Realizing that we are Edmund is heartbreaking! Edmund is selfish, and everything he does betrays those trying to help him. Yes, we are Edmond.
This is the 36th testimony in the atheist converts to Christianity series (which has a collective view total of approx 2 Million, so thank yall!)

"Don't cry, dear! Of course you ain't prostitute. You are the loyal wife of nameless trinity of the Husband."
      Here is Christ's question,
Mathew 15: 3: "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Malachi 2: 1-4: "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and ye shall be taken away with it. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant may be with Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts." (ASV)
A women say "the Husband has no name". Another ones say "the Husband has many names". Some of women "love the Husband in all his manifestations" like: neighbour, taxi driver, coworker, and so forth. Some women in a Husband-fearing way call him "H-D"...
But, all of those prostitutes say "the Husband is the only". Their prostitution has created another women saying "there is no Husband at all".
Then they even talk about "trinity of the Husband" and they are not against "the Son taking the Husband's place".
In the same way religious prostitutes try to hide their disgusting fornication with different gods.
Furthermore, a correct pronunciation of the Name is unknown now. This is the “loyalty” of traitors!
Here is the God's word spoken through Moses,
Deuteronomy 11: 16-17: "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you."
So, the God says there are other gods, but blind leaders of blind lead people into trap.
Names of an idols/false gods are well known: Zeus, Rempha/Chiun, Aurora, Baal, Moloch and many others.
"Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for.
      "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah).
Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." (KJV)
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers feel so good while righteous people are persecuted.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

No need for a full explanation, just curious about the broad reason…like of your philosophical beliefs, or you start having historical Jesus doubts creep in, or a personal emotional experience, etc. My doubts are usually technical, but I think I’m in the minority and most people’s are emotional.

Focus on the parables with the lens of the sermon on the mount in your mind.
Then go through the Lord’s Prayer line by line … and go back and read all the verses where Christ talks about reconciliation and how often to forgive one another. To reconcile your own sins with others you have hurt.
Adam and Eve refused responsibility for their own disobedience to God. They blamed someone else for their doing what they were asked to do and didn’t seek repentance.

