Quick question: a friend is trying it for a low vision person but it seems like the zoom option does not work when on the desktop or in any other applications besides the web browsers. Can you zoom in and move around when seeing the desktop?

How durable is this screen... If the fingers are pressed too hard will it get ruined? How foes it seem?
Great question! The Dell P2424HT is designed to be fairly robust and can handle regular touch interactions without getting ruined. It's manufactured to withstand normal levels of pressure from fingers. However, as is the case with any electronic device, excessive force or misuse can potentially cause harm.
