Hi Keisha I've now started my loc journey and my sis used the crochet needle to give me that instant loc look I'm loving it, but what I really want to know apart from using my oils and everything else before I go to wrk I spray my hair with water every morning and leave it to air dry just to speed up the locking process is that in anyway going to b dangerous for my locs??

Hi Keisha! I am 17 years old and I love locs. I am having troubles convincing my parents to get locs. When I turn 18, I am allowed to get my locs.I will be 18 March 22. When I do turn 18, I wouldn't know where to get my locs done at. I have been looking on the computer to see where to get my locs done. Their are no dreadlocks salons where I live.If I do it by myself, I am afraid it wont look nice. I really want to get my locs done professionally. I found a braiding and dreadlocks salon where I live but I am not sure if that is a good place to go. I love locs but I am not sure where to get them done at. What should I do?

sugarlegs cc fortunately most stylists know how to start locs. You'll definitely be able to find someone who can start them for you.
In another video, you mentioned you don't like to dry your hair with heat; so how do you keep it from getting the smell?? I have gotten it a few times and just clean it with apple cider vinegar but if you have other tips to keep it from getting the smell I'm willing to try that.
Peace love I squeeze out the water as much as I can and then let it sit in a towel for 20-30 minutes. Let I let it down and get air and sun. Sun kills mildew btw, that's what you're smelling.
You look so beautiful 😍 I was wonder what should I do to my hair .. I was asking this because my hair had a bad reaction to a shampoo I tried to make . This was about 3-4 months ago and since then my hair has been thinning out at the root and some sadly have been breaking off. I don't want to start over and cut my hair, it's already been 5 years 🙏🏾. Please help me if you can with tips and or suggestions 🙌🏾😫🙏🏾please and thank you
__GoddessLeo___ hey thanks! Could you give me the specifics on the shampoo you made, how often you used it and did it only affect your roots?
Keisha Charmaine I used the same ingredients that you used In your previous video for how to make shampoo the only thing differently I did was use green tea and I think a little more black soap. I used it 3 times on myself and once on my friend . My friend didn't lose his hair but my hair was itching a lot and became more drier than usual. I stopped using it and started back to use my dr bronners peppermint shampoo.
__GoddessLeo___ I recommend that you lay off Dr. Bronners as well since it can be drying too. Try using shampoo that adds moisture. Lay off the retwists for a while to let your roots thicken back up

__GoddessLeo___ I don't have a specific shampoo recommendation but definitely use Jamaican black castor oil on your scalp and roots
What is th massager you use??
isn't brushing your mature locks cause more frizz than "normal"? I use a stocking cap to sleep so my hair won't "wake up" messy. Thanks for the hacks!
No it doesn't cause frizz on locked locs.

Dierdre Cole if you haven't already seen them KC has several more vids on loc coloring..."loc dye journey, loc coloring" can't wait until you get the RED of reds lol you'll enjoy it. I had red for a year, I want to go back 😫 embrace the color you have now though it'll make the walk easier.

1msnicky you probably need a thinner one or a different color. If you Greg really thin one the colors won't matter