🌴THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought the second and last incarnation of His new and holy name"
(You used to want to rule as kings, and now you have to turn away. Can He lead people down to the eternal abyss? Now, the important thing is that you have to know the spirit of man, and you have to know if what you must enter into; you must talk about entering into life, and how to be truly overcome, and how to obey God completely, how to obey unto death. You may say that you are overcome, but obey In the end, you must have the two aspects of Job's testimony--the testimony of Peter--the ultimate love of God. You must be like Job of his possessions, and was tormented by the sickness of the body, but he did not forsake the name of Jehovah. This is the testimony of Job. When he was crucified and faced his death, he was loved He is still God; he did not think of his own hopes or desire good hopes or luxurious thoughts and he only sought to love God and follow all God's plans: That is the basis you must have before you can be considered a witness, before you can be a man who became perfect after being defeated. God's work today is for our disposition to change and for us to rid ourselves of Satan's influence, to allow us to be born in the land of impurity and thus to rid ourselves of the impurity, to shake off Satan's filth and infection, to turn away this.)
      Almighty God said
You once aspired to rule as kings, and now you must turn away can He lead men down to the eternal abyss? NOW, the IMPORTANT thing is that you MUST KNOW THE SPIRIT OF MAN, and you MUST KNOW WHAT you must ENTER; you need to talk about ENTERING LIFE, and CHANGING DISPOSITION, HOW TO REALLY CONQUER, and HOW TO COMPLETELY FOLLOW GOD, HOW TO FOLLOW UNTIL DEATH. 🏵️
You need to focus on these things, and those that are not realistic or important must first be set aside and let go. Now, you must know how to be defeated, and how people act after they are defeated.. ☀️
You can say you're overpowered, but can you FOLLOW UNTIL death? You MUST FOLLOW UNTIL THE LAST if there is any HOPE, and you SHOULD NOT LOSE FAITH in GOD regardless of the situation. Ultimately, you MUST GET TWO ASPECTS of TESTIMONY: JOB'S TESTIMONY---OBEDIENCE UNTIL DEATH; and PETER'S TESTIMONY---the ULTIMATE LOVE of GOD. You have to be LIKE JOB: He lost all his possessions, and was tormented by physical pain, but he DID NOT FORSAKE JEHOVAH'S NAME. This is the TESTIMONY of JOB. PEDRO was able to LOVE GOD to DEATH.🙏🌹
When he was CRUCIFIED and FACED his DEATH, he still LOVED GOD; He DOESN'T THINK OF HIS OWN WISHES or DESIRES GOOD HOPE or GREAT ATTITUDE and he ONLY WANTS to LOVE GOD and FOLLOW ALL THE PLANSof GOD: THAT IS THE BASIS YOU NEED TO GET BEFORE YOU CAN BE CONSIDERED WITNESSING, BEFORE YOU BECOME A PERFECT PERSON AFTER CONQUERING.🌷🙏🌹
Now, if people really know their own Spirit and status, will they still want hopes and hopes? This is what you should know: GOD'S WORK NOW is SO THAT OUR DISPOSITION WILL CHANGE and we CAN REMOVE SATAN'S INFLUENCE FROM OURSELVES, to allow us to be born in the land of impurity and thus remove the impurity from ourselves, to DESTROY THE DIRT and SATAN'S INFLUENCE, to AVOID it. 🙏
From "The WORD Appears in the Flesh" Holy book Fulfillment of (John 1:1) and (Ezekiel 2:9-10), (Rev. 19:9,13)
📥 Christ's fulfillment of His establishment of the kingdom that was brought down from heaven that carved the holy, and totality and disposition of His name "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐. The prophecy He fulfilled "And I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and even the power of death will not prevail against it." (Mat. 16:18). ... And the Epistle to the church of Philadelphia "I will make him who overcomes a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never be removed from it. I will engrave on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God , the NEW JERUSALEM that will come down from heaven. I will also engrave on him my NEW NAME. ... And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this : From now on, blessed are those who serve the Lord until death!" "Truly," said the Spirit. "They will rest from their labor; for their works will follow them." (Rev. 14:13). ... "And I was told the number of those who were sealed--144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel." They SAY TOGETHER, "SALVATION is from the LAMB, and to our God who is ON THE THRONE!" One of the elders asked me, "Who are the people dressed in white, and where did they come from?" "I don't know," I replied. "You know. ." And he said to me, "They are the ones who prevailed despite severe persecution. They cleansed and made their clothes white in the blood of the Lamb. Because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will be their PASTOR. He will bring them to the fountains of life-giving water; and God will wipe the tears from their eyes." They triumphed over the Devil through the blood of the Lamb and their testimony to the truth; they did not regret their lives. (Rev 7:4,10,13-14,17 ).... They sing a new song before the Throne, and the four living creatures, and the twenty-four elders. No one understands that song but the 144,000 redeemed in the world. This men who had no relation to women. They followed the Lamb wherever he went. They were redeemed from all mankind. They never lied them any fault (Rev. 14:3-5).

I was an arrogant doubter, some people came into my life and made me think. I asked Jesus for forgiveness and to come to me. The next day I felt different and started to read the Bible with a different understanding. Some things happened to me, a new carer became close, she told me 'To everything there is a time and a season'. She also told me she had found s brother. One of the very first things I read was Ecclestiastes with that same quote. I was chatting to a Jewish friend online and mentioned I was reading Isaiah, he told me he was also reading Isaiah. He also told me i was his brother. These things were a sign from God. I now read the Bible with a fresh understanding and an excitement. Videos online like this are also a great source of information. I suppose i was similar to her, arguing ( online mostly) in atheist vs theist groups. A toxic environment. I have since left such places. I have a fresh relationship with God/Jesus and a new outlook on life. Btw the three signs fom Him, the Ecclestiastes message, the Isaiah message and the two friends calling me their brother (mutually exclusively, they couldnt have known) happened very recently. Its all fresh and exciting . ❤

