As a black South African who grew up in the UK, I had the pleasure of visiting Singapore in 2018. During my 5-day, 5-night trip, I explored the Singapore Zoo, Sentosa Island, and the breathtaking Gardens by the Bay. Although it was an expensive trip, it was truly magnificent! As a black person walking the streets of Singapore, I felt a bit isolated, but I still had an amazing time exploring Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay. What impressed me most was the city's peaceful and virtually crime-free streets. I felt completely worry-free, never needing to look over my shoulder. It was a refreshing change from my experiences in South Africa and London, where crime is a constant concern.
2019 I am a black woman from usa and i also felt safe walking the streets and eating in hawker areas and sightseeing. I know what you mean by feelijng isolated but that is part of solo travel. I will be going back this fallll.
@@gwenturner1623 Good on you, mate! I hope you have fun mate..I tell you what mate. When I felt isolated, I chuckled to myself and said, 'I'm not a minority anymore, I'm an endangered species, lol! Seeing I was the only black person at that time..lol I plan to re visit Singapore in 2026 with family
Hello there, lovely to hear of your trip and sorry you felt a little isolated. I find Singaporeans are lovely people, always up for a polite chat. If you visit again, I hope you enjoy their friendliness. (:
brown USA lady, and they were so super nice to my daughter and me. Super safe! I would live there, but cannot afford it, so Queretaro fits my budget. I stayed 2 weeks on Orchard Rd. Shangrila Resort.
"Wow, Singapore has so much to offer! From stunning architecture at Marina Bay Sands to the vibrant cultural hubs of Little India and Chinatown, this video highlights all the must-visit spots. Can't wait to explore Singapore in 2023!"
I'm going to Singapore for my birthday vacation as a solo female traveller from India next month October❤ you are really pretty much covered everything I have also travelled in Dubai last year and yes there is so much to see in Singapore I'm so excited❤❤ thank you so much
Thank you Sir... I been to Singapore back in month of Feb, 2005. It was amazing experience. Looks like, now Singapore has been added so many attractions for the locals and tourists. Good job....
I concur with your list. In the area of Joo Chiat, exploring the enclave in east coast road and joo chiat road is interesting too. It would be a different experience from Holland Village.
Love Singapore leaves Thailand for dead has so much to offer love the place of course prices are steep of course that is the way it goes.Look at USA Disneyland etc expensive as our Currency from Australia of course is weak as usual. But it will only keep going up so get there when you can just love Singapore, all of it.
Fun fact: The Cutfather & Joe remix of A1’s “No More” was filmed there! And I digress, but I’m thinking about reviving An American Tail (where the main characters in the movies see the world hence the name “Tanya’s Worldwide Tails” or “Tails Beyond America”, speaking of Fievel’s big sister, Tanya has the saloon girl design she had in the third act of Fievel Goes West but with a mom bod and Cholena from The Treasure of Manhattan Island, also all grown up, looks like Tanya in FGW and herself at the same time, heck, they might even have a team of their own to see the world and possibly defeat the surviving villains of The Treasure of Manhattan Island, Mr. Grasping, Toplofty & O’Bloat) and VeggieTales via Boyz in the Sink: A VeggieTales Movie (where their characters are in their original designs; possibly with thicc non-skin-coloured thighs and new additions to the band like Jerry Gourd, Bob the Tomato, Archibald Asparagus and possibly Mr. Nezzer and the French Peas), with the likeliness of A1 making cameos there (as a boy band, or in this case, music group of attractive male canines in AAT, and maybe even as themselves, probably as birds or humans or vegetables, in VT, if Boyz in the Sink will ever encounter real boy bands alongside real singers like Akon in Senegal, Africa via the song “Survival”, they might even do an a cappella version of the song by the artist featuring Eminem “Smack That”).
At the moment Singapore is a front runner for my 40th in 18 months spend 4 days in the city and 7 in Bali is there a top recommendation for 4 days in the city? I love rollercoasters but universal Singapore doesn't have many at all!
CHIJMES (pronounced "chimes", acronym definition: Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus Middle Education School) is a historic building complex in Singapore.
FYI, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome are on the same ticket, so there's no reason to do one and not the other. Floral Fantasy is a separate (expensive) ticket.
Yeaaahhh you know they are not Chinese Chinese... But you were the Chinese for them! Unhappy to see this but maybe the change may turn out to be good for you... Hope so at least...
just visited singapore. well it didn't had anything to offer that is quite unique given how expensive this country is. like Dubai is expensive sure but the pricing is justified given how unique experiences your gonna get there. its quite unmatched. But singpoare seemd quite booring and flat to me and way too expensive.
Singapore is really small, plus we have no natural rss like dubai. Plus, u need to remember that sg is only 50ish years old which is rlly young. So we have a lot less space and oppurtunities compared to dubai😊
Singapore is very boring. Nothing much natural that they can be proud of. The best thing to do if you are there is to get out and go over to Malaysia or other parts of Southeast Asia. Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam , Cambodia, Sabah, Sarawak many other great choices!!
No shit theres not much natural stuff. Do u know how small we are? Other countries are enormous compared to us and we can literally drive from one side to the other in a few hrs. Theres a reason were called the little red dot...

CHIJMES (pronounced "chimes", acronym definition: Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus Middle Education School) is a historic building complex in Singapore.
Yup :) it used to be a school before it branched out into the 9 different CHIJ schools
@ 9:04 - "O -" best cut
Chijmes' chapel at 23:00 min of your video is where the wedding was filmed in the movie Crazy Rich Asians.
How many days to stay in Singapore to see all of this?
FYI, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome are on the same ticket, so there's no reason to do one and not the other. Floral Fantasy is a separate (expensive) ticket.
Please turn volume up

No. Not a lot of stuff compared to other countries cause sg is vry small.
Incorrect on the MRT, it was not built by the Japanese and they actually don't have the best railway systems, that would be the Chinese.
