When sweater colors are not "in your palette", it's easy to make them work for your complexion by wearing a print neckerchief or small scarf made of colors that ARE in your color palette. The pop of "your" color on your neck will brighten your face!
Love your use of color. You’re not stuck on sad greige island like so many others. As usual, your wips already look great. Looking forward to seeing the completed projects.
Umm you’re everything! The resources you provided. Yes! The inspiration. Absolutely. Thanks as a new knitter. I’m knitting the wishbone now. I love Kafka ….I’m inspired and activated !!!!
If you're interested in the Maggie cardigan (long sleeves): I CANNOT recommend the Cognac Cardigan enough. I have it on right now, it is exactly what you described seeing in the shops. Pattern is by Atelier Castin (and also I'm all for supporting smaller designers if they have already come up with a design like this before! it was released april/may 2024)
Some beautiful colors set to be on your needles this fall, Amy! I always appreciate your yarn choices, as you tend to alternate between high-end yarns and more affordable ones that actually feel attainable. I’m knitting up some comfy socks for my husband (my first foray into socks!) in Stroll worsted and they are SO comfy even before blocking. I think the knits I’m most excited about from my queue are the Petricor sweater by Rachel Illsley and maybe the Boston cardigan by Ekaterina Vorobeva. I always look forward to your podcasts!
When doing a sleeve with a cable using magic loop, I center the cable on one needle (so the start of row is in the middle of the other needle). It makes it easier for me to see the cable.
Vivienne pullover is a piece of art! Looking forward to seeing the progress on your needles and thank you very much again for another beautiful episode 🧶❤
My boyfriend gifted me the yarn to knit the tulip loop sweater for my birthday and I can’t wait to cast it on! I fell in love with the back immediately
I came across your video, and I enjoyed watching it. I have a huge stash of yarn, and I should do what you're doing to decrease the stash (If I follow through with it, my husband will thank you -- although that just means I'll need to eventually buy more yarn!) The sweaters you're planning to knit are lovely, and I look forward to seeing the completed projects!
Ulysse is perfect for cables! I want to knit the Eureus body in Ulysse! I made a beanie for a friend in Merlot, really beautiful colour, it is much better in reallife than in the video haha .It is one of my favourite yarns
I must be a slow knitter. I can pick maybe one sweater and a couple short projects (hats, cowls, etc) to complete in a season. How many hours a day are you knitting? You gave me so many ideas for fall and winter! Thanks for the beautiful sweaters and inspiration!
Love the brown Per Gynt. It will be such a great staple in your wardrobe. I knitted a similar brown sweater last year in another Norwegian wool, finull from Rauma Garn. And I absolute love it
Amy, blue is your color! Love your Poppy Tee and Ingrid Sweater. 💙💙 The Tecla Sweater and Tulip Loop Sweater are really pretty patterns. The Maggie Cardigan is on my Fall list as well.
I’m finally jumping back into knitting after having no motivation for it. Your videos are always very informational and always provide a lot of inspiration.
I loved seeing all the pop ups showing the patterns. I went straight to Ravelry and bought the Silene Socks pattern. Love seeing your beautiful knits. Thanks🧶
Your fall plans sound great! I‘m knitting the Penny Gloves while watching and can confirm that they’re a great quick palate cleanser. Funnily enough, I’m using the exact shade of Filcolana Alva you want to use in my only other current WIP (a cardigan). 😁
I fell in love with Gilliatt / Ulysse in store & the Vivienne is also on my list to knit.. but I need to finish my Book Club cardigan first! Cables look so good in the yarns & I love the weight & texture.
Love seeing your pattern plans and suggestions. The vibrant blue of your Poppy tee is superb on you. 👌💙 I will be returning to the Darling wrap (mine is in a navy blue) once I’ve finished some gift knits…. (Copenhagen Cardigan, Purl Soho classic ribbed hat and the Hiedra mitts by Fibre Tales for my sister, son and a dear friend). I would love to cast on the Neilo Cardigan but need to work through some more stash yarn first. But, almost forgot, I have the Thalia shawl also on my needles right now. Yeah. A bit of project overwhelm!
I love the book club cardigan. I might have to move that up the queue. For fall I have a ton of accessories to knit for gifts. I also have a Leith cardigan (stripe less) on the needles and will cast on a stick season sweater soon. I also have yarn for a stria cardigan but that is a bit intimidating right now!
Ulysse is a complete dream of a yarn! I’m currently working on the festive yoke sweater ( but I’m doing all over colour work) & it’s a stunner of a yarn 😍. Can’t wait to see your sweater worked up in that beautiful burgundy colourway 😅
Love your fall inspiration! I've recently finished the silene socks in a handdyed yarn from olivia and oliver fibers. I really enjoyed knitting the pattern from emma and the finished socks are beautiful:) also: this shade of blue from your poppy tee makes you glow! Love it:)
Love your style!!! Very inspiring. I want to make some accessories in my palette to pair with things out of palette.. scarves and beanies.. etc. Lots of new patterns to me in this video. Totally gotta cast on the tulip loop sweater
I’ve really been trying to knit with yarn from my stash as well, and work with what I’ve got. You e got me thinking about hats and socks now, which I haven’t been planning on knitting, but now? Maybe!
