- 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands is an awesome off-road vehicle on a budget! Review.
This time I got the opportunity to review the new Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and find out if it's as good as they say. I took in some deep mud areas and of course in normal roads.
Watch out George Lucas - Sam Carlegion is the new Cinematographer in town! Check out the drown footage of the mud running and the matching dramatic music. Sam great review, nice sport SUV, will sure be a big hit for Ford. This Baby Bronco is a nice offering for those that have been over inundated with CR-V / RAV4 offerings. Interesting vehicle for the money.

Great video. I must say, if you put a Land Rover Defender "Sport" badge, I think everyone would belive its an LR product. It seems just as capable as the Defender (I havent driven either), just more compact, half price and likely a lot more reliable and easy to service. Interior for sure is not as nice, but its a rugged car - you want a simple interior.
Wow. Ford was very smart to make this. I can see them selling these like hotcakes. Cant believe its based on the boring as hell Escape.

Why would ford not have the rear seat move forward and back like the escape? That bronco sport is very impressive off road. Have watched many videos on it.
That seems like a neat feature. Ford SHOULD make that available.
I'd also like to see towing capacity similar to the Escape and Maverick...3500-4000lb.

I'm actually considering a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and the 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Without being biased.. which would you recommend in terms of reliability and maintenance costs?
I choose the Bronco because of the 2.0 Lt Turbo engine save me more gas compared to a 6 cyl engine. But lets see I have to drive it a bit more first. either way if gas prices are not the issue, Both SUV are very capable off road.
Why does the camera turn on and off?

Crosstrek got updated for 2018, with Dual X-Mode being part of that, then got an available 2.5L for 2021.
This crossover is one of the more capable offroad, on similar level of Cherokee Trailhawk. Most crossovers don't have 4WD and a locker. My 2016 2.slo/CVT Crosstrek can get ridiculous MPG though...over 40MPG.
The FIS and platform kind of limits possible tire size, articulation, and rebuildability, so the Bronco Sport is no rockbuggy like a Wrangler can become.
It needs siped mudders, steel bumpers, and a winch, IMO.
I'd like one, if they can work out the teething issues, and bump the towing capacity up to at least 3500lb.

That is a shame Ford sold Land Rover to Tata. Instead it should converge technology and make off-roaders more affordable and reliable. Anyone can see this vehicle resembles some of Land Rover shapes.

seen one of these on the road yesterday. couldn't believe how ugly it was. looked like it was made for a grandma to do her shopping.
The styling is average yes, but the off roading is worthy of the Bronco name.. I'm thinking ford did not go crazy with styling because of the mid sized Bronco. They wanted the Bronco to carry the styling overall

Good vid, but I disagree wholeheartedly. The Sport Bronco is undersized and underwhelming. The full-size Bronco is the only Bronco worthy of the name.

You might want to check out some more videos of the sport in moab Utah. It beats some wranglers with ease a few times. Kinda funny. Yeah the sports styling in so so, but it does deserve the Bronco name plate.
The Sport will probably end up being a better Bronco than the Bronco II.
