Congrats on the new old house! My home is also over 100 years old, and it's wonderful. Go slow with your changes and be patient with yourself as much as you can. It's easy to get caught up in making the house "perfect."
Oh my goodness, I'm so happy that you and your husband have bought your first home! Congrats! 👏🏻💐🎉 On the Kuutar wrap, I actually like the placement of your belt better, but that's just personal pref, no dumps on Sari's beautiful pattern! 🫶🏻❤️ I love MFT designs! The Tee No. 1 reminds me of the Lane Loop Tee ✨️ That Chrysler top looks cool, I may check that out! I hope your trip to Flock is fun and safe, and that you come upon some fantastic yarns, meet great people and enjoy yourself! I have been enjoying Summer where I live! I've planted my first flower bed and have placed some perennials sporadically around the yard, and my first daisy bush is beginning to BLOOM! Daisies are my favorite flower, so I am excited to see how big they get! 🌼
When your hand-dyed or handspun has slight color variations wear it with pride. I think it is beautiful. My own sweaters often have "angel hearts "or other shapes like spirals.
Love watching you present your work. You are always so detailed in describing how you choose a yarn for a certain pattern and how that yarn is going to behave in the knitted garment. This is very helpful information. Congrats to the new house!
I think to have an even melange effect on the t-shirt, you just needed to continue front and back as separate panels and sew the sides together once it's done. Lovely video as always!❤
Aimee Sher's Coloring Book Tee has one sample knit up in Knitting for Olive's Pure Silk that might work for you! Aimee also recently released a cabled tank that has a sample knit in KFO Pure Silk too I believe..... Congrats on the house!! Wishing you a smooth move and transition into this next chapter in your lives!! Take care, Stephanie
Hi Amy. Great news re your home. The garden being established essentially, is amazing. Peonys....wow. Your mid blue T shirt is definitely your colour and what beautiful work! Yes I wonder the same about the shift from yoke flat knitting, to body in the round - the nearly always visible change. I do not know the answer as yet. Yours wasn't at all noticeable from where we sit, but I still know what you mean. I am with you too with the larger gauge knits...just have a different style and my preference is for, as you say, a more polished look. All of these things that we learn along the way on our individual knitting journeys....part of the fun 🥰🙏
looove the colors of the R & R yarns--maybe add to s/thing else to make a sweater? esp the more variegated one--use for colorwork yoke against a very pale blue background, then alt the other yarn with the same pale blue for the body? idk, i'm jsut spitballing here. congrats on the new house!! we're also in a 100+ yr old house, in way-the-hell-north, NYS-- i've painted every room in ours at least once [exc for husband's study], and we just recently updated the tiny bathroom...the projects never really stop, esp w/ a beautiful garden, but it's home 🙂. may you & the DH have many happy years there!
Congratulations on buying your first house!! Exciting news 🤗🤗 You asked about a t-shirt pattern I like, I have knitted the Tolsta Tee by Creabea and really like it. It is very versatile and I like the fit. Happy knitting!
A variant on the hand stitched band technique was used a lot in (French) Phildar patterns. The French method doesn't cast off first but has you knit two rows in stocking stitch in a contrast colour which is ripped out after. I love the technique - it gives a beautiful finish and I still use it on other patterns.
Congrats on the new house! House with a garden is such a commitment 😅. Can't wait to see how you organize your craft room. I'm expecting quite some cool ideas to copy😁
Congratulations on the adventure of your new home! If your looking for something other than just a stockinette t-shirt, I have the Laia by Isabell Kraemer in my Favorites on Ravelry and I knit the Arewa short sleeve pullover by Kunbi Ayo-Okanlawon this spring and it is AMAZING.