When I was a child, I tried to read my Bible, KJV was all I had & I couldn't understand it!
Consider: at that age, the only books I had read were 1/4 inch thick children story books - to try to read a 3" thick book . . .
Over all these years, I've come to discover, the first mistake people make is assuming they can read the Bible like any other human book . . . another realization is that many people never come to understand that it is not a collection of "short stories" bound together in one volume . . . it is all 1 brilliant drama of lives, we can find ourselves within the flaws & mistakes of those who lived 5,000 years ago - then you read wise King Solomon telling you, " Nothing new exists under the sun!"
Wait. What? Everything that can be done & experienced has been done, 3,000 years ago when he wrote that!!!
That's like seeing the grand canyon for the first time & feeling so tiny & insignificant !!!
Throughout my life, with different translations, I did succeed in reading all the OT, got bored reading the same thing from within each of the 4 Gospels, such redundancy, so I would skip over parts. At some point I acquired an audio video DVD of the 4 Gospels, put it on frequently as background while doing household chores . . . details started jumping out to me, I started paying attention, the 4 Gospels are not the same, why, what's different, I followed along with my Bible.
I was shocked to read in several places, Jesus himself saying that those with eyes to see & ears to hear will not see or hear, lest they turn to Me & I would heal them - WHAT? Is that saying, purposely not wanting them to come to understand to be saved? And haven't I read that somewhere else before? (took me a long time to find it in Isaiah & Psalms, maybe Ezekiel too) That scared me, reminded me of how I would fall asleep reading the Bible as a child & not understanding it, did God not want me to see & hear to understand so that I wasn't really saved?
Finally started reading it more intently & discovered Luke also continued his narrative with Acts & the story just ended . . .
Paul has a distinct mythology to his writing, 13 letters, challenging . . . I should have started with John, but then I would have been too soft to grasp Paul, then Peter is brash & direct, packs a punch in comparison, Jude is just, 'here it is, read it . . . get it, got it, good . . . now do it.' & James, knock out, he t-bones you, not sure if you should be terrified or thankful that he knocked you out of the way of the on-coming traffic!!!
Each of them has such obvious personalities - no denying that these people are REAL - the Bible is no fantasy fairy-tale, no sci-fi classic, Hollywood has yet to produce any movie that brings to the screen, the mental images that the Bible puts into your mind as you read it, you can almost be pulled back in time like you were there watching the events unfold before you.
Then Revelation . . . every phrase, nuance, scenario, is drawn from some area of some Old Testament event, to help you better comprehend the intended meaning, it is the master jigsaw puzzle, the master tapestry of how all our lives are intertwined in & amongst one another, whether opening a door for a stranger with their hands full, or helping a child reach the drinking fountain cause mama has a baby in her arms, or a years long friendship, rivalry of neighbors keeping their lawns mowed & buying better tools & that tapestry is most likely just as beautiful on the stringy backside as the splendid scenery depicted on the front! To finish Revelation, makes you want to reread the OT again to discover more nuggets of gold hidden in Revelation to open it up even more!!! Its incredible!!!
No, the Bible is indeed "LIVING" & dare not be read as you would read any other book - it reads you!!!
Enjoy your journey & God bless you, till the time comes for us to know each other when we meet!!!
THAT is what calling someone 'brother' means, my friend . . . only, I'm your sister!!!

When I was an atheist I told my Christian friend (who I thought wasn't very smart) that the gods were a human creation not the other way around. He responded with "so that would mean that god is fake right? Just a man made fiction? But isn't the same true of morality? If morality is a creation of man then it's not real, it's just a fiction. But why don't you live that way?" It took a few years of these words sitting in my mind before they led me to Christ.

