    You brave girl. I am afraid to put anything in my hair like that.

    Everyone with locs needs a hairdresser sink and chair in their house, I swear, lol, our lives would be sooo much easier, lol. Great video, I make my mix runny enough to put in a squeeze bottle, I use warm water to wet my locs and then I wet and apply it in sections. I even warm my ACV first before mixing it with the clay, dissolves/mixes much easier.

    I used bentonite clay on my locs a few years ago. It was kind of messy but after I rinsed it out and everything my hair felt so light. All that buildup I couldn't see was adding so much weight.

    I recently tried this for the first time.. definitely took out some of my rinse which was fine. Wasn’t feeling myself with red hair anyway. It’s a process but so worth it. Yours look good!

    Sis get out of my head! *XD*
    I just discovered a sample of that same product - that my cousin told me to try - as a facial. *XD*
    I, also discovered some build-up in my locs, and was about to do the "ACV Rinse".
    I'm so glad I saw your video. Going to try this out, BEFORE, I dye it.
    Thanks again, sis! *:)*

    I saw an inflatable sink in another video. You have to lay on the floor but it has an lower area to rest your neck and you can submerge all of your hair.

    For a while it was all about the acv/baking soda rinse all over youtube. How does this compare?

    • @jodecijammillinghaus3743
      @jodecijammillinghaus3743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bentonite clay is like charcoal, it draws out impurities and I think in combination with the apple cider vinegar it’ll be the ultimate deep clean. Baking soda dries out your hair/ skin and I think it’s a bit harsh.

  • @yvline.eve-lyn
    @yvline.eve-lyn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Please send help! I used the clay mask to detox my locs and I now have pieces of clay stuck in my locs. 😩😖 I believe that the clay is now stuck to the buildup that I was trying to get rid of. Instead of removing the building up, it has now changed the buildup from a dull color to a much more noticeable white color. Do you have any tips for fixing this problem? Thank you!

    • @naturallyniah601

    • @KeishaCharmaine
      @KeishaCharmaine  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sia Charles I never had the issue of losing my parts after a wash. My guess is because I retwist biweekly, my parts are trained to stay.

    Great video! I’ve actually done a video on This Bentonite Clay deep clean I absolutely recommend it!!!! 👌🏾 it made my Locs and scalp feel squeaky clean! It removed all buildup and left my Locs feeling light and soft as you mentioned. I had no problems washing the clay out. I will most definitely use it again without a doubt! 😊💆🏽‍♀️
    I don’t think what you saw was build up left in your Locs I think it was just your old dye colour poking through. The Bentonite does lift all dirt and buildup out so I guess it will strip colour from your hair. I have some bronze colour left over colour in my Locs which the treatment left my hair looking more vibrant and rich. I think your hair came out great! 👌🏾
    Would you consider using the Treatment again?
    I definitely will be using it again I would say every 6 months or whenever I feel I want a deep clean.
    I’ve not tried that nutregena Shampoo I would like to though. Congratulations on your product line 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I would like to try it one day I just hope the shipping is not too expensive to London England! 😉 thanks for sharing your experience stay blessed. 😘🙏🏾

      @KeishaCharmaine  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MAZZ 777 Naturals thanks! Honestly as I mentioned in the video I can tell that it’s a combination of both buildup on the surface and my old color peeking through and I’ll do the treatment again for sure

    Hey there, I did a betonite clay/ACV hair cleanse twice this week but I still see a fair amount of build up on my locs. I'm gonna do an ACV rinse today but would you say I'm probably best just using a natural hair dye to cover the build up/lint if it's still not coming out?

  • @yuraraina
    @yuraraina 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is they clay better then baking soda and AVC? Alot of people i seen squeeze their locs to get the build up out. Someone told me put the baking soda on my head then pour the ACV in it and rinse let it sit for 20 min, then rinse out with warm/hot water...to get it out also. Not sure if it's true or not.

  • @rijohnson5929
    @rijohnson5929 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I always wash my hair in the shower. I have a lot of hair also but my locs are a little thinner than yours. It's so heavy when it's wet lol. I've had bentonite clay in my hair closet for a good while now and never had time to do it. I'm a busy, busy, BUSY mommy...and pregnant now with little boy #4 lol. One of these days I'll get to it. Love your hair sooooo much!

    What about head and shoulders? I have 3 month old braidlocs and I have been really going through it with the dandruff and itchy scalp? I was going to try the clay mask but im nervous about it. I just need some type of solution for this. Its really unbearable like I will literally wash my hair do a hot oil treatment and the next day my scalp will be flaky.

    • @KeishaCharmaine

    Bentonite Clay has a high lead content. It's not so safe to use on the skin due to lead absorption. Don't ingest it (as many do), limit skin exposure and don't apply to any type of skin lesion.