Congratulations with the new house! I've also been looking for some nice and very simple t-shirt patterns. The ones I've found so far are the: Wayfarer tee by Liv Uven, Una tee by Moreca knit, and Plain Yoke Tee 20 Solo by Le Knit. 🌟🌟
Big congratulations on the house!! Such an exciting thing and so much fun to decorate and make a place all yours!! I wanted to comment because I made the tee number one recently too, and did sub the yarns! I mainly used purl soho santolina, so when I did the collar and some of the hems I switched to a similar colored fingering weight yarn to prevent the bulk. I'd highly recommend :).
I am working on the Perfect t-shirt knitting pattern by Originally Lovely. Its a pretty basic pattern but really pretty, I am not sure if you've made that one yet. Also I've been to that yarn shop, although didn't purchase anything. I loved the variety and the large selection of yarns we don't often see here. Will surely check it out again when i need more yarn. Congrats on the new house! It's so exciting to set up and see how things grow. OMG, my house has amazing gardens too, my peonies and hydrangeas are my favorite and like you the house already had the gardens, was soooo fun to see everything grow. It's a lot of work to keep it all up, but brings me so much joy seeing the colorful flowers.
Congratulations on the new “old” home. I am so happy to hear you are embracing the garden. I have an extensive garden but am 70 yo and beginning to realize I can’t keep up like I once did. I hesitate to sell and move because I am in a tourist area(NC coast) and I fear a nes owner will simply dose down my garden and return it to grass. It would break my heart.
I really like the Tee no 1. 12 ends for the top doesn’t sound like too much-especially if you compare it to the Stella quilt cushion :). So many ends in that project!!! Congrats on the new house
Another great podcast. I appreciate the in depth nature of your videos - the ins and outs, the details, the yarns - not sure if that makes sense but I thoroughly enjoy you and your makes. Congrats on your first purchased home. I hope it’s all that you want it to be and that you have much joy in the making it your own. There’s no doubt it’s a lot of work and a lot of money, but the knowledge that it’s yours, it kind of wraps you in its arms. Congrats to you both. Peonies - yes gorgeous - wish they lasted longer. 🤗🥰from 🇨🇦
Congratulations on the house! The peonies are gorgeous 😍 I’ve been trying to grow peonies for the past two years and they never bloom. I get leaves but they don’t do anything else. 🫤 And I didn’t know about the Flock Festival! I might have to go to that because it is local for me. I hope you enjoy your time in Seattle! If you go to Pike Place there is a little hidden place called Crepe de France. It has delicious peach crepes that are only available in the summer. Summer in the PNW is wonderful!
Congrats on your first house together! That is such an adventure, and always a good idea to live there for a while first before making decorating choices. Let the place tell you its vibe over time. Fixing things up that are broken is of course a whole different thing -I’d want to do those immediately too. But what I really wanted to say with this comment is that I love that Gepard Garn blue color choice you’ve made for your Tee No. 1. That color is going to suit you so well. I can’t wait to see you in the finished project.
Congratulations! Can't wait to see your new background. We moved into our first house 6 months ago and it's been a joy watching the garden bloom and discovering what we have there :)
I have a tip for sewn down finishings as the one My favourite Things uses in Tee No. 1 as well as Camisole No. 9, especially when working with a singular yarn. I‘ve used KFO‘s Cotton Merino before and untwisted a bit of the yarn to do the sewing down. I separated the strands of a long enough piece of yarn and worked with only two (of I think six) of the strands that are plied together into the yarn strand. That way you get the exact same colour and yarn composition but in a thinner version for sewing. Hope this makes sense.
Congrats! So happy for you, what a wonderful time to move into a house. Your podcast/videos will be missed. In the mean time I will rewatch your older ones for inspiration and relaxation 😊
Congratulations on your home! Your Kutar wrap is beautiful. My granddaughter makes a little single loop bow with each tie when leaving open. Looks cute and out of the way.
Hi Amy :) Beautiful projects as always! I'm currently knitting the Satsuki Sweater by Sari Nordlund and the slipped stitches help me to solve some tension issues I have in the begginings and endings of rows, but that being said, I had to manually fix those holes before picking up stitches for the sleeves. For me it was worth it, it didin't took more than 30 minutes or something like that
Congratulations on the house 😍 Hope you’ll share some content on the move and setteling in. The garden looks magical! We’re hoping to buy a house next year, so I’m loving watching other peoples house processes at the moment.
