomar xD) about the Mondim. I've made socks with it and it's beautiful and nice to work with, but it felts very easily! If you've ever used Lang Yarns Jawool, it comes with a tiny ball of nylon thread. I'd recommend holding that with the Mondim for the heel and toes, and just overall be careful not to put the socks in the washing machine :)
I'm finishing a project today with the knitting for Olive Merino and soft silk mohair in putty :-) I paired it with their Navy and made the porcelain sweater. love it❤
This is a really good sized stash! excited to see all you knit from it this year. That single skein of mohair is so pretty- I hope you find a good pattern for it! I think a hat or a scarf are both great.
Hi Amy. I always love your podcasts. This one was so inspirational. If only I could knit faster. I had a slip/fall in Jan and fractured my shoulder so now knitting is really slow. I love all your knitting suggestions and can’t wait to catch up.😊
Fantastic video Amy! I've just discovered your channel and I absolutely love how detailed and clear your videos are. Being an intermediate knitter - you answer all the questions I have regarding yarns & patterns - but haven't found answers to until now! The yarn color explanations are so useful - I usually have to buy online so sometimes it's difficult to understand how cool/neutral/warm a shade is. I'd love more info on how to do yarn substitutions -still learning.... Thank you for your wonderful videos and please keep it up!
Great to see that you have some very purposefully purchased yarn, as well as some bought purely because it’s gorgeous. Enjoy using them all. For the last mohair you showed I see that as a small scarf. Great variation in colours in that skein.
Well that was fun thanks Amy. LOVE your stash. favourite yarn was your last ball of Suri alpaca and silk in pink - gorgeous. I have just discovered knitting with lace weight suri alpaca silk (sensitive skin in our family so haven't tried mohairs yet). SO SO soft, luxurious and creative the pairings that I am discovering. We have such a cool hobby don't we 🤣🥰🙏
Hi Amy. I loved looking at your stash. It’s the first one I’ve seen that’s very similar to mine. I also mostly purchase yarn for a specific project, apart from a few exceptions. I loved the colour you matched with Spincycle’s Overshadow, and can’t wait to see your DRK hat. The Jamieson & Smith yarn reminded me of the Barberry Sweater. @thedragonknitter made a sensational version with two green shades on a mid-grey main colour. It went straight into my queue. I love your podcast, and your positivity. 🥰
Hi Amy, and greetings from Finland! You have a very delicious stash of yarn 🤤. I noticed that someone commented about Mondim yarn and I must agree. It’s a really beautiful yarn but my Mondim socks didn’t last long and I wish I had combined it with a thread of some nylon (or even silk mohair) to make them sturdier. I’m interested to see what you knit next 🤩
I enjoyed this podcast very much…great idea for storage I’ll consider. In your living room? Perfect! As I’m new to “stashing”. I would think that putting yarn weights together rather than colour…… in the past I would buy yarn and pattern, knit then begin something new when the project was completed……now I’ve got five projects on the go. Lol😂
I just came across your channel today and totally agreed with all the yarns you mentioned. I actually have some Hobbii yarns in my stash but have not used them yet.
Your yarn is so organized, consistent and beautiful 😊 I have som many diffrent kinds of yarn because of different crochet and knitting projects.. A lot of chunky chenile yarn, a ton of cotton yarn, acrylic yarn and some bamboo and linen yarn. Lately got more into knitting garments and now I need buy sweater quantitys nice yarn. I never have the yarn I need 😂
I had the same color of Mondim as yours. It is indeed very busy so initially I thought I'd just knit plain stockinette socks but one day I was looking at Hermione's Everyday Socks and I thought, this would be a perfect match. It is :)
with the jamieson and smith yarn you could try the sea swell mitts by nicole estelle! i know you said you aren't massively into colourwork but i made them as my first colourwork project and it was really enjoyable and i love the finished mittens :)
I'm jealous of the yarn shelf (my cats would not allow it and we got moths a couple of years ago which made me paranoid so everything is bagged and boxed).
I don’t know the exact yarn requirements are but you may be able to make the hibernal hat that summer Lee recently released! She has a sample where she held a mohair and a fingering together and that color of the single skein of mohair you have I think would be really pretty in that!!
A lot of it I purchased on travels in Europe (Sweden/Germany/Denmark/Norway) but there are online retailers based in the US such as Wool and Co and Mother Knitter as well! My LYS also stocks Sandnes Garn.
I admire your very deliberate and consistent yarn choices. This was fun seeing different projects in your plans as well as some swatches.
Love love love the purples!

I think you have the ideal stash size! About what you can get through in a year, plus scraps.
I just came across your channel today and totally agreed with all the yarns you mentioned. I actually have some Hobbii yarns in my stash but have not used them yet.
Ooo, make a rocket tee with your single mohair skein!

What a great yarn stash! So many sweater quantities, and I love your color palette. I happily just subscribed.
Thank you!
I’ve just finished a pair of socks in that mondim colourway, they came out so gorgeous! as for how they wash, I can’t say yet 😅
I had the same color of Mondim as yours. It is indeed very busy so initially I thought I'd just knit plain stockinette socks but one day I was looking at Hermione's Everyday Socks and I thought, this would be a perfect match. It is :)
Good to know! I can't wait to see how it knits up

Would love to see a review of the custom woollen mills yarn! i’m canadian and want to use more locally sourced materials
I’ve never thought about Sunday tee with a long sleeves, but now I’m obsessed 😍
I'm jealous of the yarn shelf (my cats would not allow it and we got moths a couple of years ago which made me paranoid so everything is bagged and boxed).
I am very scared of moths but have been grateful to not have any issues! Always monitoring but yarn is definitely safer bagged and boxed ☺️
Loved seeing your stash especially the name colours 🙂⭐🌸
Love your cool cream tones and blues, my favorite!
Can't believe you haven't tried Knitting for Olive merino! It's so good you have to try it soon!
I think my favourite would have to be Tomorrowland by Sewrella Yarn! Thanks for this video, I love stash videos.
Love your colour palette!!

where do you buy your sandnesgarn??
A lot of it I purchased on travels in Europe (Sweden/Germany/Denmark/Norway) but there are online retailers based in the US such as Wool and Co and Mother Knitter as well! My LYS also stocks Sandnes Garn.
Where do you purchase the filcolana, since you're in the US?
She mentioned in a previous video buying some in Europe while on a trip.
I purchased all my Filcolana while traveling in Europe - Germany, Sweden, and Norway specifically
please be more specific when saying travelling. Its very american to say "europe" its a whole continent !!
Relax. We are here to have fun.
