    4:23 I think people are little forgiving to the sig dot. I know 3 guys, personally, that have had multiple Romeos break on them with not very high round counts. I understand wear and tear, but I only know 1 guy that had an SRO break down - it was closing on 40k rounds fired for that dot.
    I also don’t care for the SRO fisheye but I’ve never noticed it when live fire training or matches. Which makes sense, because I’m trying to be target focused. I hope this Holosun is as quality as most of their pistol dots.

      I've had issues with sigs too. They have lasted up to 20k but I've also had them fail less than 5k. The good thing is they have a great warranty and customer service. Holosun is new to me so time will tell, but I've heard only good things so far. I have no personal experience with the sro but have had mixed reviews from friends about them.

    I run the R3Max on my 320’s but I’ll be getting a pair of 507Comp’s for my Shadows - I have 5 Holosuns on a variety of pistols and my PCC and they’ve all been bombproof so far

    I would take the holosun over the sig twice a day . Sig optics are junk. I had a sig Romeo pro on my 226 and it would shut down and not turn back on. I replaced the battery and it would work for 20 rounds and stop again. I sent it to sig and the sent it back saying there was nothing wrong with it. I immediately replaced it with a holosun and I have no regrets.

      Yeah, holosun seems to have great reliability and durability.

    The 507 comp is ok but the reticle is blurry compared to the trijicon rmr hd. Night and day quality difference. May buy another rmr hd.

    I really loved my Romeo 1 pro but it just did not last, about 5k and it won't stay on. I also have two sros, one with probably 20K and one with 7K and they've both been flawless. Unfortunately I personally hear a lot of people having problems with their sig optics

    I have a Holosun 508T titanium solar panel backup red dot on my M&P 2.0 10mm with a 4.625 inch barrel quad ported by Mag-Na-Port. I use X/S optic height tritium night sights and turn off the red dot for a clear view of my open steel sights.

    I know it's not neccesarily a pistol sight but do you have a 510c to compare this size to? I'm excited to try one of these on my PCC and am curious about how close they are in size of the window.....

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Curious as to your view on enclosed emitter Red Dot Sights? Do you see any benefit? Have you run into issues with emitter fouling? What size fit do you prefer for competition?
    Thanks

  • @michall3918
    @michall3918 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You say you go through a lot of optics. Do you honestly treat them roughly like rack with them and stuff(didnt notice that in your vids but maybe you do in other training) or is it just high round count? If so, any idea around what round count they fail? I can accept that in time any optic will fail but i do have a Leupold DPP with about 30k still going strong on my training gun. Anyway ofc it is not a huge issue for you since you can get that replaced by manufacture warranty probably.

    • @mikef1949
      @mikef1949 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      High round count shooters tend to go through a lot of optics. The SRO is the most durable Comp optic, the sigs tend to have a shorter life but good warranty.

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      30k is a good amount. After trying most brands, I average about 10-20k before I kill an optic. All companies seem to have great warranties though
