Hi, thanks for the video. So from what you showed, it can extend to the second monitor via HDMI? And the second monitor doesn't need to be a Hub, I could get the P2422HE which would be the hub and the non-Hub P2422H as the child monitor. This is good as I'd save £50 on the P2422H and they look outwardly identical.

You need to connect to the DisplayPort that's labeled as output. And that can be done to other ordinary monitors.

Really liking the daising chaining, thank you for testing all those features. Just wish the monitor itself could be daisy chained for power in some way too. Its relatively low power usage 11w vs 23+ for the 21 and the 4k models but this basically eliminates a full separate hub for me. Why it has hdmi 1.4 in this day though 🤦‍♂️

Very good video, agreed to most things, with the exception that I would mention, that usb C on the laptop, it needs to support display port out, for example, the cheaper end of Huawei laptops and some Lenovo ones that I've tested, don't have this feature, opting for HDMI plug, which is something....yet limiting.
As for conversion, sadly you simply cannot exceed the HDMI output of FHD /60hz on the 1.4 HDMI most laptops have, I think you can do that with a HDMI 2.0 cable + adaptor to display port, but even so, the laptop needs to handle that bus lane.
Considering everything, I feel like it makes sense to get one of these + a cheaper one to daisy chain via DP - DP , or if you can spare the extra pesos, might as well have 2 capable monitors, in case you also need to charge a phone etc via quick charge

    1. is this a successor to p2419H?
    2. if successor than what are the difference between both of these monitors (ie P2419h and P2422H)
    3. At what price did you buy this monitor? currently P2419H is around 17K and P2422H is around 16K.
    4. Does the screen has flicker? I mean are the letters sharp enough for long viewing? often monitors are dull and have low sharpness because of which the texts on the screen seem flicker/hazy. Does this monitor have any such issue?
    5. What is the power power output of the power cable? the reason for asking this question is because the P2419H had a huge 15A 3 pin socket. Does this model have same pins?

Daisy-chaining, officially known as multi-stream transport, or MST (in the case of DisplayPort technology) involves connecting a monitor to another monitor instead of directly to your system's video out port. It's a great way of minimizing cable clutter and extending the range of your monitors from the source system. You will conect your laptop to the first monitor with USB-c cable and the display port out of the monitor 1 to the display port in of the monitor 2, both monitors powered to eletric source. But to do that your monitor 1 got to have the MST technology.

I assume you are intending to use your laptop connected via single USB-C port:
      1) No, laptop will regulate the charging.
      2) I would connect all peripherals to the monitor as I want to keep amount of cables I connect to my laptop.
      3) Many windows laptop with USB-C port charging & display out should be compatible. Because your specification is AMD Ryzen CPU, there is a chance it might not work as it often doesn't charge via USB-C. I actually do not have experience with recent ThinkPads, so I can't answer this with confidence.
      4) This will depend on whether your laptop is compatible or not. Without single USB-C setup, there are cheaper monitors available on market.

@@oumaimabg9543 yeah, I've seen monitors with those grilles without speakers. They need that for cooling. Your OS can send it to the monitor, but won't play anything as you said until you connect a sound device.
