am so happy to see this particular video! As an oldster (72 years young) who has been out in the woods a whole lot, and gotten caught as the dark descended, finding the right location to weather the night is of upmost importance! Las time I was with two small kids who could not possibly walk the five miles out so I just did as you are doing! We did not have much to eat, but I had packed extra munchies so basically no one went hungry. I will never let those kids talk me into continuing beyond my set safety time for returning! That was stupid of me but I learned a big lesson! Again Thanks!

what I like about your videos, now having watch quite a few , is that you have an inherent sense of the natural world, just how you paid pointed concentrated effort on how the stones in the fire screen should be placed and fitted together, show that you are thinking always about how the world around you fits, most individuals, unfortunately do not have this awareness, which has been trained into you and which you have developed over the years! This is what I like so much about your work! oh about the grease on the rib eye, excellent fuel

So many downed trees/branches on my son-in-law’s property- a shelter like this would be great.

Good job Shawn my favorite video of yours to date. Glad to see you have a sense of humor, hulk, the caution of burying bodies. Out standing.

I love this channel. Cpl. keeps it so real. No gimmicks, just pure bush craft.
