    Thank you .I started last October and have lost 90 lbs with home exercise . People laugh at me walking backwards and on toes and up hills. I don't care what they think .I'm proud of what I've done.thank you again.

      Thank you for this encouraging video! 👍
      I’ve owned a Cellerciser rebounder (for which I paid over $500 that included a lifetime warranty) for several decades…
      and its quality, benefits and convenience continue to be fantastic!
      However, I’m In my 79th year and have been living in Florida for the past 10 years. Due to a
      series of events, several months ago, I purchased a charming little house in Indiana, that was built in 1933, in order to be closer to my family.
      As it is being renovated, I’m continuing to live in Florida. However, most of my belongings have been moved to the garage of my new home - - including my valuable and much appreciated rebounder.
      I’ve been missing my rebounder and the important lymphatic exercise and other valuable factors
      that it can give me… so I’ve tried using a cheaper, smaller, rebounder, instead…
      …but it caused pain in my neck and shoulders, due to its poor quality.
      I’m not willing to purchase a new Cellerciser because they now cost upwards of $600…and I’ve not been able to find a used one on Facebook Marketplace.
      Therefore, I’ve been wondering if I could achieve nearly the same effect by simply bouncing, in place, as you’ve demonstrated.
      I’m thrilled to know that I can! 😀
      Thank you for so efficiently explaining that I can, indeed, achieve what I need during this period of several months, until I move to my new home.
      This is the first time that I’ve watched your TH-cam channel, so I have given it a “like“ and I have subscribed.
      Thank you, again, for this video! ☺️

    Don't recall ever having a doctor mention the lymphatic system to me -- but the more I read about it, the more it seems to be "key" to many areas of health. The up-and-down affect of bouncing (or rebounding) is another way of making gravity an ally. Great addition, Tim!

    I jump on my rebounder every morning without fail. It's the perfect way to start my morning workout. I work with the geriatric population doing physical therapy and 99.9% of them are not rebounder material. I incorporate a lot with Qi Gong moves such as shaking of the LEs and UEs to help remove toxins and increase mobility. I will add this gentle non-rebounder rebounding to the mix. Thanks, Tim!

    Hey there, Thank you so much for the video, Tim. Found you searching DIY rebounder because I love rebounding but-- you're so right! This is very close to the same thing. I'm cert Energy Medicine Yoga and we also have a move that is similar and super great where we clasp the hands in front of the chest or outwards, go into a seated chair-ish position and stamp the heals down. It is incredibly powerful. With these reminders, I'll be ramping up and playing around with this a bit more before looking further into any type of DIY rebounder.

      I feel refreshed, get some energy out of it, and once i had a bit of bloating and i did it for 3 min straight and i got so relieved. In the long term this may be very good for health. I will be consistent with this because it seams pretty healthy. And the fact that is a thing that we do trought the day, and not 1h thing and we stop.
      And the more i do it, as i need to be there with my self, i work on relaxing what is tense. I work on staying in good posture while doing it.Because i tend to drop my neck to much, or relax the pelvis too much and round the back...And forcing those parts to go into place is a good reminder for the body to stay in a good posture.
      And i saw too that this is great for bone desity, lymph drainage, blood flow, and many other things...
      Sorry for the long reply but i think is a good thing to do

    This is excellent!! I just tried it and it feels very good; and it's not hard on the joints.
    I think it may be a good addition to my warm-up before exercising. I read somewhere that plyometric movements, such as jumping, before a workout help fire-up the nervous system. I found that to be very useful for strength training and noticed that it "wakes up" the body, especially on days when one feels not sufficiently switched-on. However, jumping is harder on the joints, so, your method may be a great alternative.
    Thank you, Tim.

    Shaking, There is a healing modality or therapy Trauma release exercise, not sure if the originator of it witnessed kids and dogs shaking during bombings in Lebanon and saw that after the bombings, months later, adults would reflect having health issues whereas kids and animals were fine, the only difference was the shaking/non shaking... (not sure if I am recalling the info correct as to whether it was Lebanon or whatever but the fact is shaking versus non shaking. Trauma release exercise focuses among others on the psoas muscle. But as I see you jump/skip, this is close to shaking... a great release of pent up emotional trauma, fears and so forth and stress..

    Yes even though I have weak ankles this sounds much better than jumping in place or jump roping and much cheaper than buying a heavy-duty rebounder that will last for a plus size body on a limited income. Thanks @Original Strength this is what I been needing for a few yrs now and didn't think to look up substitute exercises for rebounding. Of course I sorta had an idea that you could just do something like this instead! Now what suggestions do you have for unaligned spine and hips besides a chiropractor what do you think about Essentrics exercises or do you have something better for alignment, strength and stability and also for weak ankles? I guess it all comes with the unaligned spine and hips but I had weak ankles I knew about the unalignment probably from my childhood feet not being properly pronated can't remember proper name I was told about my feet always had feet that went inwards not till I was about a teenager when my step dad told me to try to remember to walk with my feet out as much as I could remember to do and with high arches of course if I didn't have good shoes my feet always roll inwards but keeping them straight now I know why I tripped in gym so much as a child. My mom did have a chance to get me braces to correct it but she couldn't afford it so I went without that help. Just like I went without braces for my teeth as a child, etc.

    I learned that I can rebound using the force of my body slightly bending my knees back and forth saving my calf muscles. It's as if my feet on my toes has become a makeshift trampoline. Kind of like when I was a kid not using my legs to swing but body if this makes sense. When doing this I must grab onto a fixed object however to keep my balance.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes, there are differences, though I wouldn’t know how to quantify them. For example, the springs of the trampoline could allow a person to rebound longer or jump higher with more force and less consequence. But if I’m just trying to flush out lymph nodes and activate the vestibular system, the floor is pretty accessible!

    I have back issues and have a reformer bed with a rebound trampoline at the feet level. Does rebounding lying on my back as effective as rebounding standing upright?

    Hi. How long should this be done for? Should it be done in just one set amount of time or in reps such as do it for 2 minutes, stop, rest, do it for 2 minutes etc.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No real prescription. The best thing would be to do it often, every day, throughout the day if possible. 30 seconds to a few minutes - whatever fits your mood and situation. I like to do it for about a minute if I need to wake up, loosen up, or want to get some energy flowing.

    Whats is difference witg resounding and jump rope please?

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Perhaps the difference will be found in the intent in which they are approached? Jump roping tends to be for specific time and duration and purpose, like exercise. Rebounding tends to be aimed more towards restoration and relaxation and health. Both are good, but typically their aim is different.

      If walking is ok, this should be. Just remember, don’t move into pain. If it hurts, don’t do it. Also, feel free to check with your trusted medical professional about anything you’re unsure about.

      There have been no studies that I know of to determine this. I would imagine in a good better best world that are rebounder would be towards the best end of the scale. But that is just my imagination.

      It seems like it would, but probably not as “good” as rebounding in that the bounce and recoil is quite different