@seraeirian2 Where does the moral ought of "well-being" come from? Without a metaphysical basis, it's completely arbitrary. If you say it's immoral to violate another person's well-being, and I say that watching people suffer is fun and my enjoyment is all that matters then on what basis would you be right and me wrong? Your preferences? The preferences of the masses, which would be might makes right? Your man made moral framework is a fiction, so why should anyone adhere to it? It's not that atheists can't behave morally, it's that they can't justify their morality. I wish you'd preach what you practice; that we are more than meaty bags of protoplasm floating around as a cosmic accident in a purposeless universe. Your appeal to morality is proof that you can't suppress God's law that's been placed upon your heart. Romans 2:15

    • @Josh-fg5if
      @Josh-fg5if 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@ji8044 To answer your last question first; I'd say that the reason that there is a universal understanding of morality is because God created everyone with the law written on their hearts. Romans 2:15
If God is timeless as the God of the bible is, then his judgement does not need to be bound by time either. In another words he doesn't have to judge based on past actions alone, he could judge based on future actions, and he could even intervene to prevent actions if it's part of his plan. In the case of the flood he saw how wicked and corrupt man had become and could see where it was leading, and so he choose to restart with a small group of people who he saw were more righteous. If the babies killed in the flood were righteous then God merely relocated their souls to be with him, so saved them from torment on earth. If they were in the future going to be wicked then God prevented the suffering that they would have caused. It may also be worth mentioning that some Christians view the flood story as allegory. Personally I think it is a historical myth based on the actual flood that happened at the end of the Pleistocene Epoch.

I have slept like a baby for the past 6 years . . . I envision the description of ?Ezekiel? where he describes the throne room with the train of God filling the entire space, so encompassing that you can't even see where His face is so way up there . . .
so, in comparison, like a tiny mouse, I start climbing up through the folds of His train & He feels me as I progress, giggles as if I'm tickling Him, until I'm utterly exhausted & He reaches His hand for me to jump into, to place me on his shoulder, I whisper in His ear & play in His beard, then I settle in that "sweet spot", the indention by your shoulder just below the collar bone, on His left side, experiencing His heart beat, His breathing, lulled to sleep . . .
I know that sensation you are describing, not too warm, not to cold, such sensuous softness & comfort, almost floating, but not, a swaddling ??? . . . is there a way to imagine or to possibly describe, total bliss?

Clive Staples Lewis is a great author. Starting as a Christian believer, he then turned atheist. After fighting in the trenches during WW1, he returned to his faith in Christ. C.S. Lewis is NOT an easy read. But, if one reads with determination, one will see how he proves Christ is exactly what the Scripture claims. Thus his book 'Mere Christianity". If you know a "learned professional" who thinks he/she is too intelligent to believe in Christ, not only "Mere Christianity", but also the other 7 short books in his Signature Series.

Some of Lewis is an easy read. The Chronicles of Narnia is a delightful series of seven children's stories that are still good reading for adults. I know, I was already a grown up when I became a Christian but still found these books wonderful "unless you become as children...". But I also find Mere Christianity to be an easy read. It was originally a series of broadcast talks on the radio during WW2 aimed at explaining basic Christianity to the average man on the street. Have we dumbed people down so much that this is now difficult theology? The analogies he uses make it quite accessible. His book 'Miracles' is a bit of a difficult read though. He also wrote a three book 'space trilogy' my favorite of those is 'That Hideous Strength'.

BTW I was an atheist concert to Christ myself, with a Damascus Road type conversion though not as dramatic as St Paul's. this was just over 46 years ago
are you interested in making a video about me??
and what helped drive me away from Christ ( at the end of that same year, 1978) who i met in person, who was not merely a doctrinal proposition or merely even a truth minus the personal one on one relationship the Spirit offers,
what helped drive me from Him was the thought of C S Lewis
striving to keep the commandments because they are as CSL said the "compulsory questions" in an exam is in fact apostasy, forsaking Christ for the law, seeking to perfect oneself in the flesh ( ie by one's own willpower and self effort. See romans and galatians
and it will never work for trying to keep the commandments will sitr up sin and make it worse (Romans chapter 7)
it also tears a person in two and a kingdom divided cannot stand
moreover those who walk in the flesh CANNOT submit to the law for their minds are set on the flesh. try and force this and you will have forsaken christ even further

