      I could use this on Win7 when its end of life runs out. After you accept Win10 updates your spyware will be activated by Windows again. I often store data on memory chips and in separate partition so I don't have to worry about malware. Cheers gov.

    More than five years I have struggled a lot to fix my PC, even I lost some videos and a lot of files I had saved. I tried some maintenance but I got no solution even my window installation was corrupted and previously I have also lost two laptops b/c of these but now b/c of your support and other similar tutorials, I have learned how to fix all the problems and my PC is clean and faster than I expected. Thank you for all your support and good advice's. GBU!

    Ten minutes to convey:
    "Don't login to your PC as an administrator, unless you have a specific task that requires administrator privileges. Use a standard user account for your day-to-day activities."
    It is sane advice.
    Note that even if you are lazy and always login as an administrator, you will still get the "UAC" prompt if you try to install software that seeks administrator privileges -- you just won't have to put in your password (you will only have to click "Yes" to approve the task).
    In Windows 10, running as an administrator does not give you direct access to privileged tasks. It just makes it easy for your shell (your login) to achieve elevated privileges, which will allow you to wreck your system.

    • @NoEgg4u
      @NoEgg4u 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Angel Wyngs I always close my eyes, count to ten, and then cross the street. I never had a problem.
      Those "look both ways" warnings are for paranoid people.
      And, yes, Angel Wyngs, I know that you are trolling for attention. Did my reply give you the "kick" that you so crave?

    • @NoEgg4u
      @NoEgg4u 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Angel Wyngs, instead of deleting your moronic comment (the comment that my above "close my eyes" comment was replying to), a real man would own his post and admit that he wrote a moronic comment.

    I'm curious as to why you created your own Admin account as opposed to using the one built into Windows? What are the advantages of using your own user created Admin account over the built in one for this purpose?

    • @NazmusLabs
      @NazmusLabs 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The built in admin account has compatibility problems with some newer apps, I believe. Also Microsoft store and Xbox game pass might not work properly. But Allah (S.W.T.) knows best.

    Great video for the average windows user. A small percentage of home users set a basic account on theyer pc's..
    Almost half of them does not use any av software beside windows defender.
    All tweeks you have done between 5:48 - 6:02 are deleted by the system with first update. Basically you should redo this procedure after every update of windows.
    And there is no official way to block telemetry on win 10 permanently.

    That's what I did too! I created Admin account, and set it aside... then, created a user account(non-admin access) and logged into User account to use computer for general tasks. Admin account is set aside for installations and other critical tasks, maintenance etc.,
    Such smartness. Much Knowledge. Wow wow me! :)

    I use Noscript, it prevents a world of pain. The main way people get infected computers is opening email attachments from people they probably don't know, "upgrading" software they already use from dodgy sites instead of the developer's site, "Flash" being a serious culprit, and generally being careless.

    Hi Brian, I added the extra account and then swapped the Standard and Admin around as per your video, and all seemed well. When I later went to edit a file, I could open it, but it wouldn't allow me to "Save as". I eventually solved this by going back into the new Admin account, then Manage Ransomeware Protection, and then "Allow an app through controlled folder access". Once I had added Affinity Publisher, and then returned to my standard account, there was no further problems with saving these documents. I suspect I will be doing this again with other apps.

    1: Uninstall Wind-Blows
    2: Unplug / disconnect from any and all networks
    3: Physically DESTROY any (e-)SATA / USB etc ports on the machine.
    4: Disconnect any internal optical drive (CD / DVD etc)
    Anyone that get's infected AFTER that needs to take one final step to fully protect their system
    5: Permanently remove any / all power inputs to the machine at the same time physically destroying the corresponding power input socket on the machine.
    It's worth noting that after step 5, the frame rate on ANY game will be significantly affected to the point that the game becomes unplayable.

    This is unnecessary. Until Windows XP, people were neglecting to use the Standard (Limited) User account and logging on as an Administrator just to use their PC - a security risk. So in Vista, the UAC was implemented, which basically made the Administrator account function as a Standard (Limited) User account and display a popup every time Administrator privileges were required. This prevented the user from having to log into the Administrator account every time Administrator privileges were required, which is what this video appears to be advocating.

    This is how macOS works! Thanks for this tutorial, but may I ask why don't you just use the built-in administrator account instead of creating a new one?

      the point is to use the administrator account to make a safegaurd for your other account so malaware cannot download programs

    When I have created this additional account for myself, I then have to set everything up again for this new account in terms of design, favorite programs, games, desktop widgets and little helpers, e.g. "Translucent taskbar", wallpaper etc. as I did on my first original account also set up or is everything automatically taken over by the system or is there a trick for it?
    [Sorry, English isn`t my main, but I guess you know what I try to say.]

    Britec, thank you for the video! Instead of creating a new Admin account, why not just activating the already existing Administrator account and protect it with a password? The standard user could then enter this Administrator's password to validate a new install or system change. I appreciate your answer. Thanks again!

    Sweet thank you! You can also turn on in apps change the app install to windows store apps only(recommend)then you get a uac prompt Everytime it tries to install software. And you can click install anyway if it's legit.