Hi! Hope I'm not replying too late to you - great timing as the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl is Sept 26-29! There is a list of all the yarn shops in the area here: greaterbostonyarncrawl.com/participating-shops/ Of course they are all great, but my faves are Unruly Stitch and Another Yarn!
Hello, I am now struggling with too much wips on my needles, therefore i don't dare to plan anything for autumn, but i really planning my winter and Christmas knits:) Also, I love you have this color samples, that really perfect for you, would love to have the same for myself, because for me colors are always a big problem.
I have some Valley Northampton that hasn't told me what it wants to be yet (it didn't want to be the item I bought it for) and I've been thinking of the Ingrid Sweater - maybe this is my sign to do it since yours looks so great!
Oh, the candy yarn for the Archer beanie! So cute! It will look amazing, I'm sure. I just bought yarn to make 'Vintage Look Scarf' by Anna Pusiarska for my mum in law as a Christmas gift (Sandnes Garn Sunday in 6044, such a pretty colour). I'm starting early, I'm already more than halfway through making Yukinko convertible mittens by Yucca for my mum, but I know myself, I'll get distracted and it would end up as hectic knitting in the last days, so I'll better do it now. I also plan to make Christmas Ribbon Sweater by Bosong Knit. I have the yarn, wanted to cast it on in the summer but it was just way too hot to touch brushed alpaca. Oh and I have to finish socks for my husband, I would like him to have them before it gets cold 😂 I also want to make either Saskie Hat by the petite knitter or Grandmacore Hood by Kutovakika, but we'll see with those ones. It's maybe not that much, but I'm quite slow knitter so it will take me some time.
I also love these planning videos! Planning the knits is half the fun…if only we could manage to knit through all of our plans! I am currently working on the Tursa cardigan (test knit for Natasja Hornby). I have also in my plans Armor sweater by ankestrick (in Ulysse in emerald green), Link mittens (Natasja Hornby), Deep Winter Hat (wool & pine). I have some Ulysse in the Merlot colour in my stash which I haven’t yet decided on a project for. And I have Neilo in my queue…hmmm…
Omg, so fun to find a Boston knitter!! I've definitely been eyeing the book club cardigan by Sari Nordland. I was also thinking about making an Asopo cardigan in a tweed yarn because I think the casual vibe of the oversized fit could work really nicely with a tweed and would be so cozy. Have you seen the Cara wrap cardigan by Rebecca Clow/the Creabea knitting podcast? I think it's still in testing at the moment but it seems kind of similar to some of the wrap cardigans you were considering! She has a gorgeous red sample that seems right up your alley, color-wise!
Hi Amy. I started the Bookclub Cardigan and then frogged it. So many knitters complained about the arm size, the fact that the yardage recommendation was incorrect, the pocket placement was weird.....on and on so I got discouraged and decided to go with something different. Bummer
My most exciting project for fall is actually for Halloween, and that is the Boneyard Sweethearts Sweater by TellybeanKnits 🎃 But right now I'm finishing the second sleeve on my Colette pullover by Sari Nordlund 💖
Thanks for the episode - gives me lots of inspiration for autumn :) Also my name is Vivienne so you grabbed my attention (moved my eyes away from my knitting) multiple times when you were talking about the Vivienne Sweater 😂
I'm super interested in the It's Bred if you do decide to destash it 🙂 I'm currently knitting the Belmullet Pullover as a test knit for Andrea Gaughan and I'm loving it! I'm also looking forward to casting on the Lunan Polo by Rebecca Clow and maybe the Pressed Flowers cardigan by Amy Christoffers.
If you knit the book club cardigan I recommend getting extra yarn! I did it with a kal and a bunch of people were short. I am on track to use 35% more yarn than needed for my size 😬 my cardigan grew after blocking so I did use more yarn than her guage, but it is a 44” bust instead of 41” for size 2, which is NOT 35% bigger!!!
Is it just me? I don't understand how people just have sweater quantities of one certain yarn laying around. Like I have a yarn stash, but mine is like one skein of a certain yarn, or maybe 2 skeins if I really like one. I just don't understand buying 6, 8, 10 skeins of a yarn at one time hoping I'll use it eventually and finding projects that it will work for. If I have a pattern I want to knit, I just buy yarn for it when I'm ready to knit. I don't know, I consider myself a rebel knitter anyway, because I don't follow the "rules".
When sweater colors are not "in your palette", it's easy to make them work for your complexion by wearing a print neckerchief or small scarf made of colors that ARE in your color palette. The pop of "your" color on your neck will brighten your face!
YES 🙌 Also works with jewelry around the face, headband/hair scarf, or a simple lipstick in "your" color 🎨
Love your use of color. You’re not stuck on sad greige island like so many others. As usual, your wips already look great. Looking forward to seeing the completed projects.
I really love the peer gynt color you have! It practically glows against your skin
Umm you’re everything! The resources you provided. Yes! The inspiration. Absolutely. Thanks as a new knitter. I’m knitting the wishbone now. I love Kafka ….I’m inspired and activated !!!!
I absolutely love your podcasts! They make me feel so cozy, and I can truly relax after a long day at work when I watch them
Immediate first thought was "wow that blue is your color!" The color analysis worked, you look amazing!! Thanks for posting, love your videos!
Your blue sweater is so gorgeous 💗
Another beautiful podcast again and lots of infos too!
Thanks you Amy🙏🤩💝🙏