( see"JESUS SAVES") 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; Philippians 4:1. The Apostle Paul said in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek".
This praise resounds throughout the earth: "Jesus Christ is Lord and God. Only He saves". He testified: ''I and my Father are One" John 10:30 (*see also 31-42).
2 Samuel chapter 22:verse 50 "Therefore I will praise you, O Lord, out of the countries, and I will praise your name."
      JESUS SAVES
God the Son (Jesus Christ) has given us the gospel to share with the world. Mark 16:15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
How can we hear it? Scripture tells us. Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (We receive the "word" in many ways. The "Word" is Jesus Christ!); John 1:1-5. God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible.
Isaiah chapter 7: verse 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name "Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28:6
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3: 23
" For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"1 Corinthians 15: 3 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
***BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast."
Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. We believe in Him, trusting His death and shedding of His blood as payment for ALL our sins and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day! John 20:24-31; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 above.
WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH
Romans 10: 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8

Although I was never an atheist ( had too much belief in God for that) I did go through a period of time where I thought that Christianity is the white man's religion. and all Christian are hypocrites. Then One night I heard a documentary where this journalist talked about meeting a Christian missionary' who said that before he became a Christian he was an angry and mean man. But Christ changed this. And I decided I wanted that too. Just obeying the laws or social convention does not in itself make you good or change your mind and heart. Only God can do that.

AI summary: The video is about an atheist Harvard student, Jordan, who converted to Christianity after reading C.S. Lewis' essay "The Poison of Subjectivism". Jordan was searching for answers to her moral questions and found them in Lewis' essay, which argues that morality is objective and comes from God. Jordan was initially resistant to Christianity, but she was eventually convinced by the truth of Lewis' arguments and the love of Jesus Christ.

What saved me was Jesus. Looking at His words, they're the only comprehensible moral philosophy ever made, in their simplest terms. And He didn't give any passes to Homosexuality or Divorce. I once did homosexual things as a kid, and I knew it was wrong from that very moment. And my mom divorced my dad, spiraling my life into a lot of chaos and anguish. You'll never be able to convince me otherwise. I know it's wrong, from having hurt my own conscience doing it and from being hurt by divorce. Especially when I discovered the depths of romantic love--through exploring an imaginary lover--I realized that this was the true embodiment of what sex was made for. And only that.

      THE GOOD NEWS
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.."John 14.6 .
Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless body and blood could pay our sins price. The Savior was born to die for our sins so we could live through Him. 1 John 1:8-10; 2:1-2

THE PAYMENT BY HIS BLOOD FOR ALL SINS EVER!
"And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Hebrews 9:22
Romans 5:8 " But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, now justified by his blood, we will be saved from wrath through him."
“For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Matthew 26: 28 "For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." ( life is in the blood. He had to pay with His life)
God knew you before the world was made! Ephesians 1:1-14. Prayer goes out for you and those here. A Crown in Heaven awaits all who share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that saves a soul.

Believing and feeling are two different things. Our culture and sin teaches us to chase highs - great big bursts of ecstasy, feelings of fulfillment after longing, addictions. Today I get little moments of light, where I can see God's goodness, when before I never would have seen it. I follow Him and pray constantly. And when I do life His way, everything is logical and I know my soul is in a safe place. It took me years to feel something, because I had years of abuse to myself and sin to undo. Keep reading, keep praying. God's way is best. But faith is about clinging to Him even when your feelings tell you to keep seeking.

Great that she has found God, but I just want to stress to those listening that it is not a question about being good. It says in God word that ONLY God is good. The thing we need to realize is that we are all sinners and need God's forgiveness through the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made. If we accept that then God's Holy Sprit will work in us to help us do those things that are good in the sight of God. But these "good" works in no wise make us right before God, only belief in what Christ did for us.

I think morality is ultimately subjective, but that does not mean I can’t claim moral high ground over someone with a different moral standard. The idea that objective morals only come from God has been rebutted many times by sound philosophical arguments. If you need objective morality in your life, I would also argue the bible is not a good place to get them from. Christ, maybe but definitely not the bible. If you do, I would argue many other religions can claim the moral high ground over what’s in the bible.

