@@MrDzl19 They're not the top top tier headsets when it comes to soud quality, I have ones that are a lot better quality but for a headset mic combo you'll be hard pressed to find a better combo in my opinion at least. All in all I'm very content with them.
Just purchased it, very good, the muffs fit comfortable very little pressure on the ears, sound is amazing especially on games like Doom Eternal and Modern Warfare
I have had the headset for a year now, Its an average headset. The volume doesn't go very loud unless you plug directly in to your computer, skipping the usb hub. The surround works OK, not the greatest. The headset is very comfortable though, it hasn't bothered me enough to go buy new ones, so in this price category I think its one of the better ones. If you can spend more I suggest it.

So close to buying these at one point, but I decided to look at the professional reviews for a more verified opinion. Unfortunately, they are outclassed by the Hyperx Cloud, Corsair and Logitech headsets. I went ahead and bought the Hyperx Cloud Alpha headset, I have been thoroughly satisfied and couldn't wish for a better headset.
Got them yesterday night and their are sounds I haven’t heard before until wearing these in game. These are my favorite and like the ear cups more than beats studios, they are much more comfortable.

What settings did you use in CSGO? I just bought this headset and when I turn THX on in CS:GO it just sounds like the audio is coming from the bottom of a barrel, very muddy, can't hear anything in the distance.
I've gotten a reply from Razer and after some tries, I put the RAZER KRAKEN TE - GAME as the default device (not THX like synapse says), and then, in game changed the audio from stereo to 5.1 surround, and it kinda sounds good. I don't know if better than just stereo or if it does make the footsteps better, but atleast doesn't sound so muffled.Also check that Game/Chat balance on USB dongle hardware is set to mid. Maybe that helps you. From what I can understand THX isn't just like the softwares that make your audio directional, it's more of an app based and it needs app support to really work properly, so in a way the THX surround is useless basically.

Just got this headset, its very comfortable. More comfortable than the hyperx cloud pro that I used before. But the razer synapse software is garbage. When I uninstalled it I got much better fps in games.

No, surround sound is done virtually through softwares, so you can only use it on PC, so if you’re gaming on console, don’t bother with surround sound headphones its a scam. you can do a bit if research and see that most pro players use normal stereo headphones even on PC. In games like rainbow six siege and csgo, i’ve heard that stereo is better than surround because the game already does a good job at identifying where the sounds come from. so basically any good stereo headset should do.

Why the H... does nobody talk about that the virtual surround on these headphones sucks. its NOT surround sound just because the sound has more ecco and dept. Most of the time it just sounds like you are on a toilet, and also it cant fit the enviroment.. its always bathroom sound rather than mountains, forrest, pipes, hallways and so on. Surround Sound is suposed to make you know where the soundsource is located, these cant give other than stereo sound "left, center, right", and the software doesnt give any options to alter the sound to give a virtual surround experience. To compare what I have, Trust GXT340 7.1 virtual surround headphones. OK, same issue, still stereo, and the "Surround Sound dept" is still kinda just ecco´ish. But where Razer only just do Left, Center, Right. The Trust´s software can alter the sound volume of objekts that are suposed to be behind you. like this !!! Facing a soundsource 10 feet away = 100% volume, Facing away from a Soundsource 10 feet away = 80% volume. Then you know its behind you. Razer cant do this, its allways 100% volume even if it is behind you and that doesnt give any idea of direction sound, it SUCKS. My Son has the Razer Kraken TE, and I have Trust GXT, so Ive tryed them both. Testing them like this, go into a game, find a pinpoint sound source, close your eyes and spin around alot, then try to locate the sound source blinded. - the Razer is more or less 50% chance that you look at it or face 180degree in the oposite direction when you open your eyes - the Trust you can 100% turn to face the sound source each time. Iam NOT telling you that the Trust is a better headphone, its not, its cheap and the sound isnt the best. but then again, the microphone on the Kraken is poor.
Do you get 7.1 surround sound without using the adapter or do you have to use the adapter to get the THX or 7.1. Basically is the 7.1 surround sound built in the headset like most others, allowing you to use it without the adapter and still the have the 7.1 surround sound.

Try to go in the control panel where you see all the audio devices, select your microphone, go in the settings and set an higher quality.
I have got this issue once but it fixed itself in a couple of minutes

I've had both and I chose to sell the corsair void pros for the Razer ones. The only pro the corsairs had was that they were wireless.

that wont work, the THX controller uses power from the USB, and the aux doesn't transfer power, only sound frequencies