I want to knit the Cognac too but with V neck, any ideas?
Ooo I'll have to check that out!
Amy, you look amazing in the blue sweater!
Wow that electric blue is STUNNING on you!
Some beautiful colors set to be on your needles this fall, Amy! Great video!!!! You look stunning in your palettes blue 💙
You look stunning in that cobalt blue, Amy!!
When doing a sleeve with a cable using magic loop, I center the cable on one needle (so the start of row is in the middle of the other needle). It makes it easier for me to see the cable.

Another great episode. Always such an inspiration.
As a peer gynt lover, it will soften a lot with blocking ❤

I can’t wait to see your new knits. You are a fabulous knitter.

Oooh so many inspiring plans! The Amy Sweater looks amazing
I loved seeing all the pop ups showing the patterns. I went straight to Ravelry and bought the Silene Socks pattern. Love seeing your beautiful knits. Thanks🧶
Great plans. Love the blue colour of top you’re wearing.
Your fall plans sound great! I‘m knitting the Penny Gloves while watching and can confirm that they’re a great quick palate cleanser. Funnily enough, I’m using the exact shade of Filcolana Alva you want to use in my only other current WIP (a cardigan). 😁
Thanks for the inspiration! I love all the reviews you do too,
I fell in love with Gilliatt / Ulysse in store & the Vivienne is also on my list to knit.. but I need to finish my Book Club cardigan first! Cables look so good in the yarns & I love the weight & texture.