"shove them back" - a verbatim quote from Mere Christianity is will of the flesh, legalism, hypocrisy and a futile waste of time.
and also "let's pretend" Lewis' claim that one grows by pretending, is in fact the hypocrisy it looks like at first glance.

C S Lewis is a false teacher when it comes to Christian living, for he forsook Christ and advocates the same to us in order to perfect himself byu law.

God did not make us to be good. He made us to be loving. Adam and Eve had no idea what good or evil was until their fall. They didn't have to know. Living under the law (or any law) is an attempt to be good, and our attempts to be good are attempts to be independent of God, to not need him. But God did not make us for that. He made us to live in a relationship of unconditional love with ourselves, with him, and with each other.
Trying to be good results in self-righteousness if you succeed (and bitterness and frustration toward those who are less successful). It results in despair if you fail. If we look to Christ and accept the unconditional love of God that is in him, that same unconditional love can be birthed in us as we are made into new creations. Then we will TRULY be good. Not because we try to be good, but because it has become our nature to be good, as it was Adam's and Eve's nature before they knew what good and evil was.

So if you don’t believe on the finished work of Christ and you add to the gospel by trying to keep all of Gods laws then Satan will blind your mind to the truth. How do we know we are Born again ? 1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. What does that mean ? 1 John 3: 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God Our spirit is born again and is saved when we believe on the finished work of Christ . Scriptures tells us to follow the example of our Messiah:
1Pe 2:21 For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps,
Our Messiah says we will be known by our fruits:

Jesus is not the name of the Hebrew Messiah of the Bible!
Let’s see what are the fruits of the followers of Jesus, the Greek Messiah:

Call the Father a Son by the Sacred Name Yahuah and Yahusha; 7th day Sabbath rest; Keep the Torah and Scriptural feasts of Lev 23; eat Kosher; circumcised and wear Tzitzits. (all found in the Scripture)
In other words, if you follow Jesus, you received the one who came in his own name:
Joh 5:43 “I have come in My Father’s Name and you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive.
But if you Follow Messiah Yahusha, you will love Him and guard His Commands:

We believers have been GRAFTED IN TO THE FAITH 👍 Hope you've been taught that 😁
The Savior , a HEBREW quoted from the Bible often and quoted in the Gospels too 👍FACT !
    🤔 A HEBREW and the HEBREW BIBLE/TORAH.
So the Father's name is 👉 "YEHOVAH" which means in HEBREW 👉 HE THAT WAS , HE THAT IS , HE THAT WILL BE 👈
And the Savior's name being a HEBREW 👉 "YESHUA" .... which means .. YE=YEHOVAH , SHUA=SAVES 👉 YEHOVAH SAVES 😁👍... 🤔 ask yourself , IF HIS NAME SHOULD BE KNOWN THROUGH OUT THE WORLD, HOW ? CAN IT 👉 IF YOU DON'T TEACH IT ?????

      THE GOOD NEWS
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.."John 14.6 .
Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless body and blood could pay our sins price. The Savior was born to die for our sins so we could live through Him. 1 John 1:8-10; 2:1-2
JESUS LIVES ! HE IS OUR HIGH PRIEST IN HEAVEN AT THE FATHER'S THRONE ABOVE AND KEEPS US IN THE FAITH BY PLEADING HIS SINLESS SHED BLOOD FOR OUR SINS 24/7 UNTIL WE ARE GLORIFIED AND SINLESS FOREVER! 1 John 1:5-10; 2:1-2; Hebrews 4:9-16; 5:1-10; 9:22 .

"Where does morality come from, if not from God?" It comes from the fact that human beings are a social species. Our survival to raise our offspring, and their survival, depends on mutual co-operation which in turn requires effective recognition of the same general ideals and values. Since our survival is enhanced by this fact, this recognition is selected. In short, we have moral codes because we are evolved to have them. Now, you can say that God ordained that. The problem is that there is no evidence that God did any such thing. There is no evidence for a god at all.

