    Are you a fan of the new interior on the JL Wrangler?

      ExtremeTerrain.com HELL YEAH I'M A FAN! I love it! If you don't like it, don't buy it. Jeep isn't going to miss your business. There's hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who are going to buy it. Complain and bitch all you want, but this is the FUTURE of the wrangler.

      The interior changes make the JL a good buy even though it cost more than the JK. Many of the changes are items that most people would want to buy but are costly especially if you have to pay to have them installed. And some are not available aftermarket features. For a daily and a weekend warriors the interior changes are very nice.

      Most yes...personally I’d like to ditch any tech that can get damaged while wheeling. Such as any tech in the mirrors. But generally I’m pretty excited to have a comfortable Wrangler.

    I own 2007 Sahara with 204 k miles and just recently I have purchased 2020 Sahara. Both 4 door. Two completely different Jeep’s. 07 is typical Jeep with more comfortable ride than 1995 I’ve had. 2020 is a pleasure to drive. Much better acceleration, better mpg in general very good ride. I just bought my first Jeep. I ordered it on 11-30-2020 and it arrived at the dealership on 02-12-2021. So not a bad wait time if you ask me. I ordered a 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and totally love it! I bought it for off roading and cannot wait to see how capable the Jeep is off roading. I used to go out off roading all the time in my Toyota Tacoma’s and had a blast in them but the Rubicon is a far more better off roading vehicle. I appreciated this video because there is a lot to get used to and figure out on my Rubicon on how all of the interior stuff works.

    Beautiful Jeep. The JL is amazing and shows that the JEEP brand is staying innovative and up to date. I feel sorry for those who don't like the tech. It's the way of the future and will not get less complicated. Sure there are too many ways to control the same things but....that's w anything nowadays. Just look at how many ways you can do something on your phone.
    I really like the vehicle info screen. This includes many features that I had to get a traildash2 for in my JK. Also pleased to see that now there is oil pressure gauge. That's something I was quite shocked that the JKs didn't have when I started looking at them.
    I dislike the grab handles. Too big/bulky. I dislike the location of the air vents in front but it's awesome that there are now 2 vents for the backseat. I also like that they added several usb/aux/power outlets. I think they should have kept the cup holders in back though.
    Don't like garage opener either but overall this interior is very nice,comfortable,modern,informative and will help owners maintain these jeeps better.
    Just don't get caught in the rain w your top off. My JK has been through 2 good soakings and everything is fine except some of the touch buttons on the radio.
    The JL has so much electronics, it would be a nightmare if it got soaked. So I guess it does take away some of the rugged-ness there.
    Not to mention a leather dash getting wet...yikes.
    Overall I still love the JL inside and out.

    Ordered this model Sahara 4x4 JL. Really excited about it mainly considering the main topic of the video. It’s hard not to love this car once you get in one as a passenger/or driver. Extremely comfortable and tbh with the remote start you can easily do without climate upgrade. Also the standard 7in screen that comes standard is kick ass and who are we kidding, we all use WAZE/Gmaps. For the luxury of this car it’s way more affordable then meets the eye. Can’t wait! Great review as well

    My favorite Jeep thus far, I feel that they've elevated their game quite a bit and certainly enjoying the luxury. My only issue so far is the Steering Wheel, it has too much play (about 2" in each direction) and not sure that's normal. Since I only have less than 200miles on it, I'm taking it in for check up just to make sure. Appreciate the review; it saved me time reading the manual...

    One thing that I don't seem to understand is the two interior dimmer controls. The LEFT, from my understanding, suppose to control the dim level of the overhead lights and the courtesy lights in the feet area, while the RIGHT one should only control the gauges and cluster panel lights. For me, the LEFT one only affects the courtesy lights near the feet area, and the right one actually controls if I my overhead light stays on/off all the time as well as dim level on the cluster... I never were able to control the dim level of the overhead lights...

    I love my JL Wrangler but there is one BIG problem. That is the FOB. If you forget and lock the doors, The only way to get inside of your Jeep is to call a lock smith. Recently while at the doctor's office I locked mine up with the FOB inside. The only solution is either try to buy another FOB from Jeep or the locksmith calls. Either way it is very expensive. I hate the thought of being out in the mountains in a parking lot and your Jeep is loaded. When you lock it to secure the contents, you are screwed royal. Only the JL Wrangler Sport is like this as the Sierra and others have door locks that will not allow you to lock the doors with the FOB inside. Again expensive to add too. All In all I will find a way around this problem. Good review and Yes I do get emails from ExtremeTerrain where I do purchase also.

    Here’s my take. I have an 08 JKU Sahara and I’ve pretty much stripped off and out any part I could customize or upgrade. When I bought her, used with 145k, I never thought I’d be paging through tons of magazines and websites looking for a new little upgrade or going balls deep into a overhaul project that left my Jeep on jack stands for weeks. Point is, I love buying new shit I don’t need for it and breaking out my tools to do another driveway install and I feel like Jeep doesn’t want their customers to do any of that anymore, but rather invite the neighbors over for a driveway CAR WASH!
    Last thing...
    The roof and doors are not meant to provide any structural integrity or help to protect you in a rollover or T-BONE!

    What about Leather VS Cloth for weather purposes and does everything inside hold up to rain, I live in FL so it will get wet and w or will be hot to sit on...

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The entire interior of your Jeep will hold up to light rain storms regardless of leather or cloth options, I wouldn't go spraying things down with a pressure washer though. Dark leather does tend to soak up some heat in the summer, if you plan to keep your top off in the warmer months I would recommend investing in a mesh-top or bikini top to keep your seats cool and a little more dry (only talking about the bikini top, mesh tops will let in rain pretty quick). -Zach

      @@extremeterrain One doesn't hold up better than? does the cloth smell does it take longer to dry cloth vs leather?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leather will hold up long-term if you condition and take care of it, its also a bit more "premium" and is easier to clean/keep pet hair off of. The new cloth seats in the JL are super durable as well but like all cloth seats can be a pain if something spills on them. A good pair of seat covers will make cloth last though. The two of them are going to be water resistant to an extent but the cloth would probably take longer to dry out fully in comparison since water doesn't necessarily soak into leather. -Zach

      Cant use cell phones? Better allow you to connect cell phone to radio so you can just use it there. "Auto makers"

      Skodz Gaming wtf are you talking about? You most certainly can use your smartphone. You pair it to the vehicle just like every other car built in the last 10 years lol.

    I have a 2010 JK with both hard and soft tops. Thinking of upgrading for the added safety features as well as some of the comfort/ease of use technology. With the 2018, can you still swap out the hard top for the soft top or are you stuck with whichever you choose? I wasn't clear on that. Also, I assume with the new backup camera that spare tire covers will become a thing of the past?

    8:44 startling you? Really? I barely notice it.
    10:51 I don't like the map function Trips. I set a bunch of points to take me on a fun drive and it ALWAYS tries to find a shorter route. You do have the option to choose between routes, but there is not an option to drive AS SET. Very odd.
    15:18 odd that there is auto down, but not auto up?

    If you're streaming music via Bluetooth and turn the Jeep off and back on at later time, does it go back to Bluetooth mode or default back to AM/FM mode?
    Does the dome light turn on when you turn the Jeep off and remove the key from the ignition? Thanks!

    My biggest question is, since I have a Flashpaq programmer for my JK..will it work with the JL? And whether it does or doesn't, is their any way I can program JL to never turn on the engine shut-off feature?

    I love these Kris but I just can’t justify spending $47K for the same old Jeep. Leather seats but everything else was Redundant. Just about all the options on Jeep are standard on 4Runner and you part a few $K less.
