Y’all can try the trains/subway if there’s a direct route. It’s much cheaper, maybe $3-$4 for 2 persons

Glad she was able to push pass her fear of heights and enjoy the sights and overall experience. Really felt for her in the first few minutes. Appreciate the understanding of Singapore's limitation of history and space and resources. You are right. Singapore is young and we started with little, and we looked to the future. Europe has history and legacy, and tradition and it is beautiful and inspiring in its own way. And then there are natural wonders like The Grand Canyon in the U.S. which has its own grandeur and should be appreciated for its own beauty and inspiration. The important thing is as you have done, is to appreciate each in its own context. Hope you had a good time in Singapore.

You should stay in a budget hotel and take public transport like train and bus, eat at hawker centres which will save you a lot of money.

You should try our local hawker food, some of which is Michelin rated and even beat Gordon ramsay in a cook off the last time he came here 🤣

Singapore success due to no corruption, which every country should learn from.. Once a poor, a very small, no resource country, become one of the richest, prosperous.. Respect for Singapore..

The reality is Singapore is one of the most corrupt nation in the world. It is the place where financial crooks keep their fund. Recent Panama paper shows that most of the dirty monies being laundered into Singapore

18 'Avatar' looking trees in Marina Bay
    1. They are known as the Super Tree groves
    2. Singapore does not have any natural resources, beautiful landscapes of mountains, valleys, lakes, waterfall, beaches... rich history and culture, etc...implementation and use of advanced technology is very much a part of us.
3.The man made trees could be ugly looking to some people. The main purpose is to collect as much sunlight as well as rainwater. These help to generate solar power as alternate energy to cool the Marina Bay area, provide lighting for the NIGTHLY lighting shows + fountains + 2 Huge conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) NO Electricity is needed.
4.The rainwater irrigate the plants in the whole area as well as the cooling system.
    5. The 18 huge man made trees are ugly looking to some people. And it's indeed artificial looking too. These super trees are fitted with solar panels to trap sunlight light and rainwater, the objective is on a different scale - not just aesthetically pleasing.
Singapore is so expensive. Not complaining FREE nightly lighting shows for everyone.
