    Not a bad video but a few points to mention for viewers who use it as a guide. One - the canadian version of the Pixel 5 does not have the cable that is removed at 3:36. Two - I broke my fingerprint sensor when following this tutorial, do not just pull after lifting up both sides, there is an additional patch of adhesive under the the mini processor part. Three - You should probably re-apply the protective barriers if you're going to painstakingly remove them. Other than that, this video was really helpful to allow me to replace my back replacement (lens glass cracked and couldn't take a proper picture)

      UK version doesn't have that cable either removed at 3:30 and neither that cable at 4:50. What are those, antennas?

      @@ZioVelvet There are two millimeter's waves (20-40 Ghz) 5G band antennas. This 5G band is present in the US only as far as I know.

    Thanks for this. Super helpful when replacing the shell. Since, of course, you cant just glue on a new piece of camera glass after it breaks.

      @@EricWitrigs OK, then i will give it a try. Do you know if the camera frame from Pixel 4 xl is the same size?
      Thx

      @tdbone35 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deinTrainerIngo same size but the speaker hole is on the left when facing the rear camera on the 4 but the five is on the right and the adhesive would be on the opposite side. I just did it and it was pretty simple, use alcohol to remove the black adhesive being careful not to get any on the lens I did and it made my wide angle blurry I had to get a lens clening kit from Best Buy to clean the adhesive residue off of my lens

    1:11 so what glue to use to stick it back on??? Same for many parts where you tear it out. I'm sure it won't be as sticky as original on second use. I'm afraid it may fall lose in future.

      We usually use B700 glue or custom adhesive for different models.

    Hello guys. Just a question. I need to replace the came module - unfortunately I live in the country without the Google support. Is it a big deal to open the phone as I am assuming from your video that would is the biggest challenge for the camera module replacement? Once the screen is off - what is the best way to put it back? Any special glue is needed or you just using the remaining one on the frame? Anyone has had this kind of experience? Is it relatively easy or rather use the specialist for thatt? Thanks

    My Speakers are completely gone. Barely hear my phone ring.went to 3 repair places and each one immediately said there is a possibility when taking the phone apart the screen may crack and said they either charge me 80-90 for the speaker but if the screen breaks they will charge me 180 for the screen repair too. After watching this video I feel like they were all trying to scam me as it doesn't look like the screen can break that easy taking it apart. I've replaced the screen on my essential phone by myself a few years back but think maybe I'll just wait to upgrade to the pixel 8 a keep my phone on vibe and in my pocket at all times lol
