"Are we in focus?" Your expression says it all. Sooo adorable and relatable.

Amazing tutorial! My loom only has space for 25 strings, in this situation what would you recommend? I tried with 20 strings in the warp but had an issue with my piece. It was one side would be over and the other under, what would you do in this situation?

Having an odd amount of warp strings is all you need 😊

Question for you. Why is it we want an uneven number of warp strings? PS. Thank you for the fantastic tutorials you do!

Since making this video I do use an even amount a lot more. It really depends on what you're making, whenever I’m doing a twill I do an odd number of strings, you can check out the diamond twill tutorial for the reasons behind that. What I like about an odd number in other scenarios is that you can start and end on an “over” a warp string, so if I’m weaving a ribbon in or something like that it just sits nicer. I used to exclusively weave with an odd amount, but I do find myself going for even more often now. An even amount is what you want if you plan on hanging the piece directly from the warp string loops, and works find in most cases. Hope that helps!

@@spruceandlinen Thank you for that. It makes a lot of sense. I am doing a weaving with an organic shape and wool roving with odd strings... and I think it would have been better with even. The best way to learn is to try it! I love your tutorials and I am learning so much!

Hello, I'm interested in learning to weave and doing it as a hobby. I've really enjoyed watching your videos. I wanted to ask, how long have you been weaving AND how did you get into it? Keep up the great content!
