This is my process for making "Jurassic Park" style amber "fossils" with insects inside. I used a large crane fly, which is what was used in the "Jurassic Park" props.

In Dutch they call them actually "langpootmug" what's basically translated into lang leg mosquito.
In a way, crane flies have a similar shape, however, they are a lot larger,
so I find it really nice.,.
Still, it's strange that so many don't understand that it isn't an actual mosquito.,.

1. Next time as a suggestion it would be better to use orange food colouring to make it look more like the lovie but this is still really good.
