5:02 I LOOOOOVE THIS PART SO MUCH. MAKES ME INSANE EVERY TIME I WATCH IT. THE SPRITE SWITCH IS SO SO CLEVER AND AWFUL AND I LOVE IT TO DEATH. THIS GAME MAKES ME ILL
5:02 I originally thought this was Siffrin being cut off by Loop But now I’m pretty sure IT WAS LOOP GLITCHING AND LOOKING LIKE SIFFRIN FOR A SPLIT SECOND OH MY GOD
My headcanon is that Loop got sent back to their original timeline, now knowing how to break the loop, basically fulfilling both his wishes! That's honestly a pretty logical conclusion, since that's the only way his wish would truly come true. He wanted someone to save them, not to save another version of them, after all. If anything, ISAT Siffrin might have saved SA Siffrin by discovering how to break the loop, allowing them to get the happy ending they deserved
OK I CHANGED THE DESCRIPTION AFTER LEARNING THAT THE PROCESS I TOOK WAS LITERALLY NOT NECESSARY. Thank you folks for letting me know how simple it was, intentionally or otherwise LMAO
Thank you so much for this. I didn't even know I could go back to town and talk to Loop!! Once I loaded my epilogue save, I could do this secret boss encounter without having to go back to an earlier act
not actually watching the video because i want to do this for myself but i just want to say thank you very much for including spoiler-free instructions in the description! i knew it had something to do with the coin but i didn't know what, so i was gonna go through the whole game constantly interacting with it and showing it to loop which would've probably taken forever,,
I would've loved to play this section myself, but going through the entire game again for a secret ending/boss fight just isn't worth it when there are other great indie games to find and play! Thank you SO much for uploading this without commentary! Also the Odile dialogue! I didn't get caught so I didn't get this either.
(SPOILER WARNING JUST IN CASE) 11:31 Making Loop be the version of Siffron from the prologue START AGAIN START AGAIN START AGAIN was so clever on the dev’s part. Not only is it a nice nod even if you didn’t play it, but anyone who did play it before starting this game would instantly remember the prologue’s true ending and notice that Siffron’s personality doesn’t match at the start of the game, as well as Loop not being in the prologue, but wouldn’t think much of it since the prologue is essentially a demo, so the whole twist basically tricks the player into assuming there’s no actual connection. I love it when game devs pull the rug out from under the player by turning the meta on its head.
Ooh thanks for making this video!! I’d heard there was a secret boss but had no idea who or what it was, I didn’t keep any saves from earlier in the game, and I didn’t want to replay the whole thing just yet 😅
i went through the game, beat it, went to go listen to the OST, read there was a secret boss, played through the entire game AGAIN to try and fulfill the prereqs for it, still crabbing messed them up somehow, so, here i am. thanks for the upload, i was starting to feel like i was in a loop myself, playing the same game repeatedly until something changed
So my theory is that loop is specifically the siffrin from start again, a prologue, because that version has some inconsistencies with the main ISAT game that could be explained by them being separate universes. Plus that siffrin mentions going against the king thousands of times which would kind of match up with what loop says here
Didn't even realise this was considered a secret boss haha, I wanted to look at the house and realised I went back to town and then went "oooh I should go and see Loop to thank them :]" i wasn't expecting the fight or the reveal lol
You don’t have to. When did you save? My last save was at the room where you last talk to everyone. I didn’t realize I could go down to Dormont until looking online after I’d beaten the game. But I was able to load it up and go back to dormont and battle Loop
I'm kinda scared to read comments cause I don't wanna get spoiled, but I didn't get this dialogue when interacting with the tree, I just gave up my coin and said goodbye to Loop. Also the music sounds more calm and piano-y. Is my save point too far in the game?
@@AnimaidanFramesyou need to interact with it repeatedly in act 3/4 until you get a flashback, then speak to loop and this should happen, I don’t know if you can just load a chapter 6 save after getting the interaction though
You can load one from act 4, actually! All that matters is that you get the incident dialogue from the coin, show it to loop, and finish the game. So you could hypothetically start a file at the END (not the HH room) of act 4, do the thing, and hop right into act 5 and proceed to finish the game, since act 5 doesn't really take all too long.
@olive4097 you need to trigger the "You remember the incident" dialogue and then interact with the coin again next to loop immediately after (aka "showing" them the coin and them making a comment ab it. You can just talk and say goodbye to loop and then use the silver coin cuz the spacing is weird). Also HH just stands for Head Housemaiden AKA The End lmao
Actually, it's not just "get a flashback and then talk to loop" - you have to SHOW the coin to loop at any point after getting the flashback.
"They looked at me like a stranger" my sibling in Christ you are a being of pure astral energy

Yeah because that Siffrin has the hat when at this point the one we play as lost his hat

Headcanoning this now because I NEED loop to get a happy ending

I replayed it since I didn't have a save before act 5 and it was cool to see Loop's dialogue from a different perspective

bringing suicide to a whole new level here
I'm curious what happens if you lose this fight since you can't loop anymore
Loop will get ready to finish you off, but find out they don't really have it on them to do so and let you go
So my theory is that loop is specifically the siffrin from start again, a prologue, because that version has some inconsistencies with the main ISAT game that could be explained by them being separate universes. It's confrmed by the devs.
It's confirmed by the devs.
the mouse circling over the missing word at the super emotional moment fucking got me good actually LMAO

Maybe it was the Universe wanted
Why would they give us closure with Loop and make it MISSABLE!
After I finished this game I played Start Again: A Prologue so I get what Loop was feeling
Wow you are overleveled for this fight compared to what I was.
Did this shit first time on accident. I wanted to thank him 😭
WHY WOULD YOU PICK THAT
Guess who made one save file?
Ha ha it’s me!
I’m not playing the game again, emotionally I couldn’t do that.
Coward

Does anyone know if anything special happens if you lose this fight?
Loop, in rage, chokes Sif only to back out (lose nerve) last second declaring they’ve worked hard for their ending (etc)
@@temporalquarter9866 yeah! I did find the video thanks for the response nonetheless

oh dang when I interacted with the coin it even said "Somehow it feels like theres something you could have done with this, but it's too late now"
@@AnimaidanFramesyou need to interact with it repeatedly in act 3/4 until you get a flashback, then speak to loop and this should happen, I don’t know if you can just load a chapter 6 save after getting the interaction though

@@thumbtack4751 the . “You remember the incident” dialogue? do you have to use the coin near loop or does it appear in a dialogue option
also btw . what’s the . HH room, completed the game but my mind escapes me

can you get this by getting the dialogue in act 4, then loading to act 6? or does that not work?
2nd place where ivory isn't