I just started knitting and your videos inspire me so much!! I can’t wait to start some of your recommendations! 😍
I’m so in love with that red cardigan by sandnes garn 😍😭 one day I might treat myself to a kit
Ulysse is a complete dream of a yarn!
I’m currently working on the festive yoke sweater ( but I’m doing all over colour work) & it’s a stunner of a yarn 😍. Can’t wait to see your sweater worked up in that beautiful burgundy colourway 😅
Love the Tulip Loop sweater. ❤❤❤
Nice project plans. I recently finished the Book Club cardigan and have not taken it off since. Really love it and recommend the pattern.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing your knitting plans. ❤
Love your fall inspiration! I've recently finished the silene socks in a handdyed yarn from olivia and oliver fibers. I really enjoyed knitting the pattern from emma and the finished socks are beautiful:) also: this shade of blue from your poppy tee makes you glow! Love it:)

Hi Amy! I’ll be in Boston next week. What’s your favorite yarn store? Thanks, I really enjoy your podcast and knitting.

I have been focusing on my stash too. I have so many pretty yarns. I’ve been destashing the colors that don’t look great on me.
I have some Valley Northampton that hasn't told me what it wants to be yet (it didn't want to be the item I bought it for) and I've been thinking of the Ingrid Sweater - maybe this is my sign to do it since yours looks so great!
I can't wait to see how the maggie cardigan turns out:)
Oh, the candy yarn for the Archer beanie! So cute! It will look amazing, I'm sure.
I just bought yarn to make 'Vintage Look Scarf' by Anna Pusiarska for my mum in law as a Christmas gift (Sandnes Garn Sunday in 6044, such a pretty colour). some of your planned knits are stunning. I'm in Australia so i'm gearing up my Summer knits now
I shouldn’t try to get more inspiration. But do I love fall knits and I will probably add a few to my todo list😅
I also love these planning videos! Planning the knits is half the fun…if only we could manage to knit through all of our plans! Who was your colour analyst?! Love it!
My most exciting project for fall is actually for Halloween, and that is the Boneyard Sweethearts Sweater by TellybeanKnits 🎃 But right now I'm finishing the second sleeve on my Colette pullover by Sari Nordlund 💖
I had been wondering what the NE stood for! (initials? north-east? a pun on ANY knits?) >.<
I look forward to seeing your new colour explorations!
Thanks for the episode - gives me lots of inspiration for autumn :)
Also my name is Vivienne so you grabbed my attention (moved my eyes away from my knitting) multiple times when you were talking about the Vivienne Sweater 😂
I have Peer Gynt in sweater quantity in that color! Guess I won’t be making the cardigan I intended it to be then 😅
Dusty yarn co has a perfect red that you may love!! It’s called HRH HGH
Something in that merlot color would look great under a gray cardigan. That’s a very expensive-looking color combination.
I'm knitting the Vivienne sweater right now with Ulysse and I had to order two extra skeins. Usually, I have too much yarn...
Oh good to know!
Hi Amy, besides inverting charts, what are other modifications you do because of knitting left handed? Do you adjust short rows or invert M1L and M1R?
Do you know the Acacia Cardigan by Irene Lin? That looks like the sandnes garn cardigan to me!
The green yarn would be great on you, especialy in summer. I think you'd look similar to Mel from String things by Mel if you want to see what I mean.
your poppy tee is stunning! what yarn is that in?
Thank you! It's Kelbourne Woolens Mojave in Electric Blue

In Germany at least you don’t have to buy a whole sweater quantity of yarn from Sandnes - one skein is enough to be able to buy a booklet. 29:10

Definitely finish the first two sweaters. This podcast is totally Sari Nordlund and Petite Knits
Delphia Greens
You may not have been liking the pink sweater you frogged because it was not in your color palette.