There is no evidence that your interpretation and opinion is objective or correct. It’s just an opinion like anyone else.
But the evidence of God is everywhere and in everything you do, perceive, dream and experience. The fact that you misinterpret it is a common phenomenon, the Bible calls it a blind heart, hardened by sin and many people suffer from it.
Different societies have different standards and values. Some place value in truth, some in honor, others have practiced cannibalism, and it was normal, others even found lying and treachery to be highly valued.
In other words even societies common values are subjective and not necessarily good or moral.
A good example is of course segregation laws, or when slavery was permitted and practiced. So yes, even immoral things can be instituted and legalized in a society.

@@victorvolobuev507 So, you're arguing that God ordained moral rules, but acknowledging that the rules differ between human societies, and that they change. Can you see the problem with that? Sure, my opinion is just an opinion. But I can only testify that I have spent a good chunk of my life looking for evidence of God, and have found none. Perhaps I am mistaken. Or perhaps you are. But I can say this: I would rather a hundred times over doubt and be wrong, than not doubt and act on faith. Faith doesn't seem to move mountains, but it does fly airplanes into buildings, force cyanide on children, and start wars unnumbered. Who was it said, "You will know them by their fruits"?

@@puffin51so you DO see that there are humans that believe it's good to kill and destroy. So why are THEY wrong?
As to no evidence for God, do buildings build themselves? Do paintings paint themselves? Their existence shows there was a builder and painter. Likewise, the creation itself shows there is a Creator.

    • @puffin51
      @puffin51 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@Sundayschoolnetwork There are indeed humans who believe it's good to kill and destroy. Many of those were and are motivated by religious faith. They're wrong because their acts cause damage to the species itself. As for the rest, did the mountain build itself? No, that would be tectonic forces, which are not designers, being mindless. Was a painter necessary to make the grass green, or a hydraulic engineer to build a river valley? Human paint pictures and build things, and we often know who, and when and where. We have no such knowledge of any of the things you attribute to a Creator. (Please note that the folktales of Genesis are not knowledge, although they do contain truth.)

    Double false premise:
1.) I went to my Christian classmates with all the contradictions in the Bible that I marked with post it’s, NO ONE could reconcile my questions. Miss, you don’t appear to be so old that when you were in school the internet wasn’t a thing. There are many apologetic teachers online that love nothing more than to explain apparent biblical contradictions.
2.) as I got older, without God I couldn’t explain where right and wrong came from. And no one could explain it to me.
Again, and I want to be very clear, I am so glad she came to Christ BUT there are entirely utilitarian based reasons as to why something must be described as immoral/absolute wrong.
The Christian aspirational ideal that submits to an absolute morality that acknowledges none can achieve pure living but must still strive and submit one to another and all to the same rules, rules that first must protect themselves then seek the preservation of humanities greatest chances at survival.
Christianity as an evolved system is the most elegant representation of how men may live with each other and achieve the great individual and corporate happiness.
I happen to believe it was God Given but if you can accept the beauty and horror of creation being of spontaneous origin, accepting the absolute morality contained within Christianity and that this works best for the greatest number of people… I mean even Dawkins himself accepts this.

The most despicable regimes behind mass genocide can also argue from a utilitarian ethic… it doesn’t make the argument just or convincing.

@@AspiringChristian first of all, thanks for reading and responding.
Secondly, in a proper debate, every genocide of the last 140 years (almost all by communist regimes) would be torn apart using utilitarian virtue ethics.
In every case, corruption of the highest level is misused along with obvious people who desire power regardless of consequences to others.
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and know that the line of good and evil runs through my own heart.
I’ve just had some decent (Christian) debate and logic teachers who using Aristotelian virtue ethics, you do eventually get to a clone of Christianity without Christ. It doesn’t ever work of course bc the heart of man is deceitful above all things but a concept of ought as CS Lewis puts it can be created from observing the greatest good removing oneself out of the scenario. The greatest good simply being defined as most well adapted flourishing life.
It just so happens that while we can discover these idealized concepts without Christ we certainly cannot live up to them without him (or even with him, as a Christian I still recognize just how short I still fall from living as we ought).
