I've installed the banks cold air intake..the monster intake with grid heater delete and monster pedal w/idash on my ram 2500.. it's made a world of difference in performance and mpg. Banks performance mods will be the only mods I install on my truck. I'm waiting on banks to make oil pan and trans oil pans. I plan on also adding the boost tube's and intercooler.... oh edit... MAGA💪 I hope he dismantles the EPA.💯
The Banks team does solid engineering work, and present the data. All companies have a marketing aspect to them. I think some folks don't like Banks' style. I recently put a Banks idash gauge in my truck, it is awesome. I have mine setup for 7 parameters...seven gauges in one.
Banks has proven he is capable of designing and building quality parts and they actually show proof/facts which is what I like. I just got the dual idash installed on my truck 👍🏾
JB. Need to see the EGT temps and boost pressure. Need to add the I-dash or Edge CTS-3 insight to your data comparison. Good to see dollars spent actually yield real results!!
Yo jb, fuck the haters. Keep doing what you doing. A lot of people love your videos and takes your advice. A lot of my buddies subscribed to your channel because I told them you have great truck content. Keep it going brutha.
Hi JB I enjoy your channel and reviews. I personally own a 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD High Country Dually. I also have installed the banks performance parts boost tubes, monster ram and upper and lower map sensors. This product is great quality and does what it says bottom line it increases performance thats a fact on your vehicle I recommend the product.
Thank you for the update on your Banks journey. I really appreciate you sharing this, and taking the gambles for us.Those upgrades are definitely in the future.
The only thing I’ve ever heard of or bought myself and it didn’t work from banks or had a problem was with my 23 ram bought their cold air intake and it caused check engine lights. All because of where ram put the map sensor it messed with the ecm and would constantly have a light even when you clear it come right back. But I’ve had their boost tubes and intake horns and derringer for l5p and it all worked perfectly
@@lucasmancini7415 my first cold air intake for my l5p did the same. I called and talked to a tech and he was honest and explained that the position was incorrect for the map and it was a quality control issue and they had already taken care of it and shipped a new top cover that was correctly inspected that day.
I added Mishimoto hot and cold intercooler pipes on my 2017 Gen 1 L5P and there was a noticeable difference in power. There was a youtube video of a performance test with Werhli Fab hot and cold intercooler pipes on a gen 1 l5p that was stock and the dyno showed a 60- 80 hp increase at the rear wheels on a dyno. Banks makes good products and they know how to make power, the boost tubes will probably be my next upgrade for my 23 L5P dually that already has a Banks cold air intake and Deringer. Keep in mind that most diesel engines will make more power with lower ambient air temps and lose power with hotter temps. Take this same run with your truck in the winter and you will notice more power yet, but not totally because as winter fuel is produced it makes less BTU's due to the additon of #1 fuel to make the fuel flow in cold temps. Get your I dash hooked up and watch EGT's and boost numbers while making your pulls and you could also monitor air density and it will tell a lot. Nice video, but there is a reason that for marketing dyno runs before and after performance parts installations need to be run on the same day with the same ambient air temp to keep things on the level.
Bro you wasn’t even towing. We all know you CGI’d that trailer 😂. Of course I literally have to say just kidding. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more!
I test drove a new 2024 Chevrolet 2500HD ZR2 the other day. I've been looking for a long time. The ZR2 wins hands down with the Duramax. Hopefully if everything works out I can order my new truck after the first of the year. Look forward to Banks parts after that. Great video.
I don’t particularly care for their “infomercials” claiming how awful the competitors products are vs theirs, but stop short of showing any measurable results. If their products are so much better, show the results…improvement in 0-60, dyno, mpg’s, even emissions at the tailpipe….just something to prove the product has a value to me. Not sorry, I want to see or feel some gain for the $$$ I pay. The intake horn for the Ram Cummins, for example. Exhausting data to explain how much better the flow is vs everyone else’s, yet zero videos showing any actual gains. Someone did a dyno with one and shows it provides no gains. Their recent oil pan video, again they beat down the OE and a competitor pan, yet still show nothing for a before & after temperature improvement.
@ I agree with you. I just chalk it up to him being an old man. Old people are either passive with a slipping mind or sharp as a tac extremely overbearing.
Dude, Banks is insane. I wish they made more stuff for ½ tons. I have a Banks Pedal Monster and a JB4 tune on my F150 powerboost and that thing runs like a raped ape. Especially if run E30 with an extra 7lbs of boost. Would love more Banks products
If you haven’t had it replaced yet, make sure that your truck doesn’t have the recall on the tailgate. They have a recall on a number of these trucks from 20 up to 24 where the tailgate just falls open because of a bad switch on the tailgate latch. I lost a bunch of stuff out of the bed of my truck because my tailgate fell open going down the interstate. It would suck to have that nice tailgate fall open and hit the trailer tongue. They’ll replace it for free, but you have to contact them because they never sent me any kind of documentation to go get it done like they’re supposed to.
So hey JB.. You said it spools up faster. Does it spool up quicker between 1000 and 1800 rps right off Idle when you start off from a stop? That's where mine seems to have the most lag as a stock 24 LP5.
It depends on your dealer and how they enforce GM warranty policies. It's best to feel out the dealer. If the dealership warns against aftermarket mods, find another dealer that embraces them or sells them. There are hundreds of aftermarket-friendly service centers.
Aside from our Ram Air intake, we currently are developing a set of Boost Tubes for all 2011+ Ford F-250/350 6.7L Power Strokes. As far as a Monster Ram, we do not have one yet.
I am waiting for the CAI fix from banks still on my ram 2022 3500. We i had the CAI and exhaust on i was getting way better mpg and better performance. Then check engine light for CAI ruin it all. It has been 2 years, and I am still waiting on a fix from Banks for CAI. I like how they have the best parts proven and tested, but it seems like they are more focused on GM stuff than Ram at this point.😢😢🤦♂️🤷♂️. I'm almost afraid to install the Monster-Ram on it due to cel may come on...thats not as easy to remove and put back stock as the cai.
Nice video but relax brother! Trump won! Everything is fantastic now lol. But in all seriousness I don’t want you to sleep on the weather conditions and the difference that they can play on performance. Now I’m not going to say that it made the entire 7 mph difference top speed or even the 4 tenths of a second better 1/8th mile ET, but the weather absolutely does affect performance. I don’t know the exact weather conditions from your test (or the exact elevation but I’ll use 5000’ for elevation) but if the barometric pressure would have been the same at 30.00 then the difference in temperature alone would have made the Density Altitude (DA) go from 7,483’ at 80 degrees to 6,228’ at 61 degrees. That would account for over a 3% loss in power on average when you consider you lose 3% for every 1000’ of elevation. And again, that’s not accounting for any barometric pressure differences between days or even the time of day. If that goes up by even .2 that drops the DA by over 200’. If it goes down by .2 it raises the DA by 200’. But good test. I don’t think there’s any doubt the new parts helped (you’re spinning the tires now lol) but don’t sleep on what the weather conditions do to the DA which is what matters to the engine as far as how much air it can get. And calm down man! Trump won. We are good!
The most important detail you missed, Toyota Tundra could do this faster and more reliable. Zero issues, zero maintenance, just seems to do better than 3/4, 1 ton trucks. Those toyo guys in the comments of every video make me glad I'm not "one of us, one of us".

😂 seriously? Who gives a fk? I laugh when i watch these types of videos. JB brings the receipts and slaps down the haters. Glorious.
Imagine what it would do without any of the EPA b.s. parts on there!😮
