I had an og xbox when I was a kid that you would have to just spam the eject button till it booted. Idk how I figured that out but sometimes after school I would sit for ages spamming the eject button. One day it just stopped working. Was a sad day indeed. Now I have one a bought on ebay that I got running again with help from your videos and others. Went way over budget and still needs work but worth it.
@TheOriginalVersatile it's a ps4 pro. I think it's a gpu issue. White & black checkerboarding when trying to render textures. Doesn't do it when checking pre-rendered stuff like maps or menu's. Another tech said it was an hdmi connector, they replaced it and issue is still there
Can you please help. I have a crystal xbox and have replaced all the capacitors including the clock as its a v1.6. The console makes a small buzz noise as soon as you press power or eject. Any advise would be great. Love the channel
Heating and cooling changes the properties of the components. For instance, heating a capacitor will raise its capacitance temporarily, so that's a useful diagnostic method if you have failing capacitors.
I have a 1.4 that had trace rot, it had the classic issues of powering up with the eject button, powering down randomly, etc. Once that was fixed, the console powers up and down normally and the eject button works. I also replaced all the caps of the board for good measure. BUT the console has no audio, the boot animation is skipped and it hangs when loading games. Do you have any idea what could be the issue? Thank you. Your videos are amazing
I have a 1.0, classic, two broken traces and it turns on instantly, traces repaired and working, then like two months ago gets back with coma, it turns on normal, only green screen but no video, can't be bios or eeprom cause i replaced them just to check this failure with parts of other xbox working good and i tried too with modchip, same issue, somebody has this problem or a solution for this problem?, I repeat is not coma, bios is working correctly and the modchip too
I wish you explained more why you do the things you do and how it works. Like heating the caps and in an earlier vid you froze components. You never explained this, how and why it works?

I personally replaced all my caps, including the power supply. Not sure why the guy wouldn’t want the entire board recapped.
Sometimes it's money or time.
Man I wish I was as cool as you, dope stuff!

Very faint buzz sound as soon as I press power or eject
Hi. Can You explain please how it works or why the consolé turns on when You heated the power supply caps.never Heard of that tip.

Dying hard drive or DVD drive if you haven't bypassed it

Yea, I find as time goes on it seems to be happening more often with these older devices.
