      Does it work for residue that is very old and dried up?

    • @benitoloco892
      @benitoloco892 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jaynikk758 It did for me. Granted, I sprayed a good amount and used a razor from a box cutter to get the residue off.

      @@jaynikk758 Yes it does and it did for me when I removed old tint film. Put a decent amount of the solution onto the window surface, wait a minute or two, then scrape it off with a razor carefully.

    This is excellent. I just did this on my driver's window and I used the blade by hand, even though I had a handle. Shuda looked here first. I have to do the pssngr's window tomorrow, so now I'll be a pro. BTW, I had to do this on my 2013 Lexus because I moved to Alberta where you have to pass this insane mechanical inspection to register an out-of-province vehicle. My vehicle passed mechanically but tinted front side windows are not allowed here (didn't know). And, BTW2, a local glass company wanted $300 to do both windows. TH-cam to the rescue.

When I went a spayed the windows with dishwashing liquid and water, I then found out that the tint must have peeled off a single layer. I went to use a clean razor blade and peel the rest came off really easy while keeping it soaked. Thanks.

    I used the Johnson’s yellow stuff mixed 1:1 with water and had good results in a house window removing film adhesive. Worked best when I wetted a section down, and also wiped the path I was scraping, again, just prior. Gotta keep it covered in the solution for it to lift off readily.

    Chris, I bought an OLD olds, 2001 Alero, and the tinted windows were my 1st "gotta go" endeavor. (I worked for the best tint shop in town for 10 years, ran shop.. didn't tint) I didn't use heat gun, used ammonia & razor blade. Don't know what kind of monster tint this is, but I only achieved 2 clear windows. NOTHING I've tried since has taken the adhesive or the tacky tint shards off. Any suggestions ??
