Thanks for showing us the work, so we don't have to do it in order to learn something, Corporal. A standing and perfect salute to you, Sir. And once again, thanks for your (continuing) service.

I'm watching some of these wilderness camping vids where some are bringing so much stuff it's getting ridiculous. The hot tents are really interesting, but one had a pack about as big as himself! Or packing massive axes and saws but doing limited cutting. Another brought a huge glass bottle of Worcestershire sauce for a few splashes. I'm liking this realistic, thought-out approach. The 2-tarp shelters are appealing to me though.

Sometimes I read some of the comments folks make in regards to the video, and, after re-watching and listening to your video, it occurs to me that many don't 'listen' to all you have to say. I want you to know - I appreciate the time and effort you take to teach and inspire. With each video, I learn something new that I can use in my camping expeditions as well as ideas to store in the brain bank if an emergency should arise. Every situation calls for different options. I like knowing those options.

Thanks for another great video! When I camp, I always have a 10/22 with me for unfriendly animals that forget who’s on top of the food chain. I also keep my handgun for animals that are on top of the food chain. Do you carry anything similar? Have you encountered any serious predators like Mountain Lion/Cougar or bear?

Have you looked into the durability of potential predators skulls vs different calibers? There was a recent video breakdown on the channel "Active self protection" where an off duty cop was charged by an aggressive pitbull outside his front door, and he shot the pitbull, one of the bullets ricocheted off the pitbulls skull and knocked it out for about a minute. I believe it was a 9mm caliber. That would have no chance of penetrating a bear skull, and very doubtful for a cougar. Just something to think about. Stay safe out there.

Cosmic Atom You’re absolutely right and I have considered that. Many animals growl, show teeth, and/or open their mouths when trying to look aggressive and that makes for a vulnerable target if you can hit it. But one shouldn’t waste all ammo trying for that. If after two rounds it isn’t backing off, prepare to go hand to hand and score close in shots to neck, abdomen or chest while defending with other arm and legs. Definitely not a situation one would want to be in but it’s worth “what if-ing” in your head.

Old, fat and lazy? Not a chance brother! You're my same age, a fellow veteran and a big inspiration to both myself and my sons. We've learned so much and have been inspired to get out and enjoy the outdoors "Corporal Style". Recently I even had my sons set up their first improvised shelter, build a fire and make their own chow. Needless to say they did an outstanding job and I'm very proud. So thanks again, take care and be safe.

Been in too many rain storms...all I could see was an excellent focus for 'Naked and Afraid', but all the while watching you I was shivering knowing rain is NOT gentle in a storm and 3 sides were exposed to the elements.
Rain rain did NOT go away UNTIL the clouds were gone, and mean time I was a drowned rat waiting for a pirate to save my sorry buttocks. Cold cold cold has a whole new meaning in cellular memory, after my camping experiences, let me tell you!
Your video is inspirational; and after seeing this (channel viewers) go try out a few knots, raise that bed off the ground, and enjoy everyday of your life. Chow.

cover the one end in sand and you can build your fire on it also. You are dry and so is your fire.

I don't know how long you were in or how many deployments, but from what I see of your cooking skills I imagine you could modify an MRE into something quite different than what came in the package. As far as to much work, waking up cold and wet ass vice comfortable and dry, I'll build a bed off the ground.

The people who complain that it's too much work for one night make no sense, he's putting in the work for the great content he brings us unlike most youtubers these days that just click bait to get views. He deserves more subs than he's got but he's thankful for the channel and how it's grown.
