  • Hi everyone! We're back, and off on another adventure, this time walking along the oldest National Trail in Scotland, the West Highland Way, a long distance hike stretching from Milngavie, just outside of Glasgow, all the way North to Fort William, the home of Ben Nevis - It took us 6 days all together, and involved lots of wild camping, some decent weather, and absolutely incredible scenery - this is day 5, and one of the most beautiful on the whole trail, it's sunny, it's rugged, and it's the best of the Scottish Highlands- I hope you enjoy, and thankyou so much for watching :)

Wait, how have you so few subscribers?
This video alone made me think you were a much bigger content creator than you are.
Please keep at it - you have a great presence on camera and I love how genuine you come across when describing your emotions.
    I really enjoyed your video…
On and for the record- the house you saw in the distance beyond the road is over 900 years old !!

Glad to see that you enjoyed the West Highland Way so much. I would love to do it myself. I'm just trying to find someone to walk it with me. Have you ever heard of the Whithorn Way? It takes you from Glasgow Cathedral to the Isle of Whithorn, in Dumfries and Galloway.

We absolutely loved it, such a beautiful trail! You definitely should do it, you'd be surprised how many people you actually meet🥰 And no I've never heard of that one, but it sounds amazing! Going to look into it now😅

@@ShelbyandJordan It's an old pilgrimage route, and it takes you past the Paisley Abbey, which is definitely worth a visit. It is said that William Wallace was educated in the monastery that the Paisley Abbey was once part of.

Great scenery on this leg of your walk. Fantastic B roll footage of the views and also the choice of background music. I would suggest you consider investing in a better audio option for future adventures. Thank you for the time creating, editing and posting the videos of your trips. 👍

Thankyou so much for your comment, it was such a beautiful section of trail😍 And I 100% agree, the audio drives me nuts sometimes, we recently got a rode mic, so hoping that's gonna help with future videos🤞🏼 Thankyou for watching💖

Love your video, again awesome editing. Tiny spot you camped at bridge of orchy, i prefer the wild camp spot just past the invororan hotel where you got your coffee from. Its amazing spot. Also what month was this ?

Thankyou so much🥰 I totally agree, wish we'd known the camping spots a little better, definitely would've pushed on knowing what was further ahead! And we did it back in May😊

How'd you guys find those old roman roads? Pretty tough on the feet eh. I did the West Highland Way back in November of 2017. Only one other person on trail, all amenities closed for the season. Alot of rain. But had the best time!

Sorry for the slow reply! But they definitely are yeah, so pretty though😍 And no way! That's crazy, good on you for doing it in November, must have been epic not having a ton of people on the trail! Thankyou so much for watching 💖

Love your video. Most people have heard about the beauty of my country and just how amazing the Highlands are. Also the weather - there’s a long running joke about Scottish weather being wet, windy and miserable all year round but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Climate change is obviously playing a huge part in the reduction of Scotlands usual season long, absolutely rammed ski-resorts opening less and less due to milder winters but having lived in the North of Scotland all my life apart from 5 years working in the States and a couple years living South of the border, this is the only drawback of the average yearly temperatures rising regularly- for the past 30 years it’s seen less harsh winters and far hotter summers with rain being no longer tied to the “rainy seasons” of Spring and Autumn.
Basically what I’m trying to say is Scotlands weather is FAR from what you hear.
Where I was born, my parents city has not seen a year with more than a week or two of snow each year. Summers are hot and balmy and regularly over 26 degrees- which to some doesn’t sound much but for Scots this feels like being on holiday to the Med.
I lived in Texas (waaaaay too hot) and worked in California setting up a US company office (which is an amazing US State) and also in Kentucky (sorry if I offend anyone but NEVER going back there) and one thing I hear over and over is how the US is the greatest country on Earth - with regards to just about everything.
Well, come to Scotland - and I guarantee you’ll never make that claim again !!

That's so true actually!! The same happens with us living in Lancashire (even though we're nowhere near as North as you!) that our Northern weather rains all the time, and you're totally right, although we get our fair share of rain, it's definitely significantly milder! Especially considering the 20° heat we've been having at the minute, in the middle of October🤯 Bet the North of Scotland is such a beautiful place to live though, hoping to get up there alot more next year🤞🏼 Thankyou so much for your comment💖
