being that the U.S. is an individualistic country(me, I), people are more prone to exaggerate the fact "they" went through it and "they" hurt and "I" hurt instead of realizing to accept that WE as humans go through an unfair existence and just keep marching on. Acceptance is a great medicine and anything resembling self-pity is a poison.

I think people do feel trapped tho.. And believe that dying is the only way out..
But I want everyone to know, that you can make the necessary changes to make sure you live a life that makes you happy..
Mostly people should get out of cities and high stress situations/jobs, take some time to reflect and figure out what makes them feel so sad, lonely and misaligned.
Then work towards the things that make you feel better.
I am currently working on paying down my mortgage, so that I get the freedom to move, and can keep my place as a rent out, and by that, have enough money to pay for a slower, simpler lifestyle.
To be free to move somewhere warmer, so I don't have to deal with cold weather month after month.. (Norway)
I am so sick and tired of being cold/freezing all day long..

Yea but demons aren't real. Once you realize you didn't pick Jesus rather the country you were born into did just like if you were born in an Islamic country then Jesus is the enemy as he is a false god per the quran. Yes. PTSD is real if it involves real trauma. "Demons" are mental illess and Phil said as much using kid gloves and I know PTSD. I've been to bush's wars and lost friends and few yrs ago I got ambushed in my own front yard by neighbors 2 pitbulls who ripped my leg open and now I have panic attacks going from my truck to my front door. For me, it’s actually more painful to unclench my jaw than when it’s clenched. I hate it. Mine doesn’t manifest exactly like this woman does, but I have episodes where it appears like a normal panic attack, or I go..blank. For hours. I get so disoriented. I’ll stare at the wall blank for 45 minutes straight. I can’t think. It feels like I’m simultaneously outside my own body but at the same time it’s like I can feel myself as this substance within the shell of my body. Like I almost think as if “I’m” my substance and being, but my body is just a shell. There’s an odd separation there that is hard to explain and even I struggle to understand it when I’m not in that mindset. It’s bizarre.

I have PTSD and when I’m having a flashback, sometimes I have PNES type response which is “psychogenic non epileptic seizures”. I hate when people call them pseudo seizures because it’s very real to me. I get brain fog, everything goes black, I cannot respond and afterwords I am so tired I need to take a nap for an hour. It sucks and it kills me when people say it’s fake or I’m faking.
PTSD affects everyone differently and we need understanding and treatments not criticism and mocking.

What she is experiencing is called a pseudo seizure! Many people all around the world have these, who have been through some kind of traumatic experience or experiences in they're lives, but they are not neurological in nature but psychosematic!Hers are actually very mild compared to ones I've experienced off and on over last 20 years or so,but they are dayly, several times, where mine are all over the nowhere near that! There is no real explenation as to what actually happens biologically, but these are so much more common then people realize, and there is a direct connection with trauma! Thus, treating the PTSD is key in curing these!I know for me it's been the case, the more emotional and psychological healing I experience, the less they have become over the course of my adult life, and I'm still on that healing journey, for I've experienced multiple traumas, mostly as a child but also some in my adult life! But I will now go a year or even more without one so there is hope😊

I have been dealing with these tilypes of seizures for several years now. Medication does help, but therapy to help heal from what caused the trauma in the first place and learning how to release it from my life, has been extremely beneficial. I would like to see the full episode of this segment. My heart goes out to the woman. Trauma is an SOB. It takes time to heal, but we can recover.

I don't have it to this extreme .. but I deal with often bad panic attacks (due to trauma as a child/teen ) where I cannot speak or hear outside of the loud ringing in my ear and I shake so bad for over an hour .. I have insane anxiety and it has ran my life for so long ... but .my husband has broke down and has said numerous times exactly what you just said...he can't help me .. and it tears him up. I feel so guilty for even making him see me have an episode bc I don't want him to feel that.

@@cchastee0614 Hey Christa, I'm really sorry to hear that and what you have to endure as a result of childhood trauma. I won't say that I understand because personally I didn't experience any form of trauma as a kid, I do however provide support to children and older teenagers who have been exposed to trauma. It's a tough fight for those wee one's and I do my best to help them and encourage them to never give up!
It's easier said than done but you shouldn't feel guilty for something that you had no control over. That's not your fault at all. It's clear how much your husband loves you and who wants to keep you safe.
Do you have any sort of strategy to follow when you do experience these panic attacks?

