I am not seeing how you got into the menu where you can add more virtual screens? That is not an option on my iMacPro running horizon workrooms in the computer tab?
Ah, this is cool. In Linux you can do the same thing but for now you need a dummy HDMI to plug into your computer but you can set whatever resolution for it. I have both Linux and a M1 Mac mini so it is good to know I can do this in both of my environments!
Yeah, thanks so much.. it is pretty sweet. I'm going to be doing a similar video, for Linux, but just waiting for my dummy HDMI plug to arrive. What distro do you primarily use? I say primarily because I tend to distro hop, but Nobara is my go to right now.
Hey, just curious what adapter you're using to do the ultrawide in Linux? I can't find one that lists any "ultrawide" resolutions as supported resolutions. Didn't even think to look, when I ordered mine, just assumed it was supported. Thanks.
@@eevnosvr mine are just generic 1080p dummy adapters with no markings I got off of Amazon, the cheapest ones at the time, they came as a pack of 4. In Linux you can actually set any resolution for any monitor but if the monitor can't handle it then it will not display anything. Since they aren't real monitors any dummy adapter will work. Your system will see it as what is rated and set it as that but you can set it to anything.
@@eevnosvr I have done this in a few distros, even haloisi but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have AMD graphics, either integrated or PCIe, and not all of the Steam Deck stuff works yet anyway. All distros will work with the dummy monitors though. If your system doesn't have more than one port for video you can set it up but I couldn't get it to work so I just ended up getting the dummy adapters and I have 6 ports on my system, two on my motherboard and 4 on my graphics card. Two on my graphics card are Display Ports but I only ever use 3 extra monitors anyway.
This is indeed a very useful tool, which in turn makes this video just as useful (and imho, underrated), thanks! With the Q3 out, I have been diving back into Immersed, and this screen resolution problem was genuine (also, switching Immersed resolution configs directly has been buggier than through this Better Display software). A question though: I see that I am on Pro-trial mode right now; will the loss of Pro features affect this workflow?
for me neither - have tried everything up and down and tried also different steps and multiple times the same thing as he is doing. would be nice If he could provide an update on this
Definitely Immersed. The freedom to move the screens wherever I want is huge. Plus the "co-working" aspect is big for me as well, I've met a lot of great people and it really helps to keep you motivated.
There's a way to do this on Windows, as well, but it's very different. The next video will be a tutorial for that!
That’s great, thanks so much for sharing this!
What about retina / crisp fonts? The recording is supper jaggy and readability is bad. Is it as bad when having the headset on?
Great video! Thanks for sharing

they changed it to settings is not called dummy anymore
Do you know a solution?@@arturinrabag5683

This is great. Can you do a video tutorial on how to enlarge fonts and their sharpness with Better Display for Immersed?

You sound like you are at work
Looking forward to a better one with the apple vr headset!
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how that performs and what the compatibility will be like.
looks a bit laggy, this happened because of capturing or indeed it is laggy?
I wan to try it and actually it is posible to use it on clam shell mode?
Is there a way to pull up a virtual keyboard?
would this work on quest 2?
Can you have only the ultra wide monitor?
Is this a Metaquest 3 or pro
Can I use immersed with my iPad Pro … yes can it work with my pre order visitor too ?
I don’t think you’ll be able to use multiple monitors but yes you should be able to mirror the screen through the immersed mobile client
Can I change the fps?
this isn't working for me

To use this on my mac would i need to Q2 or Q3 headset which one are you using I dont really game
It will work with both but it will be much much clearer using the MQ3.
do you find yourself working more in immersed or workrooms ?
Definitely Immersed.
