Yup this review has many false claims. It doesnt have 2.1 so its not future proof. He didnt mention anything about how to avoid burnin that by default every 4h screen will start doing it and shuts off even if you are using it. You can set it to 20h but that will cause burnin issue even faster.
When 1440 p is considered “not sharp”…. Smh. Btw the font question with the triangular pixel layout is no longer an issue, font set for Windows corrects this.

Yeah so this video is wildly incorrect, neither model has a HDMI 2.1 port. They’re both HDMI 2.0, meaning 100hz limit over HDMI. Although you CAN to 144hz at 1440p, if you’re a console only player. DP 1.4 enables the full 165hz on the DWF.
@@RedCdot the cable spec supports it, wether the xbox lets you actually output 120hz is up to the Xbox, because you can’t force display outputs on the consoles.
@@poison7512 HDR1000 is now fixed with new firmware M3B104, so DWF is a clear winner over DW with low input lag, same HDR quality and the ability to get further better with firmware updates.
@@mavg4271 I would go for significantly lower input lag over 10hz. Bought my DWF two weeks back, my only concern was HDR1000 mode accuracy which is finally fixed. Not able to do firmware updates on DW model is a big let down.

@@theodoroskolios3349 because some monitors need an update? The AW2721D that I have has an issue that is fixed in a firmware revision, but I can’t fix it without sending it off to Dell. Being able to update the monitor ourselves is a HUGE plus. Just because it isn’t needed on every monitor doesn’t mean that it isn’t a needed feature.

Lol I understand you gotta throw the Asus PA32DC out there because it is absolutely amazing, but $3,500 msrp for a monitor is baffling when the AW3423DW was $1,300 msrp the AW3423DWF is even cheaper at $1,100. The PA32DC is 4k though.
@@velez910 It means that it has coverage of colours all the colours inside of a gamut and some outside of the same gamut, the different colour gamuts have ranges of colours that they are targeting. They are by no means all the colours that a person can see nor all the colours that some modern displays can output.
This model doesn't support Gsync, yet you show a sticker showing "Gsync" on the back of another monitor in your video or did you pit the sticker odn there? This creates confusion
hell no thats why they removed the gsync ultimate in the dwf because realistically those who have the dwf, have a insane pc. the gsync ultimate is really needed if you cant go up 90 frames or else you see a lot of screen tearing. obviously a 4090 can go over 90 fps with any game out there so youre good no need for gsync ult on a 4090
Hey Best Choice, do you know if DWF variant supports G-sync? Does it support it with HDR on at the same time? It's not on the official support list, but as we know - the list is not always up to date and accurate.
DWF lacks g-sync module and has free sync premium. Because of lack of gsync module the monitor has one less fan, making it quieter. Upgradeable firmware is another benefit of the DWF over the DW aside from cost

@@Saisei87 Nah even with DP if it's with HDR it's capped at 100hz, but you can go higher using nvidia panel and creating a custom resolution if you want 10bit colors. You can do native res 165hz with 8bit with dithering though which is good enough, difference is barely noticeable.
I believe the claims of fonts looking non-sharp or blurry are true, but it looks perfect to me and I’m trying as hard as I can to find a reason to return this.
@@0121Scout0121 I'm also look for reasons to return it. So far only one reason found, turning on HDR in games makes it looks super washed out. The fix is turning on Console Mode and Source Tone Mapping on. That fixes it but why doesn't it work properly without those setting? Might still keep it and hope they'll fix it with a firmware update.
@@KGBos Watching LTT's video on this monitor clarified it for me. Apparently the lack of a G-Sync Ultimate module means the monitor is also missing NVIDIA's HDR tuning in games and we'd need to activate those settings you mentioned to "fix" the issue

You forgot a very important point. With the new model you can make a software update, which does not work on the predecessor.

Major difference between the 2 monitors is the input lag, the newer model has like 50% better input lag.
*When not using the GSync module. Also the DW works properly with HDR.. the DWF doesn't.. ask me how I know..

It's actually 1440p 120hz for HDMI 2.0 because it does that with my lg c1 lol it's only 100hz due to 3440x1440p

has g sync but not g sync ultimate .Ultimate has DW and i think only with this can use hrd1000 for gaming
