I'm curious. I didn't uninstall the update but patched the registry with RpcAuthn on both the host machine and the shared computer. After applying and restarting, still nothing. I then went to the shared computer to setup printers through my shared network in devices and printers and selected the host computer. There within was the two printers. I'm unsure if they were there the entire time. Was getting the 0x0000011b error though after updating.
Another example of why windows updates are more trouble than they are worth. As I have said before, the 3/4 times my pc had to be reset to factory conditions was all down to failed/issues with windows updates, not viruses or malware etc. Someone needs to come up with software so that only stable and correct windows updates are ever installed.

What people don't understand is that Microsoft Windows is the virus/malware by itself, literally spy software. It is inferior to Linux and/or any Unix-like OS in every technical way.
this is a temporary solution to the problem. Now 10.2021 and we have new updates (for win8, win10) with new KB500.... numbers with same Shared Printer Problems.

Also command line wusa /uninstall /KB:5005565 and also DISM commands did not let me uninstall this update (I get a message it is a required update and can't be uninstalled). I ended up doing a fresh windows install and then I had the ability to remove and block the update.
i think its not solved the problem. I removed it, then next month will download automatic again that kb. And the block again. I curious why microsoft dont publish this issues

Why the stupid Microsoft is delivering many updates week by week. Don't they have any other better business to employ their manpower ? One a OS is working, it should work permanantly without any updates. That's stability.

I don't know why, this update isn't showing in Microsoft Hide/Show program after I uninstall it. I can't hide this update.
In my case, the update is listed as installed but seems like when i click to uninstall it doesn't show.

Shared USB printer stopped working but the KB50005565 is NOT in the list of installed updates. OS is Win10IoT.

same old pattern from Microsoft, brake the old OS just before they release a new version so people go get a new computer with the new OS on it.