Yes, unless one suffers from this like we do, they will never really understand.
My flash backs happen when instances happen that look, sound like or smell like what happened to cause the trauma in the first place. The episode causes me to lose time and current memory of what is going on atm something triggers the flashback.
Is a horrible way to live life especially since I have 6 kids and a total of 11 grandchildren.

I have “staring flashbacks”, but I’ve also had full blown blackouts during a few of mine. I have no idea what I said or did during them… I “woke up” to my kids screaming at me… It was terrifying for them and me.
I’m separated from them and my husband while I work on my CPTSD symptoms. I was rapidly losing the ability to care for them and even myself.
I have also had full body cramps and sleep paralysis, but I usually would wake up unable to move and couldn’t get a deep breath.

It can take the whole day, or DAYS even... if a flashback becomes involved, it is like being instantly thrust into another reality-- and days and nights of hypervigilance follow, you are TERRIFIED of ever "slipping" away again.....this is no joke, and I feel like this is actually demeaning TRUE PTSD, and the people who are truly suffering. What's crazy is I've suffered from severe tmj to the point of surgery, shots in my face for some relief, all kinds of stuff for the pain. Bad tmj all I could do is hang my jaw and try to sleep sitting up bc of the pain being so bad. A lot of cases of my jaw locking like that and for the first time I may finally have an answer I need to speak to someone about! Wow! For years tons of drs couldn't figure out why my jaws were so bad! That attack looked horrible and I hope you are feeling better. It's been over twenty years and I've been years without an attack and then they'll start up again out of no where it seems sometime but definitely talk to someone. That always seemed to help for me. It's scary bc i dont have any medicine to help cope when having an episode. I'm scared next time I'll have a seizure bc the last time felt like I was in one or going into a seizure I couldnt vision and hearing went blank once I started hyperventilating than I tensed up couldnt speak think properly really disoriented 30mins later finally subsided but I felt really weak drained I had a friend take me to ER to get checked out. Bc I dont have insurance csnt afford it or I'd go get the medicine I need to help when my anxiety is spiking or PTSD episode occurs. It’s triggered mostly by seeing violence or aggression. I went to a service for ‘driving out demons’. I became worse and ended up becoming very paranoid and locked myself in my room.
Trauma counselling over the years is improving things but it’s a bit of a long ride and you do have to find the right people to have treatment with, namely specialists in the field of PTSD.

It really annoys me that at some point they treated her as 'demon possessed' .
If you thought a demon was possessing you in a regular basis, would you typically have higher or lower levels of fear about episodes over time?
Relying ONLY on faith - and I do believe in real life miracles (I have seen them in action many times) WILL NOT simply cure all conditions. I would say fear of the devil and PTSD were never good 'bed fellows' from the get go.

So what caused her PTSD? I have 3 combat deployments in close combat with the enemy. I understand PTSD. She literally had an episode seemingly on Q. Until they discuss what caused her ptsd I call BS. It’s hilarious to me how people keep trying to outsmart Dr. Phil. He didn’t have a reaction because he knew it wasn’t real.

@@Bibblesupremacy1992 it's likely that he's been through things that none of us have. Imagine having bombs blown up beside you and gunshots? I've experienced those in my childhood as a witness which caused cptsd but I'd assume actually being in it would be much worse, and comparably worse than our ptsds. Objectively speaking that is.

I worked in psychiatric hospitals with victims of PTSD, adult and child, for 30 plus years, and I never saw an "episode" like his. It definitely appears psychosomatic, which means she can get some good long-term therapy (counseling) to resolve it.

@Eren Cox you may be right. I need to be triggered by something for my ptsd to present itself. I normally cry and get really embarrassed as someone else normally triggers it without meaning to or knowing what triggers me. Then I’m apologising profusely. It rarely happens though but I do keep myself to myself most of the time.

My attacks are vastly different from hers and much less frequent but whenever it happens in front of my family it becomes such a huge thing that I have to deal with for days. Loved to see this, although I get it must be a terrible situation for everybody involved.
