How to fix Kia Cerato Steering Knocking noise

- Hello,
In this video, I am demonstrating a repair done by me on a Kia Cerato steering coupler bushing replacement.
Kia and Hyundai manufactures using same type of bushing in electronic power steering system.
So the job is pretty much similar and just the removal procedure and approach is different to car to car.

Just FYI. I was able to replace the coupling without disconnecting most of the connectors. I only removed the connectors to the steering controller and removed it. Then I removed the 2 nuts that hold the steering column but only loosened the 2 bolts at the front end of the bracket. The steering column lowered enough for me to remove the steering motor and replace it in that position. I did remove the drivers seat which allowed me to lie on the floor. All up the job took 1.5 hours. Thanks again for your great help.

On my 2012 Kia forte it's making that clicking sound when I turn the steering wheel but it is also throwing a light on the dash that says EPS but I'm hoping when I replace that little part I'm hoping that the light will go off
I think with the warning light you have another issue. Noise will go away with the bushing change.
@@PrimeTechauto I never replaced my bushing yet on my 2012 Kia forte

@@PrimeTechauto Yeah I'm going to replace it do you know what size of hex head I need to take and disassemble the motor to put the new bushing in thank you so much for taking the time out of your morning to reply to my comments