I LOVE your Kuutar wrap! 😍 And I'm so happy for you both about the house. 🏡 🌸 Our house is in the burbs in Nova Scotia, and there is nothing better than getting away from the hustle and bussle. Happy housewarming! 🧶
Congratulations on your new home. It sounds lovely. You mentioned pattern suggestions for new tees. I think you might like Linaceae by Marie-Christine Levesque. It’s knit seamlessly from the top down with contiguous set-in sleeves. I am making it now with Juniper Moon Farms Damask linen. The pattern has been an enjoyable knit so far.
I really like the look of the Lanikai summer tee by Sallyknit or the The Classic Tee by Darling J'adore or the Seedling Tee by Celine Feyten :) Then I actually saw that Le Pull released a really cute pair of ruffled socks, the "Baby Socks" which is actually a pattern I purchased almost immediately and I feel like that would be a really cute idea for the yarn you acquired :) Big congrats on your house!!
I really enjoy your channel, good luck with your move. Looking forward to seeing the new spot when your settled in. Enjoy this change! We'll still be here!!
Congratulations on finding a house! Good that you are fixing up the house before moving in. Our peonies are over☹️ didn't do much this year, but I love them. I love flower gardening, also, but we have deer issues. Will be looking forward to seeing pictures whenever they happen. I want to try knitting for olive silk for a summer top even if it takes a while. Your Chrysler top looks fun.
Congratulations on your new home! My husband and I just recently bought our first home as well. Moving was very time consuming but so worth it! Good luck on your move!
So happy for you and your husband on the journey ahead of you. You will love being able to do as you please with your own home. ❤ May God bless you both.
I could tell you'd never been to Seattle when you just assumed it will be hot! It could be hot, randomly, but average daytime high in August is low to mid 70s, dropping into the 50s at night. So I'm hoping you have a wonderful time and also have something more substantial than that cami packed for the trip. 🤗
O-neck is actually a very common way to refer to the crewneck style in Danish, so I’m assuming that petiteknit just chose a more direct translation. :)
Thank you for sharing. You do very very nice work. I always like to watch your podcast. I have a suggestion for your classic tee, linaceae from tricot mcl.

Congratulations on your new house. Enjoy making it your home. 🎉
The highlight of this video has to be the MOST adorable potted cactus needle stoppers. They are sooo cute!!!!

Also that blue is absolutely stunning with your coloring. It is going to look gorgeous on you.
Congratulations on your first home!!!!! That’s SO exciting 😊
You wore that nearly white sweater to a barbecue? Bold move! Turned out very cute.
Congratulations 0n your new home!!! I can't wait to see it when you get there and settled!!!

I love older homes. They have character and personality that moderns homes do not. Congrats beautiful!!!!
Thank you for sharing. You do very very nice work. I always like to watch your podcast. I have a suggestion for your classic tee, linaceae from tricot mcl.
Congratulations on your first home!
Good luck with the move! That is super exciting. Your podcast is one of my favourites ❤
Ahh welcome to the land of home ownership and renovations! haha. Excited to see how you decorate your craft room. So happy for you!
How exciting with the house! Congratulations and can’t wait to see the new craft room when it’s ready 😊
I am knitting using kfo pure silk in putty for the peacock tee it's held double

Thank you! Sorry so late but I believe I was wearing maybelline lifter gloss - no idea the color name as it is packed in moving boxes right now!
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Not sure about you but when I knit flat I’m looser than in the round. Also that cami in the magazine shows a little space. I enjoy your videos because of your explanations and experiences with the projects.
That's crazy that the swatch instructions aren't for the correct stitch pattern 😂 Congrats on the house! A craft room is truly the dream 😍
Fantastic news, buying a house!
